Continuity: Close to the end of the film when the Green Goblin bursts in the window of Aunt May's house, in one shot you can see she is leaning by the side of the bed, and in all other shots she has her head on the bed.

Trivia
Not a mistake, more of an egg...When Peter gets home after seeing MJ at the diner, he mentions to Harry about getting fired by Dr. Conners for being late. Dr. Conners is also known as the Spider-Man villain The Lizard. Also, during the first scene with JJJ, he tells his staff to get better pictures of Spider-Man and the black guy responds, "Eddie has been trying all week"...This could be Venom, aka Eddie Brock who was also a reporter for the Daily Bugle. Could these have been hints as to future Spidey villains? See more...

No comic book discrepancies, please...
Revealing: Aunt May obviously flinches and her voice falters a second before the Green Goblin crashes through the wall.
Other: When the tram with all the kids is falling, the kids are yelling. The adult behind them isn't yelling & looks bored.
Continuity: During the bridge scene the wire supporting the tram/cable car was obviously anchored on the other end when the Green Goblin was holding it, because the car's suspended on a near horizontal line, with the regular support at one end and the Goblin on the other. All well and good, and even after Spider-Man grabs Mary Jane we see the car drop with the wire still looped through the pulley, both ends visible. In the next shot from above though, the other end of the wire's disappeared, and the car's now just hanging off a single cable which is attached to the top of the car. How'd that happen?
Other: When the cable car is dropping and swinging around, the occupants of the cable car remain standing in the same position. They should have been thrown to the floor when the initial drop was halted, and should have been tossed from side to side in the car as it swung around.
Continuity: In the scene just before the final fight between the Goblin and Spider-Man, Spider-Man gets knocked through a wall and rolls right up against another wall, but when the bomb flies in as he's getting to his feet, he's suddenly in a much more open area with no wall anywhere near him.
Factual error: During the bridge scene, when the Green Goblin first holds Mary Jane by her throat, his left thumb is visible. All further shots show no thumb under Mary Jane's chin. Actually, the left hand then seems to be holding Mary Jane by her right shoulder. Even when Mary Jane, who is not a super-human, is held by her throat, she is able to move her head, look down and scream.
Continuity: In the final battle scene, Goblin's costume alternates between clean (green) and dirty (white/dusty) throughout the scene.
Continuity: In the final battle, the blood on Spider-Man's chin and under his nose keeps disappearing and reappearing.
Continuity: At the end when Spider-Man dumps the brick wall on the Green Goblin, the wall is still in one piece after it's landed in the long shot, but when the angle changes, the wall's almost destroyed, and the Goblin pushes his hand up through rubble.
Revealing: In the final punch-up, shortly before Osborn reveals himself, Peter pulls the Goblin to his feet and pushes him against a large foot/foot and a half thick brick wall, which wobbles.
Continuity: At the end of the film when Spider-Man is beating up the Green Goblin against a wall, Green Goblin reveals himself, and suddenly the distance from Spider-Man has changed from being really close as in face to face, to about 2 foot away.
Continuity: At the end of the film when we see Norman Osborn offer Peter his hand, if you watch he offers his hand twice.
Factual error: When Spider-Man is hanging under the bridge holding the cable car and the Goblin charges at him the final time, he gets hit on the head by a gas can presumably thrown by one of the motorists watching from the bridge. However, for the can to have hit when and where it did, it would have had to curve out and around a four foot railing and some ten feet of concrete and steel before making its way underneath the bridge and some distance in to strike the Goblin. Not only was this an incredible curve ball that was precisely aimed at a target not directly visible by the person who threw it, but it still managed to impact with enough force to knock the Goblin off course.
Continuity: At the end of the film just before Norman Osborn's glider zooms in and kills Norman, Norman is standing right by the hole in the wall, yet when the glider hits him, he has moved quite some distance to his left and is now at a large part of the wall.
Audio problem: At Norman Osbourne's funeral, we see Harry from the side saying to Peter that he is like family, but his face doesn't move when he talks.
Continuity: At the end of the film when we see MJ hugging Peter, in one shot you can see she moves her hand to his neck and close to his ear, yet from the front view, her hand is still on his back.
Continuity: In the final cemetery sequence, Peter and Mary Jane square off for a little heart to heart, with her touching his face tenderly with her black leather gloves. The camera intercuts between front views of both: in hers, her fingers are touching his ear lobe, in his, they are a inch below his ear lobe. In one quick cut of hers, the hand has disappeared completely, then in mid-sentence as they cut back to Peter, it's there again.
Continuity: In the end sequence between Peter and Mary Jane by Uncle Ben's grave, as the camera switches perspectives, there's a wayward lock of Peter's hair that disappears then reappears in different shots.
Continuity: Jameson is sitting in his office when another man bursts through the door. Jameson jumps and turns to look at him twice- first in the wide shot, and again in his closeup.
