Spider-Man (2002) - 162 mistakes

Continuity: When Peter shoots webs around his room and hits the rocket over, all that is on the nightstand is the cool light bulb lamp, the picture and the Dr. Pepper can. When it flips back to the nightstand again you can see some weird green alarm clock next to the overturned picture.

Continuity: When Peter is practising throwing spider webs in his bedroom, his first attempt hits a model rocket and it breaks in many pieces. A few shots later when he finally hits the Dr. Pepper can, as he whips it across the room you can see the rocket back in one piece, just leaning against the wall.

Continuity: When Peter and his uncle are talking in the car, and the camera is on Peter, you can see lots of plants and bushes in the background. When he gets out of the car, there are no plants or bushes.

Audio problem: When one of Bonesaw's blond hench-women gives him a crow-bar to hit Spidey with, you hear her say "Kick his spider ass," but her lips don't match with what she is yelling.

Continuity: After the wrestling match when Peter goes to collect his money only to receive 100 bucks, he argues with the guy, if you watch, the guys hand is on the money bills, yet in the following shot, his right arm as well as his hand are on the desk.

Continuity: In the scene on the street, right after the crook escapes with the wrestling money, Peter is standing watching all the people rush to his uncle Ben - there is a girl wearing a black leather jacket, white shirt and black go-go boots walking with 2 guys. When Peter runs to his uncle, she is behind him. When Peter pushes through the crowd, the girl is already there, to the right of the shot.

Other: After Uncle Ben gets shot, he is clutching his wound. When Peter shows up, they hold hands until Uncle Ben dies, yet there is no blood on Peter's hand. If Uncle Ben were just covering a gun shot wound, wouldn't there be blood on his hand, which would then be on Peter's?

Continuity: After Uncle Ben dies and Peter takes off down the alleyway there is an obvious cut to a green screen. His hair was flowing in the air, then becomes suddenly flat with no wind passing.

Continuity: When Spider-Man is chasing the crook with the gun, the crook shoots 7 times through the roof of the car. Shortly afterwards you can see 9 bullet holes in an overhead shot. As the scene moves along there is another overhead shot (just after Spider-Man jumps the bridge) - no bullet holes. Seconds later the bullet holes return.

Continuity: In the scene where Parker is chasing the robber into the abandoned warehouse you see the a shot of the robber holding the gun in his left hand and carring the money bag in his right hand. However the next shot you see him load a clip into the gun with the bag in his left hand and the gun in his right hand.

Continuity: When Uncle Ben's killer enters the warehouse he reloads his gun and pulls the slide back to cock it. Later, when he points the same gun at Peter, you can hear the distinct sound of the hammer being pulled back. However, despite cocking the gun twice, you can see that the gun is not cocked.

Continuity: When Peter Parker confronts Uncle Ben's killer in the warehouse, after Parker slams him through the glass windows in the door, the killer drops his gun and pulls out a knife. After he is disarmed of the knife, Peter kicks him up against the wall. At this point the killer has the gun back in his hand.

Factual error: In the graduation scene, watch for the giant spiky orange flowers behind Norman Osborn. These are tropical birds of paradise flowers which grow all over California but would never survive in New York. [Confirmation of that: one contributor was taking a studio tour at Sony studios in Culver City, CA on March 26, 2001, and saw the filming of the graduation scene, complete with Tobey and Kirsten zipping by sitting side-by-side in the jump seat of a golf cart.]

Continuity: When Osbourne is talking to Peter at the graduation, the scene keeps changing from him having one hand on Peter's shoulder to both to none. You see this just after Harry sees Mary Jane break up with Flash.

Revealing: In the scene after Spider-Man stops the convenience store robbers, it shows a newspaper article. This article virtually repeats itself. Here's what you can read: "Witnesses claim an unknown masked man was seen exiting the Ling Deli after stopping two suspects from attempting to rob the establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail....(cutoff)....attempting to rob that same establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail."

Other: During the shots of newspapers with articles about Spider-Man, if you look closely at the shot of the newspaper article just before the shot of Spider-Man putting on his mask, the second column is repeated in the fourth column - easiest to spot is "NYPD spokesperson, Sean Young..." appears twice.

Continuity: When Peter and Mary Jane are talking outside the diner, her trechcoat collar is first lying flat, then is tucked in, then is flat. It happens several times when the shot goes back and forth from Peter to Mary Jane.

Continuity: When Mary Jane and Peter are talking in the street right after she left the diner, every time a car passes by behind her and then the camera goes to Peter, those cars would mysteriously vanish since you can clearly see that there are no moving vehicles behind him.

Continuity: When Peter is talking to Mary Jane outside the diner, the same man is seen walking behind Peter 3 or 4 times - biggish man with a flat cap on. First when Peter says "so you're acting now?", then when he talks about Harry not living on earth, then again when Mary Jane walks off.

Continuity: When Peter is talking to Mary Jane in front of the diner, a light maroon colored caddy passes by twice. The first time when she says she just got off a job, the second when the boss shouts at her. Sure, there could be two cars the same color in NY, but with the same driver...?
