Other mistake: On the back cover of the DVD it says "An idyllic summer turns into a nightmare of unspeakable terror for yet another group of naive counselors." The cast of this film are Chris's friends, not camp counselors.

Continuity mistake: After Edna yells through the window at Harold for knocking down the clothesline pole, she slams the window shut and the end of the curtain gets trapped under the window. Then the scene cuts to show Edna from the inside, and look at the curtains from this shot. They are now hanging straight down, just like it should be and aren't trapped. (00:08:10)

Continuity mistake: When they arrive at the lake and get out of the van, the long shot from the passengers' side shows Chris getting out and slamming her door, but then the next shot from the driver's side shows her getting out and slamming the door again. (00:21:55)

Continuity mistake: When Chris is put in the police car at the end of the film, the car window rolls itself up higher between shots. (01:27:10)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When the kids get out of the van and run over to Abel, who is laying in the road, you can see Chuck and Andy standing next to see other (you can see their legs.) In the very next shot, Vera is standing in between them. (00:20:30)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Shelley runs and stops Vera in the car, to ask if he can go with her to the store, the car is in sunlight. In the next closeup, as she drives off, it is in complete shade. (00:28:35)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Jason swings the machete to kill Andy, he swings vertically, which would have cut him between the legs down to his head, as he was walking on his hands. Later when Andy is shown, he is cut horizontally at the waist. (01:00:15)

Suggested correction: This is wrong. It might look it at first, but if you pause it, he's cut vertically and his legs are simply stretched to be able to put the feet by his head. The cut reached just past his abdomen, so Jason spread Andy's legs to fit on the rafter, giving the illusion that he was cut in half horizontally.

Hogwash. I saw this scene and Andy was cut vertically, not horizontally. There is no illusion. Everything is too obvious.

That's what I said, vertically. The shot is quick, which is why some people think he's cut horizontally.

Continuity mistake: When Debbie is in the shower, as the camera pans towards the shower, you can see the towel hanging up and her bathrobe hanging over the towel. However when Debbie pulls the shower curtain back, the towel is now hanging over the bathrobe. (01:00:35)

Revealing mistake: When Jason throws a knife after Chris you can see the wire attached to the knife. (01:14:25)

Mortug

Deliberate mistake: After Chris gets stuck on the bridge and is trying to restart the van, a shot out the back window shows Jason running towards the van. He is badly limping and holding his knee because Chris just stabbed him in the knee. In the next scene, when Jason is chasing Chris away from the van, and for the remainder of the movie, Jason no longer limps. He walks and runs normally.

Continuity mistake: When Chili walks into the kitchen while Chuck makes popcorn, the pan goes from on the stove to on the table between shots. (01:03:00)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Edna keeps looking out the window, to see Jason take the clothes from her clothes line, the curtains keep changing position, and from shots outside the left curtain isn't visible but from inside, it covers a portion of the window. (00:09:05)

Plot hole: Jason is standing in plain sight of Chris and her friends and no one even notices? The sun is even shining on him. (00:35:55)

Revealing mistake: When Debbie is stabbed in the chest in the hammock, when the knife comes through you can see it's a fake chest made of rubber material.

Plot hole: When Loco goes up the ladder in the barn, he looks around for Fox. But he doesn't see her hanging by her neck until he turns around to go back down the ladder. There's no possible way he didn't see her the first time he went through there - there's nothing blocking the view.

Revealing mistake: Near the end of the movie, as they are about to walk out of the barn thinking everything is over and Jason has been hung on the hook from the loft, if you look between the cracks of the barn door, you can see Jason being lowered right before the doors open.

Andy: So how do we do it ?
Debbie: Well first we take our clothes off, then you get on top of me or I can get on top of you.
Andy: I know how to do it, but I mean... How do we do it... In a hammock?
Debbie: I guess we can figure something out.

Question: Where is it ever stated that the shots of unmasked Jason in part 2 are hallucinations of Ginny's, and that is the reason for the difference in Jason's appearance between part 2 & 3?

Answer: The very ending of part 2 proves this, as Ginny appears again found by the police and ambulances. 1) if Jason really got her she would be dead, not alive, he wrapped around her. 2) Paul was dead, not alive and 3) as far as Jason's appearance she would not be able to stand it at first glance, so in her head she would put more human features on his face to be able to deal with it.

Answer: It is never stated anywhere that she's hallucinating, some say that Ginny surviving is proof but Jason was badly injured, she could have gotten away, this is before Jason became supernatural. The changes in Jason's appearance is simply a continuity error.
