Revealing: You can see the rigging that is used to lift the bus off the ground to allow it to do the side skid.

Trivia
During the audio commentary, Jake Gyllenhaal actually spots some continuity mistakes, and points them out. The director then proceeds by telling him he's not doing the film any justice. See more...
Visible crew/equipment: When Jimmy is first in his movie bubble, he turns the corner in his room and sees the stairs. As he turns the corner a crewmember's head is visible for a moment then he crouches.
Continuity: When Chloe's boyfriend Mark is in Jimmy's room, he is smoking a cigarette and it is starting to burn the rubber, turning it black. But in the next shot it's fine again.
Other: When Chloe tells Jimmy that Mark proposed to her, she gives him a snow globe. When he takes it out, it has no water in it, but when it cuts to a close-up, it does. Then when cuts and he bangs his head, it has no water in it again.
Continuity: When Chloe visits Jimmy's room for the first time, he reaches for his guitar and Chloe is seen from behind, at right, pulling her hair over and onto her right shoulder, leaving her left shoulder without any hair resting on or near it. When the shot reverses to show her from the front, her hair hangs freely down onto both shoulders again.
Continuity: When Jimmy first leaves his house and starts running down the street, the curb is straight as he passes in front of two houses and falls forward. The shot changes to show him getting back up, and the house at left is the house at right in the prior shot - meaning he's now run past at least three homes along this straight curb. The shot then changes to show Jimmy running away from camera, beginning in a cul de sac, which has a continuously curved curb, and he can't have past more than one house yet.
Revealing: When Jimmy is hit by his parents, he bounces off the road and into Dr. Phreak's trailer, and when Jimmy is bouncing you can blatantly tell it is a dummy.
Other: In the shot of Jimmy and Chloe tanning by the window, Bubble Guinea Pig is visible, but it isn't until the next scene that Jimmy receives him for Christmas.
Continuity: When Jimmy gets to the bus stop after getting out the house, the reflection on his bubble shows it's not very sunny. But when he turns around and gets hit by the 'Bright And Shiny' bus, it's very sunny.
Continuity: After Jimmy goes aboard the 'Bright and Shiny' bus, his mother discovers he is missing and screams. Several quick exterior shots follow as her scream continues. One of these shots is an overhead of the street Jimmy ran along earlier, and is actually the end of the very same footage. If you look hard, you can see Jimmy in his bubble at the end of the street, turning and looking left and right. Since he's on the bus already, he can't be here, too.
Continuity: When Chloe visits Jimmy's room for the first time, he glances at her chest and a close-up shows she has a purse hanging from her left shoulder. In all the wider shots before and after, the purse is on her right shoulder.
Visible crew/equipment: In the first shot of the movie, a nun is wheeling Jimmy in a hard plastic bubble down the hallway. If you look at the bubble a camera is reflected in it.
Audio problem: When Dr. Phreak is beating up Jimmy's bubble he's saying, "I'm not mini," yet his mouth is not moving.
Continuity: When Chloe is going up the stairs to Jimmy's room, the tubes on the stairs are shaking but when they go to the next shot the same tube in his room isn't moving.
Continuity: When Chloe visits Jimmy's room for the first time, he glances at her chest and a close-up shows she has a very ample endowment- very high, very round in the open area of her top. In the wider shots that follow, the open area of her top displays a very flat area, with her braless breasts settled much wider apart and lower.
Audio problem: When Jimmy is playing the guitar, while he's singing the theme to "The Land of The Lost" the guitar music and his strumming don't match up.
