Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988) - 45 mistakes

Revealing: When facing Jason after he throws Melissa with an axe in her head, you can see that the eye holes on the mask he wears are covered with black cloths.

Continuity: When Dan is in the woods the amount of wood he is carrying decreases.

Visible crew/equipment: As Tina swerves off of the road after seeing her mum get killed by Jason in the middle of the road, if you look in the back of the car, you can see a camera set up, filming the shots in the back seat.

Other: When Melissa opens the front door and Jason is standing there, he raises his right hand, holding an axe, and plunges it straight down. But when Melissa has the axe in her head it is on the opposite side and at a different angle than it should have been.

Revealing: When you see Jane pinned dead to the tree you can see her pulse.

Continuity: When the girl is thrown out the window you see her falling with her right shoulder first while crouching. In the next shot she falls directly onto her stomach.

Continuity: In the scene Robin tells Maddy she's going to get David, a cup of coke on the counter vanishes for a shot, the green napkins move around, and the blue flowery pattern on the bowl disappears and reappears.

Continuity: When Tina uses her psychic power to hang Jason, the size of the hole he falls through changes between shots.

Continuity: The bullet hole that Sheriff Garris shot above Jason's eye in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is missing from the mask in the movie.

Continuity: When Tina is driving, she swerves to avoid Jason. The trees that she almost hits change between shots.

Continuity: When Tina battles with Jason, the height of the basement roof drastically differs.

Visible crew/equipment: When the girl is knocking on the door while saying "Maddy?" you can see several shadows from persons moving alongside the wall beside her, even though she is supposed to be alone there.

Continuity: When Jason throws the girl out the window he throws her with her back first. When it cuts from the outside she is coming out the window face first.

Continuity: When Tina has run down to the decking (in the scene when she releases Jason from the lake) the prominence and position of tears on her cheeks keeps changing.

Continuity: Russell's dead body, lying on the shore, is in the wrong position. He crawled away from where he was sitting and was hacked in the face and fell backwards. Yet in the shot of him dead his head is resting next to where he was sitting originally.

Continuity: Melissa's position instantly changes between shots as Tina is going to the boot of her car to when it cuts to a closeup of Melissa speaking.

Revealing: When Jason lunges at Jane in the woods before killing her, in this closeup you can clearly see Kane Hodder's normal human right eye.

Revealing: When Dan is gathering wood for the campfire, in the shot when he splits a log with his machete you can clearly see that it was already broken.

Continuity: When Jane is waiting for Michael in the forest in some shots she is standing right beside a tree, in others no tree is visible (although it would be in shot if it were there.)

Continuity: Tina's pink t-shirt that Mike notices by his feet, which fell out of her suitcase, is not actually there in the shot beforehand and simply appears.

Continuity: When Jason shoves his fist through Dan in the woods his fist is bloody, but when he kills Dan's girlfriend, the blood is gone.

Continuity: As Jason steps out of the puddle, his clothing is dripping wet. Then in the next shot as he walks after Tina, his clothes can be seen, dry.

Continuity: When David says "The neanderthal man...," he puts his right hand on the girl's chest. When it cuts back his arm is no longer there.

Continuity: Just before Jane is killed in the woods, you see her standing with her arms crossed from the back. When it cuts in front of her she is crossing her arms again.

Continuity: When Jason swings the girl in sleeping bag against the tree, he grabs the head end, yet the head end is the one that hits the tree. [This is fixed and not a mistake in the uncut editions (theatrical and new release dvd) because the uncut scene has Jason taking six swings with the sleeping bag against the tree, including the head end.]

Revealing: Obvious stunt double for Tina as she drops the porch roof on Jason and when Jason grabs her and throws her onto the dock. Her hair becomes a smooth blonde wig.

Continuity: The tent that Judy and her boyfriend are camping in changes size between shots.

Revealing: When Tina kills her father and the dock collapses, one of the logs hits the camera underwater.

Visible crew/equipment: At the end, as Tina is calling her father to come get Jason, there is a huge black curtain visible which is hiding the actor underneath the dock.

Continuity: Outside the house when the last pillar on the porch breaks we can see Jason looking up and then to the side. When it cuts he looks up and to the side again.

Continuity: When Crews is opening the drawer to take out the iron pole you can see the pole changes position in the drawer between shots.

Revealing: When the fireman picks up pieces of the hockey mask, the pieces are to thin and fragile to be a hockey mask.

Continuity: When Eddie is reading stuff from his pile of paper you see the pile is disordered. When it cuts to the pile, it is fine.

Continuity: In the shot where Sandra notices Russell's dead body lying on the shore, Sandra's trainers are lying right next to her shirt and shorts. In every other shot her trainers are nowhere to be seen on the shore.

Revealing: When Jason pulls the tent spike out of Jane’s neck, her eyelids flutter.

Continuity: In the scene where Maddy hides from Jason, she is barefoot. In one shot she sees him, and bends down and grabs her shoes. In the next shot she picks them up once again.

Continuity: When Tina opens the door for Nick, the fridge door has magnets, an organizer and a cloth on it. Later when Tina's mum closes the fridge door everything is now off the door except for a magnet.

Continuity: When Robin tells Maddy that she's gonna stick with the deal and "have a good time" she opens her arms up twice between shots.

Continuity: When Dr. Crews and Mrs. Shepard first arrive at the cabin, the bags/cases they carry change between shots.

Continuity: Robin's position changes when she is thrown out of the window.

Continuity: The video monitor and VCR on Dr. Crews' desk disappear as Tina looks at the picture of her father. Additionally, there is a model train on the desk in some scenes, but not in others.

Continuity: When Tina's mother takes out the video cassette she doesn't close the video cover. When it cuts to Crews entering, the cover is closed.

Visible crew/equipment: When Jason is walking down in the forest you can see three spotlights on the upper right.

Continuity: When the girl is looking for her earring she kneels down beside a huge tree. Then suddenly the tree is gone.

Visible crew/equipment: When the girl is looking for David in a dark room you can see the film crew member holding the microphone reflected in the window while he is moving it.
