Continuity: When the Batmobile is going to park (before the bomb scene) there is a sign saying "Mobey Dick Parking Only". When he is later carrying the bomb and passes by the Batmobile the sign is not there.

Trivia
Cesar Romero refused to shave his moustache for the role of Joker, so it's still visible under his makeup. See more...
Revealing: When the Penguin is sliding down the zip line, just before he hits Batman you can see Batman throwing a punch at nobody, he is swinging at empty air.
Continuity: Near the end of the film we visit the office where the country representatives had argued earlier. Batman sets up the chemical equipment to bring them back. When it's done, where has the equipment on the seats gone?
Continuity: When Bruce Wayne escapes from the United Underworld (Joker, Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman), he climbs to the top of their hideout (Ye Olde Benbow Taverne) and jumps from the top of the roof (to the water below). But in the next shot, Bruce now jumps from the edge of the roof and dives into the water.
Other: Robin yells "Holy Polaris" before the rocket even breaks the surface of the water.
Other: The scene where the Penguin is dehydrating his henchmen. Watch as the last henchmen is dehydrated - the shot changes to the Penguin and the Riddler. You hear the Riddler's laugh but his lips don't move until the end of the laugh.
Revealing: When the Batboat leaves the dock, heading out to sea, the blurred rotors of the camera helicopter are constantly seen across the top of the shot.
Continuity: During the fight on the submarine, just before Robin punches the Joker into the water there is nobody else on the deck. When the Joker is shown falling overboard, two other henchmen are sprawled out on the deck near him.
Revealing: In the first shot of Adam West and Burt Ward driving in a beige '66 Imperial convertible, the camera zooms out above the car - but not before you can see that the two men in the car are stand-ins for Adam and Burt.
Continuity: When Batman discovers a bomb, he is driving towards the villain's hide out and you can see all the parking spaces are full except one, yet when he parks there are no cars on either side of him.
Other: When the Joker fires a missile near the end of the movie it curves to the left. The writing on the missile is backwards, showing that it is reversed footage from earlier in the film, when it curved to the right.
Continuity: In the helicopter scene in the first 10 minutes of the movie, Batman moves down on the ladder and stops. In that first shot you can see that there are about 10-12 rungs below him. In the next shot there are only two. Shortly after he gets attacked by the shark there are now at least four rungs below him, and yet he has not made any attempt to move up or down.
Continuity: When Robin is saving Batman from the shark, and he is hanging upside down to spray the shark repellent, his position in relation to Batman changes between shots (almost too far to reach, then he is suddenly close).
Other: When Penguin and the others attack Bruce on his date in his hotel room, Penguin is the first one to charge him. Bruce takes a swing at Penguin's face and he goes flying from the blow. You don't even need to slow the film down to see that Bruce totally misses him.
Continuity: When the villains are checking to see if Batman and Robin were hit by the torpedo, one shot has the submarine itself surfacing but in the next shot only the periscope is above water.
Continuity: The amounts of colored powder in the vials change in every shot; sometimes they are all equal, other times there are large differences between them.
Revealing: The Batcave was a stage set with no real exit for the car. So when the car exits for the first time here, one shot is looking into the cave from the tunnel as the Batmobile approaches and passes to our right. Just before the shot ends, the rear end of the car jumps upward and tire skid marks appear on the floor as the driver slams on the brakes to avoid hitting the studio wall that is out of the shot, while the audio suggests the car is still accelerating.
Continuity: When the Batmobile arrives on the pier, it's parked with its front end facing open ocean (against the orange contraption on the dock) and its tail toward dry land. But when Batman and Robin return and phone the Navy, the car has reversed direction (tail now against the contraption). It's not likely Batman would arrive back at the pier, start the car, turn it around, park in the same spot, shut the car off, reopen the doors and then make a call, only to then drive away.
Continuity: As the Batmobile arrives at the pier, it turns into a parking space, one of two available between a green VW Beetle and a white station wagon. In the close-up as Batman and Robin exit the car, the spaces on both sides of the Batmobile are empty. Judging by the location of the "Moby Dick" sign at the edge of the pier, the white wagon has disappeared.
Other: When the Batboat is approaching the submarine before the final fight, the shot from the periscope is an overhead shot, not a surface shot like all the others in the film.
Revealing: Batman is lowered into the ocean and a shark attacks his leg. When Robin in the Batcopter pulls both Batman and the shark up out of the water, the very fake looking shark has gallons of water pouring out the back of it where there must have been a large hole.
Factual error: When Riddler's rocket hits the Batcopter, the villains are watching from the periscope as Batman and Robin are crashing. However, the image they see is a straight-on shot, as if the lens were right in front of the copter. No pre-atomic periscope can reach that far up.
Visible crew/equipment: As the Batcoper emerges from its hangar, multiple crew and equipment are reflected in the cockpit's glass bubble.
Revealing: After leaving the Batcave for the first time, the Batmobile is shown from overhead, cruising down the road. It's painfully obvious the occupants are not Burt Ward and Adam West.
Revealing: Whenever the moving Batmobile is emitting flames from the afterburner, like when it leaves the Batcave for the first time, an object is hung below the exhaust port that resembles a camcorder. The gadget is part of the equipment added to make the car shoot flames while moving. During the TV series, flames are only seen in close-up of the car motionless, as this was a prop comprised of a copy of just the last few feet of the car. On TV, the car's rear license plate is visible. In this film, it's partially blocked by the added equipment.
Revealing: When the Batmobile emerges from the Batcave for the first time, the guard rail lays down and the car turns toward our right, disappearing in a cloud of dust. Watching carefully reveals the dust is being kicked up because the car was over-accelerated by the stunt driver, and spun out, heading back into the roadside brush.
Continuity: When Batman and Robin are trapped on the buoy, they can see the periscope for the submarine sticking above the water, yet whenever a torpedo is launched, it is shown approaching from a distance much further away.
Other: If you look closely at the top left part of the screen, you can see Penguin hit Robin with the umbrella and turn to the zip line in a far shot of the fight. One shot later, just after Batman kicks a pirate off the side of the sub, the same act is repeated when the camera is focused on the two of them.
Other: When Bruce Wayne enters Wayne manor after his escape from the criminal hideout, Bruce opens the door and closes it, but it doesn't latch. The door starts to swing open and then suddenly closes, as if a stage hand was there to close it.
Revealing: When Batman brings the Penguin to the Batcave the Batmobile skids to a stop on the gray floor. It then begins to rotate in the next shot and it's now on a black platform. When the Penguin emerges from the car and walks toward the rear of it, the platform is obviously gone.
Revealing: All the rear shots of the Batmobile in motion show flames emitted from the afterburner. But in the shot of it leaving the pier, the flames go out a few moments before the shot ends. The effects equipment failed or ran out of fuel.
Other: When Batman is climbing the ladder and the shark has his leg, Batman works very hard at trying to place his radio back on his utility belt only to have it fall off.
Other: When Batman and Robin watch the Polaris missile being launched from Penguin's submarine, they are facing toward dry land, while the ocean is behind them.
Visible crew/equipment: In the final fight scene on top of the submarine you can see the ripples and shadows on the painted sky backdrop behind the submarine.
Deliberate "mistake": When the fight first begins on deck of the sub, a henchman jumps from the hatch and picks up a wrench that was lying on deck. If the sub just surfaced, where did that wrench come from?
