Near the end of the film when Johnny Depp's lawyer brings him the tape recorder he has a cigarette pack on either side. After the lawyer leaves the room and he pulls the recorder towards him, both cigarette packs are on the same side of the tape recorder. See more...

When George is sharing a cell in prison with Diego, George is seen reading a paperback while reclining on his top bunk. The book is "Hells Angels" written by Hunter S. Thompson, the author whom Depp previously portrayed in the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998).
George Jung's daughter, Kristina, had a bit part as a clerk but her scene was cut.
This was the final movie for director Ted Demme, he died less than a year later while playing basketball, and cocaine was found in his system.
Director Ted Demme had Depp and the other actors snort milk powder to simulate snorting cocaine.
