If you wait till the very end of the film there is an extra Scene where Skeletor vows that he shall return, alluding to the sequel that never came.
The sound of the pink Cadillac stopping and powering down is the same as the DeLorean in the Back to the Future series.
The film was largely a disappointment both commercially and critically. A sequel to the film was written, but by 1989 the He-Man franchise was no longer popular, and the script was transformed into the action film Cyborg.
