Continuity: When Gwen is watching the soap opera Santa Gruz, together with Eddie, in the front shots of the TV screen, you see a video cassette on the top of the TV with the heading "SONY". But, in the side shots of the TV screen, you see that the same video cassette is turned.
Continuity: When Sandra Bullock is crying and being hugged by her sister, first, she has her sunnies in her hand but in the next shot, a reflection in the water, they're sitting on her head.
Continuity: When Gwen meets Gerhardt in the florist they hug and the position of their arms keeps changing in different shots.
Continuity: When Gwen and Eddie are sitting in front of the TV, the ginger snap box on her right flips over on its other side between shots.
Factual error: The sight of Andrea's body after she died of a heroin overdose should have been much more graphic. She wasn't foaming at the mouth, there were no needle tracks on her arm, and the cut she made on her leg a few days prior to her death is no longer there.
Continuity: On the back window of the limousine, the words Just Married and the hearts around it change in the exterior shots and interior shots (seen backwards) behind Gwen.
Continuity: When Andrea, Gwen and Eddie watch the soap, in the wide shot of the TV we see the wall behind it. In the close-up of the TV, the screen is much higher in relation to the wall, the two notices on the right are not taped next to the window frame, the tapes lying on top of the TV differ and there is no book on the TV stand in the wide shot.
Continuity: In the lounge at rehab, Gwen walks in with her white shirt sticking out at the bottom of her sweatshirt, but in the next full length shot of her, most of the white shirt isn't showing. Then in the next full length shot, it's all out again.
Continuity: When Sandra Bullock drives the limo into the house, a beige sleeve is seen on the arm of the driver, even though Ms. Bullock is wearing only black lingerie.
Continuity: Back in Manhattan, when Gwen comes home carrying a grocery bag, the carton of eggs changes position inside the white bag during the shots with Jasper.
Continuity: Saturday morning, when Gwen rolls over there is only a blue blanket on her and Jasper, in the shot from the top. Yet in the next side shot there is now also a purple comforter on top of them and there is also a blue pillow on Gwen's head.
Continuity: In Cornell's office, when Gwen speaks with him he's drinking out of a brown cup. In the next shot there's no cup in his hand, and he walks over to the window to get one. Confirmed on commentary.
Continuity: When they go into the drugstore and Eddie asks for the key to the men's room, his sleeves keep changing from being up at his elbows, to down by his wrists.
Deliberate "mistake": When the limo driven by Gwen (Sandra Bullock) runs over the white picket fencing it's not Sandra's face behind the wheel in the exterior shots. Also, when Gwen runs over the short white picket fencing, in the interior shot from the car the corner of an 'L' shape fence is being hit, then in the front exterior shot the end of a smaller fence is hit. This is cut from a longer sequence, the smaller fencing is seen way in the distance in the first shot.
Continuity: When Gwen is leaving in the car, Eddie runs up and stops the car. In the two shots from inside the car, the windshield wipers are going back and forth, but in the middle shot from behind Eddie outside, the wipers are not working.
Continuity: At the reception, when Gwen holds the platter she starts to eat from it using her mouth to pick up the food, while Jasper is talking to her. In the next shot, while she's still picking up the food with her mouth, Jasper is now chewing a mouthful of food, but he didn't put anything in his mouth.
Continuity: While dancing at the wedding, in a wide shot Jasper throws his arms into the air, but in the close-up with his hands still in the air, he's surrounded differently by the guests.
Continuity: When Gwen comes into the bridal suite, between her front and back shots, her pink shoulder straps change position, the amount of champagne in the glass changes, the white cloth in the ice bucket isn't in one shot. The sunglasses on her grey bag disappear when she reaches into her bag and the bouquet with the ribbon, under her arm, changes too.
Continuity: When leaving the bar, Gwen walks ahead of Jasper and seen behind Jasper are a man on a bicycle and other traffic driving by. In the next shot, the same man on a bicycle, the taxi cab and van go past again, albeit a bit differently.
Continuity: Gwen kisses Jasper and says, "Bye, Jasper." before she turns around the collar of her sweater is straight and aligned. In the next shot of her turning around, one collar end is folded under the sweater.
Continuity: While putting on Santa Booze, there is a string through a straw around Gerhardt's face. The string and its knots are positioned differently in most of these shots.
Continuity: On the sign that Gwen wears, 'Confront me if...', the letters have different print in shots, even within successive scenes, when it's supposed to be the same sign around her neck.
Continuity: When Gwen and Jasper sit in the boat on the lake, her sunglasses and bread change positions in the close-up facing Gwen and close-up facing Jasper and the wide shot. In other shots facing Jasper and facing Gwen, their hand positions differ and the blue thermos handle changes position too.
Continuity: The scar that Gwen has on her forehead changes its shape and/or its position in different close-up shots throughout the film.
Continuity: On the first night at the Rehab Center, Gwen's pillow keeps changing position in the close-up and wide shots.
Continuity: Near the end of the movie, when Gwen gets into the cab to go home, she throws her bags into the car and gets in on the left side of the car. The next shot shows her sitting on the right side where the bags were.
Continuity: When Gwen first finds Andrea, the shoe lace is on the floor with the hypodermic next to it, but in the close-up the needle's direction differs. Also, the sock monkey with its stuffing pulled out and the rest of the things are on the toilet. These things differ in their position in the few shots of the toilet.
Continuity: When Gwen pulls a chair out for Andrea she's holding a cup and the script, and in the back shot the paper isn't folded. Yet in the front shot, it's folded in half. When Andrea sits, in the back shot she holds the sock monkey in her right hand, but in the front shot it's in her left hand.
Continuity: In the scene in which Gwen is re-enacting the soap opera for Andrea, she has gold dangly things in her hair. Notice in different shots the number on either side increases and decreases.
Continuity: In the wedding reception, when Gwen and Jasper are drunk and dancing, they begin spinning in circles while holding hands. In most of the shots Gwen is holding onto the bow from the back of her dress. But in one shot, shortly before she falls into the cake, it magically appears on the back of her dress again.
Continuity: While performing in Santa Booze, Bobbie Jean's hair at her shoulders, her black eyeglasses necklace and her neckline change throughout. Also, while Gwen and Gerhardt are performing, the bottom light on the floor lamp behind them changes positions in the close-ups and wide shots.
Continuity: When Gwen and Eddie both reach for the remote in the lounge, in the first shot he picks it up, has it in his hand and she's trying to pry it out of his hand, but in the next shot the remote is still on the box of baseballs and she gets it first. The books on the coffee table differ between these shots too.
