Other mistake: Aurora is celebrating her sixteenth birthday but there are only 14 candles on her birthday cake.

Continuity mistake: While Phillip is imprisoned, Maleficent tells him that Aurora is sleeping. When we see her asleep, a thick strand of hair appears on her bosom in the close-up.

Continuity mistake: While Maleficent is in her throne room filled with her henchmen in the Forbidden Mountains, she's wearing her large ring on the index finger of her right hand, but in some shots, that ring is either on her left hand or has vanished altogether. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: Anytime the eye colors of the fairies are shown, Fauna's are very obviously brown. However, when the fairies are with Aurora after the curse takes place, a close-up of Fauna holding a handkerchief shows her with blue eyes.

Continuity mistake: While making the dress, when Flora and Merryweather fight over its colour, the bowl behind Merry keeps swapping between having food or not between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Merryweather goes to fetch the wands the floor is scattered with pieces of fabric. When she comes back it's spotless, then when she commands the broom, mop and bucket to clean the place the pieces reappear though not as they were in the first shot.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When the owl and animals arrive dressed as the prince and Aurora stands up, her shroud and basket disappear.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When Maleficent shows up her scepter's handle is either green, orange or brown depending on the shot. Throughout the movie this happens again a couple of times. If the change were due to the colour of the ball on top, the light should also be casting on her clothes and skin.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When the fairies approach the cradle, Fauna puts her right hand on the center part, but a shot later she has moved several centimetres to the left and her hand is away.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: Flora is showing the fairies what changes to make on the dress, but when she points at the book and says "if you change it here" her right finger is missing the book and points at the table. When the shot changes the animation is fixed and her hand is now pointing correctly.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When the movie begins and everyone comes to see Aurora, the ornaments carved on the side of her cradle change between shots: first it's triangles; then the boy arrives and it's leaves; and when the fairies approach there are none. Later on the leaves reappear.
