Trivia: When Sarah enters her "room" at the dump, if you look to the left on a shelf, there's a book of some sort titled "Slashing Machine." The picture on it is almost identical to "The Cleaners" machine which tried to attack Sarah and Hoggle earlier on in the film. (01:08:30)

Continuity mistake: When Sarah shouts, "Quick, this way!" and then Sir Didymus shouts, "No, not that way!" the hanging sign with the hammer hangs crookedly by only one chain. However, two shots later when Sir Didymus shouts, "You're going the wrong way!" the sign hangs properly from two chains. Then later, when the three Samurai Goblins jump in front of Sarah and the rest, the sign's chain is broken once again. (01:20:00 - 01:25:40)

Revealing mistake: In many shots throughout the film it is very obvious when it is a blue screen, plate and/or matte painting shot, by the area around the subjects and/or the subjects' appearance or disappearance onscreen. Some examples can be found with the Fireys and Sarah, during the Chilly Downs scene, and later, when Sarah breaks the glass with the chair, part of her face disappears when she stands with the glass behind her. Continuity mistake: When Sarah leaves Toby's room, just after saying the Goblin wish, you can see two paintings hanging beside Sarah's bedroom door. They have a wooden frame, but when the shot changes, and Sarah walks towards her bedroom door, the paintings have changed, and the frame of the painting is now metal. Then when Sarah enters Toby's room again the paintings have changed back to the wooden framed ones. The bottom picture itself also changes. In the 1st shot there seems to be a bouqet of flowers but when Sarah is outside of the room the picture is of a long bare landscape. Visible crew/equipment: After just entering the labyrinth Sarah and Hoggle are talking. Hoggle says to Sarah "You know your problem? You take too many things for granted." As he says this, behind him you can see the blank, grey stage floor where they forgot to put the rusty gold colored set floor down, which matches the rest of the labyrinth floor. It isn't visible in any of the following or previous shots. (00:17:00)

Continuity mistake: Hoggle wears a small orange jacket, and a brown leather belt (which has many objects attached to it, such as keys, a pipe, etc.,) which is attached to at the top, on the right side of his jacket, which runs diagonally across his body. However when Hoggle says "Me? I wouldn't go either way," the whole top portion of his body is visible, and you can clearly see that the leather belt is not attached at the top of his jacket. It seems to have gone in this shot. However after he says "You know your thing, you take to many things for granted," the belt is now back, reattached to the top of his jacket. (00:16:55)

Continuity mistake: When the goblins are roaming around and sneaking about in Sarah's father's bedroom, in one shot when we see a small, black, furry goblin jump out of the chest which sits at the end of the double-bed, the rocking horse, which sits next to the green chair, by the double doors, has actually disappeared. It's clearly back, once the owl has burst through the doors. (00:11:10)

Continuity mistake: When Sarah is running, just before she reaches the pond Hoggle is peeing in, you get a wide shot of her running. You can see that the Fairy spray beside Hoggle's feet is not there at that point, but appears a few shots later. (00:14:25)

Suggested correction: Top picture: If you look just to the left of the circled goblin's left shoulder, you can see the hand of the other goblin holding the axe in question, clad in green. Lower picture: You can see the handle to the axe still next to the goblin in question's feet, and the blur next to his head must be the axe's top. It's a blur because he must be twisting it as he dances the magic dance.

Continuity mistake: Through the song "Chilly Down," a tree branch is seen, as one of the Fireys hangs on it. This branch is short in close ups, but much longer in wide shots. (00:49:10)

Trivia: In the scene where you get a look at Sarah's bedroom, if you look closely you'll see that many of the objects in her room resemble people or obstacles she meets in the Labyrinth. For example the book ends holding up her books look like Hoggle, she has a toy maze (labyrinth) and the doll in the music box is dressed in the same dress she wears at the ball. The music box also plays the tune of the song that Jareth sings to her at the ball.

Question: Can anyone tell me the significance of Jareth's necklace? Throughout the movie it is silver with a gold center circle. But in his last scene with Sarah after the Escher room, it is reversed- now gold with a silver center circle.

Answer: The necklace is a symbol of Jareth's power throughout the story. All the time that Sarah is in the Labyrinth, Jareth has more power than her, because she doesn't really know what she's doing, and isn't taking one particular path, just getting lucky at the right times. At the end, as we all know, Sarah triumphs, and Jareth's necklace changes to admit his defeat.
