Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) - 29 mistakes
These mistakes are currently being ordered by time. Entries without times will appear at the end.
Other: When the Dwarfs first leave the mine entrance, the first few animation cells seem to have been omitted, so that at first the entrance is empty and then the Dwarfs appear out of thin air.
Continuity: When Snow White falls asleep on three beds, the rabbits sleep on one more and the deer on another, making 5 beds occupied, but when the dwarves come back three more beds of animals wake up making a total of 8 beds. In a previous scene Snow White looks at the 7 beds with names, not 8!
Continuity: The stick that the hag uses to try to push the rock over the cliff to the dwarfs appears out of nowhere between shots.
Continuity: When Snow White cuts of the dough around the pie container, the container has lines all around it. In the next shot, when the birds are putting their footprints on the pie, the lines are all gone.
Continuity: In the dance scene, Dopey stands on top of Sneezy and dances with Snow White. But while he is dancing, there are some shots of him back on the ground, banging on the cymbals and drums again.
Continuity: When Dopey hangs up the key to the store at the mine, the key changes shape. It starts off with the handle wider than long, then, when it is hung up, it changes to longer than wide.
Audio problem: When Grumpy hits his head on the bridge we hear the sound of metal, but the bridge is made of wood.
Continuity: When Snow White first enters the cottage you can see the organ in the background with the pipes higher on the right. But when Grumpy is playing it during the Silly Song the pipes are longer on the left side.
Continuity: When the dwarves see Snow White for the fist time, a green pot and a towel can be seen over the beds. But later in the film, when Snow White says her prayers after the dance, the pot and towel are on the far right of the beds.
Continuity: After the dwarves attack Dopey because they think he is a monster, the items behind Dopey keep changing.
Continuity: When the dwarves see their table in the beginning, some of the dinner utensils are blue. But later, when the dwarves run down for dinner, none of them are blue, they're all white.
Continuity: When the dwarf's first come to their cottage, Dopey slams the door shut. A little later, when they all run out, the door is wide open.
Continuity: The chipmunk, on the back of the deer on which Snow White is putting the dirty clothes, "flickers".
Continuity: From the beginning to the end of the scene where Snow White is making the pie for Grumpy, the items and animals on the table keep changing.
Continuity: During "Whistle While You Work," while the birds are arranging flowers in a pot, an extra flower suddenly appears out of nowhere.
Continuity: When the animals all run away from the cottage because the dwarves are coming home, there are only white sheets over Snow White. However, we later see her with a multi-colored quilt over her too.
Continuity: When the queen is transformed into a hag, there is a big wart on her left hand. This wart later disappears.
Continuity: When the queen comes down to her secret lab to transform herself and to make the poisoned apple, we see a crow perched on a skull. Throughout the scenes in the lab, the skull sometimes has an opening on the top and sometimes doesn't.
Continuity: There are six doves sitting on the wishing well in the start, but at least eight different ones are seen flying away when the prince comes.
