Trivia
When Haru is about to get arrested (right before the ninja dude throws that little ball and takes his place), the stocky and balding cop all they way to the left (or right?) is Kevin Farley, Chris's brother. See more...
Continuity: When the girl is tied up in the room, Haru shoots the big spear-like arrow through the room. When the machine that it's attached to comes through wall, it knocks the bomb off of the table it was sitting on. But, by the time the machine makes it through the other wall into the warehouse the bomb is neatly on the machine and removed from the room that the girl was in.
Continuity: When Chris Farley has Chris Rock drive him around blindfolded they get themselves onto a horse racetrack. While they are driving around the track you can see the tire tracks left by the camera car in front of them.
Continuity: As soon as Chris Farley put the gold coins on the counter to pay for his room, I knew they would be arranged differently in the next shot. And surprise, surprise...
Continuity: When Chris Farley is pretending to be a chef and a fight breaks loose, he throws one of the men into the drum that is hung on the wall. It falls on him, but later in this scene the man is still in the background lying down, but the drum is back up on the wall.
Revealing: When Chris Farley bends down in the temple and rips the back of his black pants and shirt, during one of the "behind" shots of Farley, you can see a pre-cut slit in his shirt, revealing his clothing underneath.
Continuity: The red Chrysler Convertible used in the movie changes. In the "normal" scenes it's the model built in the middle of the nineties, when they shoot at it it's an older one (without a facelift).
Plot hole: Wouldn't the bomb (when in the back of the truck of the bad guy driving away) vaporize him, considering he wasn't that much far apart than Allison was when she was tied up? He is even quoting as "Are you comfortable? Well it doesn't matter considering you'll be vaporized before you know it," when she was about 4 ft away.
Continuity: After Haru deflects the bullets and the bad guy picks up a pipe to hit Haru with, Haru catches it in his hand. He then kicks the bad guy and he falls backward with the pipe in his hands, then it's in Haru's hands, then back in his, and then back in Haru's.
Continuity: When Chris Farley goes into the hotel for the last time, and the man sweeps up his shoes, he has black socks on... but when he enters his hotel room, he is now wearing white socks.
Continuity: There's a scene in the hotel room where Chris Farley is swinging some broadswords. He is holding them (one in each hand) in one shot, and in the next shot shakes Chris Rock's hand.
Revealing: When Haru changes clothes to his pimp outfit in the store, Joey waits outside. If you watch closely while Joey's waiting, you can see the scene "jump", showing that it was two different shots spliced together to give the illusion that Haru changed in a couple of seconds.
Continuity: When Haru holds the binoculars and sees the license plate you see him put the covers in his hands but when the gate moves a few seconds later he opens that hand and they're not there.
Visible crew/equipment: In almost every shot with the red convertible, if you look in the reflection of the wind shield or the side of the car you can see a camera, boom mic or other lighting equipment.
Continuity: When Haru is pretending to be a Chinese cook, he tosses a shrimp which lands between a female customer's breasts, inside her dress. The next shot is of him removing the shrimp with tongs and the shrimp is hanging off her dress on the outside.
Continuity: When Gobe parks the car by the counterfeiting warehouse near the ending, it's parallel with the warehouse's wall. When Haru gets out of the car, the front is pointed toward the wall. Then when Haru is climbing up the palm tree, you can see that the car is further away from the warehouse than it was before.
