Continuity: During the scene in the Jacobs' house when they get out the birthday cake, Sarah takes a plate of cake and begins to hand it to Jack. After she picks up the plate, she picks up a fork, putting it in the same hand as the plate. In the next shot, she hands the same plate to Jack, but there's no fork in her hand. In fact, Jack starts to reach for the fork, only to realize that it isn't there. Sarah hands him a fork a moment later (same shot).

Newsies (1992) - 33 mistakes
These mistakes are currently being ordered by time. Entries without times will appear at the end.
Directed by Kenny Ortega, starring Christian Bale (add more)
Continuity: When they first decide to go on strike, they are walking out of the gate and David has papers in his hand. Later in the scene just before reaching for the statue he no longer has the papers in his hand anymore.
Continuity: The beginning of the "seize the day" scene, there's a shot of the statue, and it's all 'dressed up'. (Paper hat, strike sign, pink necklace, etc.) The camera shot changes, then when you see the statue again in the same scene, it's perfectly clean.
Continuity: When Medda is singing "high times, hard times" with the newsies, she skips down a walk way with Kid Blink and Racetrack. The shot changes to Jack and Sarah, then goes back to Medda singing. But the two boys who lift her onto the higher stage after she was skipping aren't Kid Blink or Racetrack. They're different newsies. And then a few shots later you see Racetrack and Kid Blink somewhere else, singing along.
Continuity: At 1:22:39 David throws the news article on the table but nowhere near Les. At 1:22:41 Les wraps his hotdog with the article that is within arm's length of him.
Audio problem: During the scene where the newsies find out that Jack has turned scabber, Weasel asks David if he'd like a new suit of his own. David yells "Never. I'm not like you." But his mouth isn't moving when he says "I'm not like you."
Revealing: In the scene where Sarah (David's sister) punches one of the Delaney brothers after being harrassed in the alley, she draws back to throw a punch. She first bangs her hand on the brick wall then, after she throws the punch, she punches the other brick wall extremely hard. You can see her bend over whencing in pain and grabbing her hand right before they switch camera views. When they switch camera angles, she's no longer crouched over and she's obviously had time to recover.
Continuity: As Jack Kelly rides the horse near the end of the "Santa Fe" sequence, his hat is waving behind him. When it cuts to a different angle the hat is on his head. Note: This was a specific detail put in by the director, symbolizing the boy's mental transition from New York to Santa Fe. However, it failed and is commonly seen as an editing mistake.
Other: When Pulitzer is reading the headline "Trolley Strike Drags on for Third Week" out loud he uses the magnifying glass to read, but reads faster than he is dragging it.
Factual error: During the big Newsies rally when Medda is singing "High Times", as she is swinging, lighted exit signs can be seen. I don't believe that those were around in 1899.
Continuity: During the opening number, The kid with the brown, hard, top hat (as the boys are at the gate and when the Delancy Brothers are there) messes up the kids hair in fornt of him. When he puts his hat on correctly his hair is hanging down on the right side. Later his hat is off and when the camera switches angles a split second later, the hat returns.
Continuity: At Puliter office "Looking For Ways to Make More Money" there is no note paper on the table. After going through the options Sikes mysteriously picks up a piece of paper and reads it.
Factual error: When Jack Kelly and David go to see Spot, Spot is wearing a jacket with his sleeves rolled up. When he shakes Jack Kelly's hand, you can see the tan line from his watch.
Continuity: While hiding from Schnider in Meddas place,Les is standing next to the guy with a puppet but moments later that same guy is seen moving next to Les to where he should already be.
Continuity: During "Seize the Day" you see all of the banner material is on the left side of the statue then it is gone.
Continuity: Right after Jack and David get back from Brooklyn, the newsies are standing around a statue listening to Jack tell them the results of the visit to Spot. Racetrack is smoking a cigarette. He says, "Maybe we should hold off for a while" (or something to that effect), and then puts the cigarette to his mouth. The shot changes angles and Racetrack's hand is down by his side. There's no way he could have moved that quickly.
Other: In the scene after "King of New York" when they are planning the rally, Kid Blink is in the back and is supposed to be handed a drink, but gets passed by, so he shares the drink for the toast with the Newsie next to him.
Continuity: In "Once and For All" Jack's shirt changes color, between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: When the three boys are leaning up in their chairs in the "King of New York" song, there are hands visible that are pushing the chairs up.
Continuity: During the Santa Fe number, Jack has his rope tied around his waist. As he comes down the street past wagon and hops on horse he does not have the rope anymore.
