After Burt has left to go to the Town Hall, Vicky asks Sarah her name. Then later, Burt comes back to the house. Although Vicky has been abducted, Burt somehow knows the little girl's name is Sarah. [No, she actually asks Sarah her name right after she and Burt find her in the room. Burt even addresses Sarah by her name when asking if she's alone there.]
When we see the beginning of rebellion inside Hansen's Cafe, you can notice through the front window a building across the street with a sign saying something like "Stone Master Products". Three years later, when Burt and Vicky stop by Hansen's Cafe, the buildings that we saw before are nowhere to be seen. It is because the interior shots of the cafe were filmed in a different town. [Or, because three years later, lots of changes can be made to a town. I recently visited a town I lived in for 10 years, and have not been back for 5 years. It has had tons of changes, with restaurants closing and relocating, motorcycle dealerships moving, car dealerships arriving, etc. Some buildings have been torn down and are now vacant lots, waiting for developers to build on them.]
When Burt throws the flaming alcohol bottle at the end of the movie, when it hits the ground, the dirt sets alight and the fire spreads. You can clearly see that flammable liquid has been poured all over the dirt, in order to make the fire burn. [The flammble liquid was the 'gasohol' that he fed through the sprinkler system, with the intent of setting the cornfield on fire.]
