When Maggie talks to Eddie Bo Smith Jr. (the Chicago cop) outside the meeting of "receivers", you can see the cop's breath when he speaks, but not Maggie's. See more...
Trivia
The alley that Katherine Erbe goes down to visit the big, black guy Neal is the same alley that Kiefer Sutherland goes down in Flatliners before he first gets beaten by the hockey stick kid. Kiefer crosses an intersection and gets passed by cyclists right before he goes down the alley. It's shot years apart and the neighborhood has changed a bit, but I assure you (I live nearby), it is the same alley entrance. See more...
Stir of Echoes (1999) - 6 corrections
starring Kevin Bacon (add more)
Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.
In the scene where Maggie and Jake are skipping and hopping down the sidewalk, a truck goes by, if you watch in slow motion/frame by frame, you can see the blurred reflection of the camera, crew, and camera track. [As per the rules of this site, if it cannot be detected at normal speed and if you have to go frame by frame to see it, it's not a mistake.]
When Maggie hits her head, you can see a red line of blood in his forehead. However, in the next shot there is no sign of it at all. [Actually in the next shot she still has blood it's just not in a line it's spread across her head. That's still not a mistake because she probably rubbed the spot where the blood is.]
When Maggie goes to the house to help Kevin Bacon it is dark out, then what seems like not very long they walk outside when the ghost is walking away and it is suddenly light out. [It's still night-time. The street lights allow pretty good visibility, but you can see that it's still the proper time frame.]
Samantha supposedly is trying to leave clues and such so that Tom will find out what really happened to her. But in the scene where his wife, Maggie goes in the basement to light the water heater, Samantha turns the light out. Why exactly? This wasn't a clue for anything, and the least it did was cause Maggie to smack her head on the wall. Also, Tom goes down there later and simply turns the light back on, so what exactly was her reason for turning the light off in the first place? Boredom? [The reason that the ghost of the girl was causing trouble, like turning the light out or making the little boy watch "night of the living dead", was because she was mad that Kevin Bacon wasn't helping her. She was causing trouble to get his attention]
