Continuity: When we first see Carlos getting up at 5am for school, he is sharing a room with his brother. Yet later in the film after he fights with his mum, he goes to bed, and suddenly he has his own room.

Continuity: In the first school scene, Carlos is wearing a flannel shirt unbuttoned with large white stripes on it. After he leaves the classroom to go join Nicole and her friends, he is wearing a darker plaid shirt which is fully buttoned.
Continuity: In the scene where Carlo is sitting at the table and he gets a phone call and he doesn't want to talk to them, he is wearing a blue shirt and when he walks into the hall to use the phone, he is wearing a completely different blue shirt.
Continuity: When Matty picks Nicole up for school she is wearing khaki colored pants then when they arrive at school and the shot is looking into the jeep they are blue and then the pants are khaki again.
Continuity: When Nicole is crying in the driveway after her father tells Carlos to leave and she tells her father to leave her alone, she has her arms wrapped around her head in the closeup, but in the wide shot her hands are down on the ground.
Continuity: When Carlos first meets Nicole at the school and takes a drink of the Gatorade with a kick, you can clearly see them throw the bottle into the bushes. When the teacher comes out he picks up the bottle and it is setting neatly on the bush, obviously not where it had landed.
Continuity: When the Carlos and Nicole are about to have their first kiss, the boy puts his hands around the girl once, they cut to a different angle and he does it again.
Continuity: In that same scene where Nicole and Carlos are having their first kiss in the alley, he puts his left hand up to her face and in the next shot both his hands are around her waist.
Continuity: At the beginning of the movie, the first time Carlos and Nicole are kissing, he is very protective of the crucifix he is wearing. By the end when they are in the motel Carlos is no longer wearing the crucifix.
