Mistake Continuity: Tom Hanks' character is on the yacht talking to his father. Tom is mixing up martinis, he pours them, and he adds an olive to one, and then an olive to the other. The camera cuts away to his father and then cuts back and now the second martini has no olive, so Tom adds an olive again.

Mistake Continuity: Tom hands the little girl a red ring to toss on the bottles and you see a green one land (different colour ring leaves her hand and lands on the bottle).

Mistake Continuity: In the dinner party scene where Meg discovers who Tom really is, they are seen walking around a buffet table filling their plates with food.  The food on Tom's plate changes in quantity and placement of items on the plate from scene to scene.

Mistake Continuity: When Tom Hanks comes to visit Meg Ryan, when she's sick, he brings her flowers. He goes to the kitchen to put the daisies in a vase, and on the table Meg Ryan is sitting at there is a runner neatly laid out. Then when Tom Hanks brings the vase over to the table, and they converse back and forth, the camera zooms out to show the whole room. The runner is suddenly bunched up and neither of them have been on that side of the table.
