Please note: There is NO hanging in the background of the Wizard of Oz. Much like the "ghost" in Three Men and a Baby, it's just plain rubbish. Click here for details.

Mistake Revealing: After Scarecrow bounces off all the fence rails and goes back to do it again, the film is simply being rewound - the fence rails vibrate before the Scarecrow actually hits them. (Deleted scene - which are valid mistakes.)

Mistake Continuity: When Dorothy is holding Toto in the last scene, the dog is facing to the left, but in the very next shot he's suddenly facing to the right.

Mistake Continuity: During the Tin Man dance, Toto switches from one side of the Tin Man to the other side without walking there.

Mistake Plot hole: When Dorothy makes the Scarecrow slip off his pole, his stuffing falls out. "I just keep picking it up and putting it back in again" he remarks. But if he was ALWAYS on the pole, it would not fall out. And even if it DID, he could not, "pick it up and put it back in again".

Mistake Continuity: When Dorothy, Scarecrow, and Tin Man start singing "Lions and tigers and bears. Oh my." they show a close up of Dorothy. She is facing her right in the close-up, but when they show all three, she is facing slightly to her left.

Mistake Continuity: As Zeke starts to put the feed into the trough there isn't any pig near him. In the next shot a large pig is feeding.

Mistake Continuity: When Professor Marvel comes by at the end of the movie Dorothy is holding Aunt Em's hand. In the next shot her hand is on her stomach.

Mistake Continuity: In the shot from behind them, the three look down at the entrance to the Wicked Witch's castle and the Scarecrow picks Toto up in his arms. In the next shot Toto is on a rock barking.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: The wires can be seen behind the Tin Man as he is lifted up in the Haunted Forest.

Mistake Continuity: Dorothy walks around Munchkinland and the large lily pads in the pond change positions between shots several times.

Mistake Continuity: During most of the movie, all the characters have at least three shadows, and when the guy that guards the entrance to the Wizard first goes in to speak with him, he has at least 4 or 5.

Mistake Revealing: When they first meet the Cowardly Lion, he jumps off of a boulder and obviously lands on a trampoline and jumps off.
