Please note: There is NO hanging in the background of the Wizard of Oz. Much like the "ghost" in Three Men and a Baby, it's just plain rubbish. Click here for details.

Mistake Continuity: Outside of Prof. Marvel's trailer the wind is blowing strongly on him, but if you look under and behind the trailer the trees are not moving.

Mistake Continuity: The bows in Dorothy's hair are tied differently throughout the scene with Glinda the witch.

Mistake Revealing: The Scarecrow tells Dorothy to, "just bend the nail down in the back and maybe I'll slip off" but what she actually does is pull a lever.

Mistake Continuity: When they first meet the Tin Man a purple bird with a red beak appears and disappears several times near the house behind them.

Mistake Other: In the poppy field the tin man has hardly any of that artificial snow on him because it won't stick to the metal like real snow.

Mistake Continuity: The basket that the monkey keeps Toto in is falling apart in the front as a piece of wicker can be seen dangling off of it. After Toto runs away the basket has been turned around and the piece of wicker is no longer there.

Mistake Continuity: When the Scarecrow sings, " In trouble or in pain" Dorothy grabs him and is holding her basket with her left hand. In the next shot the basket is on her forearm.

Mistake Continuity: As they stand in the Wizard's balloon, Toto is looking at the Cowardly Lion. In the next shot he's growling at a cat.

Mistake Continuity: When the Scarecrow says, "You see, I can't even scare a crow" Toto is nowhere to be seen. Two seconds later he's sitting in Dorothy's lap.

Mistake Other: After the Wicked Witch throws fire down at them the Scarecrow kicks the stump next to him and it moves several times. The one behind him also moves.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: As Professor Marvel stands at the window looking at Dorothy and his fingers are curled under the sash. If you look closely they are lit up from underneath, but there's no light on their floor.

Mistake Continuity: The mayor of the Munchkin city stands alone on the steps and proclaims, "Let the news be spread…" In the next shot Toto suddenly stands at his left.

Mistake Audio problem: As they all stand at the door to Oz Dorothy reaches for the knocker and we hear the overdubbed knocking sound before she touches it.

Mistake Continuity: As the Cowardly Lion chases him, Toto runs off the Yellow Brick road into the bushes twice.

Mistake Continuity: In the beginning of the movie Dorothy comes running into the farm and there's an old tire hanging from a tree. Two shots later as she walks away from Aunt Em and Uncle Henry the tire has been moved. The angle at which it hangs has been changed and the piece of rope hanging on the bottom of it is now three or four inches closer to dead center than it was before.

Mistake Continuity: Inside the cyclone, looking out the window the wind is blowing left to right. In the room the wind is blowing in the window from the right.

Mistake Audio problem: Dorothy yells, "help, help" as she's chased by the flying monkeys but if you look at her mouth she's yelling, "Oh, Oh".

Mistake Other: As Glinda walks over to meet Dorothy, the bridge is the same but the background behind her changes between shots.

Mistake Continuity: When Glinda walks up the steps to greet Dorothy and the rest the floor can be seen and it's quite dirty. Later when Dorothy taps her heels together the same floor has been cleaned and shined.

Mistake Continuity: As Dorothy walks on the pigsty there are two grown pigs and about eight piglets in there. When she falls in more than 12 grown pigs now appear in the sty.
