Wayne's World (1992) - 27 mistakes

Continuity: During the first Wayne's World show in the movie they bring out a guy with a haircutting machine. The man sits down next to Garth with the hose in front of Garth. The camera angle changes and the hose is now behind Garth.

Continuity: When Benjamin is playing the video for Noah Vanderhoff in his office, Wayne says "...put that thing on your, on your melon," stuttering a bit. However, earlier in the movie during the "live show" he does not stutter.

Continuity: When Ron Paxton begins to demonstrate the Suck Kut on Garth's head, Ron's tie is hanging straight down. When it cuts the tie is bent upward over Ron's wrist.

Continuity: When they find Phil hungover, sitting on a bench outside Powell Camera Shop, it shows a man standing by the window right behind Phil. When it cuts to a close-up of Phil, the man is gone.

Continuity: When they meet officer Koharski outside the donut shop, Both Wayne and Garth slightly lift their left arms. When it cuts their arms are down.

Continuity: When the group are in the diner and Garth notices his "dream girl" stacking plates of pie and cake in the display case, she can be seen placing a plate on an empty tray, then the camera returns to Garth. Moments later the camera is returned to his dream girl and the tray is again empty.

Continuity: When Garth puts his electrical device into his holster, he holds onto the holster with his left hand. When it cuts both his hands are placed on the electrical device.

Factual error: In some of the shots of the band playing, it is very obvious that Cassandra isn't playing her bass correctly. Particularly in the basement performance, where she sometimes doesn't even move her arms at all while singing.

Continuity: During the meeting with Vanderhoff about airing Wayne's World or not, the pen on Russel's file in front of him keeps appearing and disappearing between the shots.

Continuity: Outside the gas station when Garth ask Wayne if he's gonna marry Cassandra, we see Wayne taking off his headphones and lowering his arms. When it cuts his arms are up in shoulder level.

Continuity: When Garth is playing with the drilling machine we see him hitting the car door above the door handle. When it cuts the drilling machine hits below the door handle.

Continuity: When it shows Garth reaching for the Claudia Schiffer poster we see Garth placing his other hand on the couch. When it cuts his hand is on his lap.

Continuity: When Benjamin introduces himself to Wayne and Garth, Benjamin lowers his arm. When it cuts to Russel introducing himself, Benjamin suddenly has his arm up looking at the watch.

Continuity: When Benjamin is talking to Wayne and Garth about giving Vanderhoff a spot on the show in the first scene. On the left side of the end of the table there is a tray of nachos with dip and different kinds of drinks, then in the next scene when Wayne talks to Garth about selling out the nachos with dip are on the right side of the table and the drinks are gone.

Continuity: When Wayne and Garth are on their way to the Alice Cooper concert they show the car from behind you can clearly see that Garth is driving and Wayne is in the passenger seat but when they cut back to the car from inside Wayne is driving and Garth is in the passenger seat.

Factual error: When Wayne and Garth are driving to the Alice Cooper concert in Wisconsin, they pass palm trees while driving the expressway from Chicago. There are no palm trees on any expressway in Illinois or Wisconsin.

Continuity: When Wayne and Garth are driving to the Alice Cooper concert, you see Garth pulling out a string of candy. The length of the candy changes between shots.

Plot hole: When Wayne and Garth are trying to get Mr Big to hear Cassandra's band, they refer to when they spoke to the security guard earlier in the movie. They claim he said Mr Big would be in Chicago on Friday when he actually didn't - he never mentioned a specific day at all and just said he was travelling that way next week.

Continuity: At the end of the movie when everyone is in Wayne's basement, we see Benjamin painfully walk up to Wayne's house for each ending in the dark. When the scene changes to Wayne's basement for the first ending, you can see through the basement window directly behind them that it's broad daylight. This is especially easy to see when the equipment starts to spark.

Continuity: Rob Lowe is introduced to Brian Doyle Murray as Benjamin Kane. In the credits Lowe is billed as Benjamin Oliver.
