Continuity: When Swayze gives the stuttering guy the book, it is a paperback. But later when he's reading it, it's a hardback.

Continuity: Sheriff Dollard did not have time to get out of his car and climb the balcony that he ended up on. Also the area around his car is too clear. He skidded to a stop, which kicked up dust in this dry town. There is no dust visible in this shot of Sheriff Dollard.

Continuity: In a shot from the back of the stage near the end of the production number at the drag queen competition, one near the middle of the shot is carrying a small gold purse that's hanging open. At the end of the number, the purse is closed, even though she hasn't had a chance to close it during the number.

Continuity: When the women are sitting around the kitchen table drinking wine, the bottle changes places. First Carol Ann pours Chi Chi a glass and places the bottle in the middle of the table next to the napkin holder. Later in a front shot of Vida and Carol Ann we see the napkin holder, but no wine bottle. Later, we see that the wine bottle has moved to the edge of the table behind the bottle of glue.

Continuity: When Sheriff Dollard is giving his speech about the drag queens, changes and such, his cruiser is parked right under the balcony. He tells the drag queens to "Come forward now". There is a long shot from behind the woman with the veil, Carol Ann, of Sheriff Dollard on the balcony but the cruiser is suddenly parked in front of next building.

Continuity: When the women are sitting around the kitchen table drinking wine and Chi Chi comes in, they hand her a glass that is half filled. The camera is off of her for a moment and when it goes back, the glass appears to be empty. Then a few seconds later, she picks up the glass to drink and there is a sip's worth still in it.

Continuity: When the sheriff tries to get a kiss from Vida, in the shot from behind the sheriff both of his arms are down by his side, yet in the next shot from behind Vida his left arm is around Vida's neck. Then in the next shot, both arms are at his side again.

Continuity: When Sheriff Dollard is at the bar, Virgil walks in and sits down next to him. A drag queen's shoe is on the bar between the ear piecess of his sunglasses. When viewed from afar the shoe is pushed only half to 3/4 of the way to the lenses. When Virgil picks up the shoe, shoe is almost touching the lenses.

Revealing: When Vida, Noxema and Chi Chi decide on the convertible they pull forward a few feet. The catch their "reflection" in a mirror of some sort. When viewed with great scrutiny we see that in fact this is not a mirror reflecting their image but a camera shot of them that has been reversed. The special effects guy placed the lights around the clip to make it look like a mirror. When seen numerous times we can see the image shake a bit and that the image moves ever so slightly within the light bulb frame.

Continuity: Teleporting drag queen - The drag queens move to line up on stage then the camera pans down the line. Chi Chi is on of the last ones that the camera captures. A split second later in the next shot she/he is on the front of the stage opposite from where she was. She/he did not have enough time to cover that much distance.
