Quotes

Sarah Connor: Keep it under 65. We don't want to be pulled over.

The Terminator: Affirmative.

John Connor: No, no, no, no. You gotta listen to the way people talk. You don't say "affirmative" or some shit like that. You say, "No problemo." If someone comes off to you with an attitude, you say "Eat me." And if you want to shine 'em on it's, "Hasta la vista, baby."

The Terminator: Hasta la vista, baby.

John Connor: Yeah. Or, "Later dickwad." If someone gets upset you say, "Chill out." Or you can do combinations.

The Terminator: "Chill out...dickwad."

John Connor: That's great! See, you're getting it.

The Terminator: No problemo.

Trivia

When the 1000 robot follows them in the helicopter, we can clearly see that he has 3 arms when he is loading his gun with 2 arms and steering with the third. OK, it might be able to generate arms at will, but worth a look... See more...

Mistake Continuity: The T-1000 punches his body through the window of a helicopter to get inside. An instant later, the hole in the windshield is gone.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 is driving the truck, he drives off a bridge and the windshield pops off, but in the next scene the windshield is back.

Mistake Continuity: When the T1000 is chasing John, Sarah and the T800 out of the hospital, the license plate on the cop car changes several times: from 999273 when we first see it to 999232 when it actually stops, then to 999001 after it jumps the grass verge, then from 999013 when it starts going straight, to 999018 when the T-1000 latches onto it.

Mistake Continuity: The scene where John and his buddy hack into the ATM machine and get cash, John is telling his friend his mother is a psycho. Watch closely as John puts on his backpack twice.

Mistake Continuity: If you watch carefully when the T-1000 has driven off the bridge in the truck, you can see the suspension and steering gear collapse and shift (severely) to the driver's right. A moment later, the alignment is perfect.

Mistake Revealing: When the Terminator's arm is caught in the wheel and he rips his own arm off and stands up, if you look closely (slow motion can help, but isn't essential) you can see his real arm stretched behind his back under his leather jacket.

Mistake Revealing: When the Terminator is trying to save John from the T-1000 in the truck, he makes the jump. If you look at his face and hair while he's airborne, you can clearly see it's a stunt double. The Terminator stunt double is also obvious in other shots throughout the film.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where John, Sarah, and The Terminator are in the Cyberdyne building. They have just come down in the lift into the lobby where the SWAT team are waiting and firing gas cylinders. Arnie says his "I'll Be Back" and walks out of the lift. The SWAT team issue various instructions, then say "Ok - drop him!". Now - look carefully. The second they start to fire, look at the SWAT member who is furthest to the left and standing up. If you look right by his shoulder as soon as they start firing, what looks like a crew member walks into the scene, with his hands in his pockets!

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Sarah Connor shoots Dyson in his house, it pans back and forth from him to her.  In each shot of Dyson in his living room, the magazines on the coffee table are scattered, then stacked, then scattered again. Also, if you look at the blood on his shoulder, it is very heavy in one shot and very scarce in the next.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 drives his bike throught the glass of the Cyberdyne Systems building to get onto the helicopter, the windshield falls off. When you see it drop to the ground, it's still attached to the bike.

Mistake Continuity: When the Terminator is riding the Harley chasing Young John Conner, John is down in the reservoir and the Terminator is up on the ledge, as he approaches the end of the wall, through the Terminator's point of view on the bike you see the wall end, it clearly extends to a point, on the very next scene as he makes the jump the point has all of a sudden gone from a point to a squared off edge. Obviously the jump would have been a disaster if the edge was pointed.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the T-800 and the T-1000 have their first shootout in the mall, John Connor begins to run down a series of stairs to get to his dirtbike. Every time he passes a door it reads the level he's currently on. You will see he passes level 2 twice.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Sarah has just shot Dyson and she is crying against the wall, John comes up to her and starts hugging her. Every time the scene changes back to the hugging, look at John's watch. The time changes every time.

Mistake Continuity: During the bar scene, when the Terminator is stabbed in the chest. If you pause the movie just after the rubber knife, you can clearly see that he gets stabbed right exactly above his right nipple. Later on when he goes in the kitchen to get the biker's keys, the cut with blood dripping appears on his ribcage far below the nipple.

Mistake Continuity: Towards the end of the film, when the T-1000 controlled police helicopter bears down on the SWAT truck, Sarah tries to gun it down and the T-1000 returns fire. Look carefully at the shots of the back of the SWAT truck, and notice that the bullet marks made by the T-1000 on the closed door keep changing between shots.

Mistake Revealing: When John Connor and the Terminator are at the payphone calling his step mom, the Terminator punches the phone and puts a massive dent in it and change comes out. If you look at the bottom of the phone before he punches it there is already a dent there. [Pan & Scan version ideally, although you can just see the very top of the dent for a few frames in widescreen]. [ALSO- you can see that the area where Arnie hits the phone is merely plastic, which is unpainted to match the black phone!]

Mistake Continuity: After The Terminator exits the bar in the beginning and takes the gun from the bar owner while advancing towards the owner he takes his left hand off the barrel. From behind though, he's still gripping it.

Mistake Audio problem: In the scene with John and his friend in the garage when his adopted mom is telling him to clean his room and he is revving his dirtbike, if you look closely, he has the throttle wide open, but the motor winds down.

Mistake Revealing: During the scene where the T-1000 is in a truck chasing John Connor on a motorcycle, take a good look at the actual shot of it driving off of the bridge. The street sign is correct, but everything else is backwards! This is because they shot it backwards and flipped the shot during post production. Since the sign was so obvious, it was digitally reversed. However, a good look at the truck's name on the grill will show the shot is backwards.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the Terminator is stood at the broken window of the Cyberdyne building, just after he has shot the police cars with the Gatling gun, he uses a grenade launcher to fire a grenade through the side window of a police car below. Look carefully and you will see a rectangular package, presumably a small charge fitted by the special effects team, on this side window exactly where the window smashes to simulate the grenade smashing the glass a split second before exploding inside the car.

Mistake Continuity: After the T1000 performs the bike jump to the helicopter he tells the pilot to get out. Watch as he jumps out, the door shuts properly, it then cuts back inside where the T1000 proceeds to close the door for a second time.

Mistake Continuity: In the Steel Mill scene, Sara has 8 shells. She shoots the T-1000 once (7 left), then she drops an unused shell (6 left), then reloads (5 left in theory, but there are now 6 on top of the gun). Later she loads the shotgun with the other 5 shells (one's disappeared, but it's back to what there should be) and recocks the gun, ejecting the other good shell. Later, she nearly kills the T-1000 by shooting him with 7 shells.

Mistake Revealing: When the T-1000 is chasing John Connor in the semi-truck, the Terminator emerges and rescues John from the chase. Then, he shoots out the front tires of the semi, causing the T-1000 to lose control and crash the truck. Watch closely as the truck hits the bridge. The T-1000 is not in the driver's seat. Instead, he is replaced with a cheap crash dummy.

Mistake Factual error: There is no place or process in a steel mill where you have a big open pool of liquid steel.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: After the tow truck plunges into the canal and John takes off on his bike, there's a shot starting low on the truck and craning up to windshield-level. You can see a reflection in the truck's paint job, next to the grille, of a large light and a crewmember.

Mistake Revealing: When the Terminator is in the elevator and the T-1000 opens the elevator door with the funny hand things, the Terminator shoots the T-1000 in the head - if you put it in slow motion you can clearly see that the T-1000's head is already split down the middle.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 is entering Dyson's house, he hears on the police radio that Sarah Connor is at "2144 Kramer." Later, just as the police show up at Cyberdyne's offices, the voice over the radio gives the address as "2111 Kramer."

Mistake Audio problem: John Connors bike is an XR-100, it is a 4 stroke engine. In the movie they dub in the sound of a 2 stroke. It is a quiet little engine so that is why they probably dubbed in the sound.

Mistake Factual error: In the final act, when the T1000 falls into the molten steel, he sinks and thrashes around rather like a human in water. However, molten steel has a density of around 8 g/cc - about 10 times that of a human. Immersed in such a fluid, he would sit on the surface and fry. Nothing in the movie gives us the impression he has a huge density approaching that of iron. If he did, he'd weigh about 700 kg and would have collapsed the suspension of the police Harley, been too heavy to fly the police helicopter and collapsed the back end of John Connor's car when he leapt on it.

Mistake Continuity: When the Terminator saves John on his bike in the alleyway and the truck explodes in a ball of flames, the Terminator takes his shotgun out and cocks it to aim at an approaching object. After realising it is a flaming tire, he leaves. However, after stopping to relate his mission to John, the Terminator ejects the fully loaded cartridge (which sounds suspiciously hollow when it hits the ground) and reloads again.

Mistake Revealing: After the T-1000 steals the truck and throws the driver out there is a big action sequence where the truck hits a lot of cars. In one scene the truck hits 2 cars which, if paused, shows that those cars were both parked across the main road front bumper to front bumper blocking the main road in the process, making it impossible for the truck to miss them.

Mistake Revealing: After the T-1000 finishes battering the Terminator with the beam, the Terminator drops to the floor and starts dragging himself. When you see the stump of his left arm move forward then backwards, the string moving the stump is visible.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the T-1000 has copied Janelle and is talking on the phone in her kitchen, there are two plastic water bottles on top of the refrigerator. A moment later after the T-1000 changes back into its policeman form, one of the water bottles has disappeared and the other has moved.

Mistake Continuity: In the shot of the T-800 lifting John off of his bike, the truck's left headlight is missing, but after that it is there.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 is chasing John in the transport truck cab, the sparks always appear before the truck actually hits the walls.

Mistake Continuity: During the chase scene after the T-1000 commandeers the tow truck, the shadows are inconsistent from shot to shot.  Understandable, as each shot was made at different times during the day, but still noticeable.

Mistake Continuity: The tanker truck is shown having two headlight lenses on each side on the front. During most of the chase the inside lamp is lit, but when Arnold shoots it with the grenade launcher the outside lens is lit. The next shot shows the inside lens lit again, but then when Arnold climbs on the hood of the tanker to fire through the windshield the outside lamp is again lit.

Mistake Continuity: As the T-800 is weaving around the back of the semi-truck just before the end of the aqueduct chase, there is a panel of some sort dangling around the back along with the licence plate. From the far shots the licence plate is gone, and the panel is bolted on on. This changes about two times.

Mistake Revealing: In the beginning of the film, when the biker is thrown onto the stove you can clearly see the valves where the steam is coming from - it's NOT from his hands.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Terminator appears for the first time he arrives in a sphere that burns everything in its way, the tires from the trailer are affected by this but the trailer doesn't fall down like it should.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: [Special Edition only] Shortly after the Terminator shoots up the police cars outside Cyberdyne, the SWAT team enters the building through the front glass doors. When the shot changes from outside the building to inside, the camera dolly and cameraman are visible in the reflection on the glass doors and windows.

Mistake Revealing: When Arnold begins to beat up and throw around the workers of the hospital, the African American worker is thrown into a window. If you look carefully you can see that the window he is thrown into is a different kind of glass than the other windows that surround it, indicating that this is not real glass. You can also see that none of the other window frames of glass on the inside of the corridor. There is just the metal frames covering the windows. In some shots later in the scene when the T-1000 is chasing them down the corridor you can see the bits of glass that were left over from before have disappeared.

Mistake Revealing: When the aqueduct chase has finised, and the T-1000 strolls out of the fire, You can see that the semi is hardly burning in the background. Now, considering that the semi has just violently exploded, and the small bridge it just crashed into was nearly flattened, it seems odd that it shouldn't be burning (very tricky to see, best use zoom in).

Mistake Continuity: When John Connor holds the Terminator's jacket up to the light in the shed in Mexico it's full of holes. You see the back of it when they leave (to chase Sarah) and there are no holes.

Mistake Continuity: As the Terminator and the rest are escaping from Cyberdyne Systems in the police van, the helicopter explodes about five feet before it hits the van.

Mistake Revealing: Just before the T-1000 crashes the truck into the bridge and the following shot you can see briefly that it is a dummy in the drivers wheel. The most noticeable difference is the dummy has black hair compared to the T-1000's brown hair.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Camera lights are reflected in the glass door in the shot behind Dyson as Sarah Connor laser-scopes him.

Mistake Continuity: When the SWAT van crashes through Cyberdyne's front doors into the lobby, it comes to rest with the rear doors closed. When Sarah and John Connor enter it, it's in a different position and the rear doors are fully open.

Mistake Continuity: This is during the Special Edition's chip removal scene. There is a point where the shot is of the Terminator's POV. In the foreground a pair of pliers moves vertically through the frame. However, in the "reflection," Sarah Conner is already tinkering with the Terminator's head. Apparently Linda Hamilton (who played Sarah) and her twin sister were out of synch for that shot.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the escape from the hospital where the car is driving fast in reverse, the stunt driver's head is visible sticking up from inside the trunk driving the car from the back. It's too far back to be John Connor's head.

Mistake Revealing: In the bar fight scene the Terminator gets stabbed by one of the bikers - if you put it in slow motion you see the rubber knife bend in a few frames.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the Terminator and John are at the pay phone John picks the gun off the floor, it's cocked when it's in his hand, but as soon as he passes it to the Terminator, it's not cocked any more.

Mistake Continuity: When Sarah runs into the corridor to smack the guy with a broom handle, we see a close-up of him having just emerged from a store-room and turned round, standing right next to the door. There's then a very brief shot of Sarah swinging towards him, then a white flash. When we cut out to a wider shot, he's suddenly in the middle of the corridor, with no time to have moved there.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Arnie is airborne on his cycle in the canal scene, you can faintly see the wires holding up his bike - from just around his shoulders right before he lands to until it switches scenes.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the Terminator has grabbed John and won't let him go until he tells him to, the Terminator almost shoots two guys who come to help. John tells him to put the gun down, which he does. Now, when John picks up the gun to hand it back to the Terminator, it goes from being cocked (the hammer pulled back) when it is in John's hand, to uncocked when Arnie takes it, to cocked again when he puts it in his belt.

Mistake Revealing: Obvious stunt double for John Connor when he takes a wide berth from the street into the aqueduct. His hair, for example, is no longer across his forehead.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the Cyberdyne lobby when the Terminator walks towards the SWAT team, you can see unexploded squibs (pyrotechnics) in the wall behind him to his left (before the shooting starts).

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 is chasing Sarah, John, and the Terminator in the nitrogen truck, just before Arnie fires the first grenade, a blue car comes between them forming a diagonal line across the road (the Terminator, blue car, truck). After a brief close-up on the Terminator shooting, we cut back to a wide shot, the blue car's disappeared, and the truck's now directly behind him, Sarah, and John; not enough time for them to move like that.

Mistake Continuity: In the car chase just before the final encounter in the foundry, the T-800 slams on the SWAT van's brakes and the helicopter slams into it, crushing the choppers front. A second later it is in reasonably good shape.

Mistake Continuity: Throughout the aqueduct chase, the crane on the back of the semi goes from swinging back and forth in an upright position to being bolted down about four times.

Mistake Revealing: When the T-1000 is firing out of the hole in the windshield of the chopper, a close up shot shows that there is clear tape around parts of the window keeping all the little bits of glass together.

Mistake Continuity: During the aqueduct chase the amount of damage to the semi-trailer truck changes repeatedly. Damage to the semi's grille is severe, then is not. This happens about three times.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene immediately after the Truck vs Harley vs Dirtbike chase where John Conner demands that the T-800 pull over for a "time out", as they pull to a stop and start to have a conversation the boom mike is visible reflected in the shiny black mudguard of the Harley's front wheel moving back and forth between the actors as they say their lines.

Mistake Revealing: When the two Terminators first fight in the steel mill, in close - up shots the T-1000 is played by Robert Patrick, but in medium shots it's a stunt double who doesn't resemble Patrick very much at all.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 is chasing John in the black tow truck, after the truck goes off the bridge you can see that the truck has two tall exhaust pipes behind the cab. Then right after the truck hits the 2nd old car it shows a shot from behind the truck and the pipes are suddenly cut off.

Mistake Continuity: Just when Arnie lifts John onto his bike for the first time, you can see Robert Patrick has been replaced by a stunt driver when he crashes into the wall.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-800 grabs the shotgun off the bar keeper,he cocks it (fully), then in the next shot, you see him half-way through cocking it.

Mistake Revealing: After the Terminator's mechanical arm is freed from the cog, his real arm covered with a black sock is visible under his leather jacket. The outline of a wrist watch under the sock is also visible.

Mistake Continuity: When Sarah carves "No Fate" into the desk, the tip of the knife curves toward her, then you see it facing away, then when John grabs it from the desk its tip is back toward him.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the T-000 is chasing John on his motorbike, a wide shot reveals a camera in a protective box on the side of the truck.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where John is helping Arnie up after the T-1000 has been exploded and sent to his doom in the fiery pit of molten steel (Arnie is saying "I need a vacation"), you can see how the effects crew haphazardly put on a fake busted mechanical arm underneath Arnie's coat and how it bulges out from his shoulder. You can almost see how they just tied Arnie's arm back behind his back and put a fake arm over him.

Mistake Continuity: In the bar scene after the biker burns the Terminator's chest with the cigar, it leaves a burn mark. Another biker comes behind him and hits him with a pool cue-the burn mark has disappeared, and then re-appeared in the next frame when he grabs that biker.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 robot has stolen a police-motorbike, you can see this is a highway-bike when approaching the building, but becomes a cross bike when going up the stairs. Easiest way to tell is the engine note and the tread on the front tyre.

Mistake Factual error: There is absolutely no way the Police would send a helicopter to a crime scene with only the pilot on board. He has to fly the helicopter close to buildings, trees, power lines, and he may come under fire or have to manoeuvre out of any one of a number of crisis situations, and fast. He cannot possibly serve as an observer or pass on situation reports as well as controlling his aircraft. The fact that they needed an empty seat for the T-1000 is no excuse; he would have an observer on board with him.

Mistake Continuity: When the T800 is walking down the corridor at Dyson's workplace, how far he is down the hall keeps changing depending on the shot.

Mistake Revealing: When the T800 is driving the police car from the hospital, the outside is a clear projection.

Mistake Audio problem: When Arnold Schwarzenegger is being chased by the truck and and pulls John out of his bike, you can hear John scream but if you look closely he doesn't move his mouth.

Mistake Revealing: When the T-800 and T-1000 first begin to fight in the steel mill, the T-800 puts his fist through the T-1000's head causing him to revert to liquid metal form, then as the T-1000 is throwing the T-800 from side to side you can obviously tell that the T-1000 is just an actor wearing a highly metallic mylar suit in some shots.

Mistake Continuity: During the chase in the beginning, Arnie shoots out the left front tire of the truck causing it to come mostly off the rim; yet when it runs into the divide and explodes, the tire is completely inflated again.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the T-1000 disguised as John's foster mother, stabs Todd (foster father) through the mouth, she is standing at the table facing it. When it transforms back into its default form, it has moved away from the table completely. This is so that it can walk forwards (out of the shot) without having to walk around the table.

Mistake Continuity: The Winchester 1887 lever action shotgun is shown with different levers as the Terminator needs them. When on foot, the lever is of a standard narrow type and when on the bike, it is round (possibly making it easier for Arnold to rotate the gun to reload).

Mistake Continuity: When Sarah is escaping from the hospital there is a scene where the T-1000 walks straight through a metal-barred door. If you look where the doctor is standing you will notice that the T-1000 clearly walks past him after he walks through the door. However, in the next sequence when the T-1000 is shooting his gun, he is way behind him.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Juat after Sarah gets a visit from Reese, she runs down a corridor and ends up outside. If you look carefully at the bottom left as the door opens, there's a guy's arms visible, making sure the door doesn't open too far.

Mistake Continuity: When the Terminator smashes the driver's window of the blue station wagon, there is a large section of glass at the top of the door that is stuck in the runner of the door. In the next shot as the Terminator is closing the door, this same section of glass is now missing. Not enough time has passed in the shots for it to disappear and there's no sound of it dropping.

Mistake Factual error: The truck that the T-1000 uses to try and run down John in the overspill, is a Freightliner FLA 9664, which uses a diesel engine - it does not use petrol. Diesel is much harder to combust in comparison to petrol/gasoline, and the spark from the battery cables on the spilt diesel would absolutely NOT ignite under those circumstances.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the Terminator is catapulted into the factory by the tanker truck, wires are visible holding him up (Slow-mo or pause might help.).

Mistake Revealing: When the truck jumps off the bridge, watch very carefully underneath it and you will see a wooden ramp to help the truck jump.

Mistake Continuity: When the SWAT van flips over you can see the many bullets holes on top of the Van. However a few frames later the bullet holes change from many to just a few.

Mistake Revealing: When the T-800 is being attacked by the SWAT team in the Cyberdyne building, notice that in most of the shots (i.e. when he is being shot in the face, and also when the camera is behind him) Arnie has been replaced by a dummy. When the T-800 pulls out his gun and starts shooting the SWAT team, it's now back to the real Arnie, and notice how none of their bullets are now hitting his face and body, even though shots are still being fired.

Mistake Other: Right after the T-1000 has been terminated and the T-800 is "saying goodbye" you can see the face make-up where you can see his metal endoskeleton bending with facial movement as he speaks.

Mistake Continuity: When the Terminator drives the police van into the Cyberdyne building to rescue Sarah and John, one of the van's mirrors becomes crushed in on the side. Once the van is onto the freeway the mirror is intact again.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-800, Sarah and John are escaping the mental hospital in the elevator the T-1000 stabs through the top and cuts Sarah in the back. Later when are driving away from the hospital in the police car Sarah hugs John. When the camera shows Sarah's back her shirt is torn but the wound itself is gone.

Mistake Factual error: In the desert when the Terminator uncovers the cache of weapons, they are stored underground in rifle racks without any protection at all. Weapons are normally stored covered in grease, wrapped in cloth or paper and in wooden boxes. Buried unprotected (even in the desert), a weapons cache would turn into rusty junk in a couple of months.

Mistake Revealing: Just after the top of the truck's been sheared off, the T-1000 sticks his head back up and pushes the shattered windscreen out. He then steers quite severely right, then left, but given how narrow the area is he's driving down, that would have slammed him into both walls.

Mistake Revealing: Early on in the film, the T-800 sees John riding down the aqueduct. He stops, and a blue car skids and is hit by another on its right side near the rear wheel. As the T-800 sets off in pursuit of the T-1000 and John, a blue car skids and is hit on its left side. Guess what? Its the same car as earlier. You can tell by the massive dent above the rear wheel.

Mistake Character mistake: On the Terminator 2: Extreme DVD edition, at the end of the film, when you access the alternate ending, an aged Sarah Connor is recording her accounts of August 29th, 1997, the date of the initial Judgment Day. She reveals that Judgment Day was averted, and continues to say that on that day, "Michael Jackson turned 40." Jackson was in fact born on August 29th, 1958, and would have turned 39 in 1997, not 40.

Mistake Revealing: When Sarah, John and the Terminator drive through the fence to escape the mental hospital, the T-1000 attached to the back of the car is a dummy.

Mistake Continuity: In the shot where T-800 arrives in the time bubble, the bubble removes a clean cut chunk of the rear end of the truck. If you look at the very center of the wheel that is cut in half, there is part of the axle right at the tip of that wheel which is not cut. Also, even though there is another axle holding it up, the truck would not have remained motionless after losing the air pressure in 2 of the 4 tyres on that corner.

Mistake Continuity: The security guard buys a cup of coffee that has a poker game on it. The guard says he has a full house (three of a kind plus a pair). It is obvious that the cup has two pairs and the card on the bottom does not match either pair.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-1000 walks through the bars at the mental clinic, he gets his handgun stuck in the bars for a few seconds before removing it. In the close-up shot we can see the gun is stuck. But in the wide shot that precedes it, his gun isn't stuck at all. Actor Robert Patrick (T-1000) unconvincingly has his arm wrapped around the bar to make it look like his gun is stuck.

Mistake Continuity: When the tanker truck (liquid nitrogen) is sliding along the ground the sparks can be seen not to be coming from directly under the tanker but ejecting from small canisters slightly higher up the vehicle.

Mistake Continuity: About halfway through the aqueduct chase, the T-800 shoots the semi in its left door. The hole stays there until a little before the end of the chase.

Mistake Continuity: In the desert when John says "bad example", he turns round and his hair has changed. It goes from in his eyes to neat and by the side of his face.

Mistake Continuity: At the Galleria, the T1000 fires rounds into the Terminator's back, but the damage to his jacket disappears when he is thrown through the window. (Director James Cameron said the scripting of this sequence at the time of filming was different.)

Mistake Continuity: Immediately after the Terminator shoots the gate guard at the mental institute, there is blood on the guard shack wall. A few seconds later, the blood has vanished.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the T800 and Conners are leaving the hospital in the car driving backwards, the car jumps off a grassy enbankment and lands hard on the asphalt, knocking the rear bumper loose to a hanging position. A few shots later the bumper is back on snug again.

Mistake Revealing: Toward the end of the aqueduct chase, the T-800 pulls John off the bike and it is crushed by the semi. The camera jerks upward as John is pulled off, and you see that Robert Patrick (John) has been replaced with a stunt double. You can tell that it isn't him by the longer, darker hair and the fact that he has somehow grown by about a few inches.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: After the T-1000, disguised as Janelle, impales Todd, it hangs up the phone and pulls the blade out of Todd's head. As he slumps forward away from the cupboard and drops out of frame, you can see the retracting-blade rig that was attached to the right side of his head, creating the illusion that the blade was pulled through his head. Frame-by-frame helps on this one - it's visible for the last 3 frames before he disappears, just past his chin.

Mistake Continuity: When Sarah Connor hits the guy with the broom handle in a bid to escape, after the first hit, we see a close-up shot of him on the ground clutching his face. In the background we see her swing back and start bringing it down again. We then cut to a wider shot, and she repeats the motion.

Mistake Continuity: The computer that the T-1000 reads in the police car (at the beginning) reads that John is 10 years old and was born in February of 1985. Which means that the movie would have to take place in 1995 (2 years before Judgment Day). Yet Arnold claims in the car, (while driving towards Mexico) that Judgment Day would happen in 3 years, just after the Skynet funding bill is passed by congress.

Mistake Continuity: The gas that the Terminator shoots at the SWAT members while inside the foyer of the Cyberdyne building, is nowhere near the front door when compared to when the Terminator exits the building. The Terminator has to walk through a gas haze as he opens the front door.

Mistake Factual error: When the Terminator is running from the T-1000 and the T-1000 shoots into the Terminator's back he shoots 26 bullets. That's impossible, the gun he is using is a Beretta 9 mm - even if double stacked it is impossible.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: A camera and the lower half of the crew are reflected in the T-1000's sunglasses as it cruises through the fires in front of the Cyberdyne Building.

Mistake Continuity: When the Terminator pulls John off the dirt bike during the drainage ditch chase, the dirt bike falls onto its left side and the gas tank is about to be crushed by the tow truck. The next shot from another angle shows the dirt bike laying on its right side, with the rear tire the first thing to be crushed under the truck.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the Terminator is nude in the biker bar, one biker stabs him. The Terminator then grabs the knife with his left hand and twists the biker's arm. Then the Terminator uses his right hand to hold the biker's arm down on the pool table while still holding on to the knife with his left. Immediately in the next shot, the Terminator right arm is in the air with the knife in his right hand and stabs the biker.

Mistake Continuity: In the hospital scene where Arnie is rescuing Sarah, he throws a black man against a glass wall. In the next shot the man is sliding down the wall and he's now white.

Mistake Continuity: When in the desert after resetting the switch, the Terminator breaks a car window with some glass still there. Camera does an instant cut, and the broken glass has changed.

Mistake Revealing: Special Edition. The biggest giveaway about the false mirror in the 'chip removal' scene is that John's 'reflection' has his back to the mirror when Sarah is drilling, whereas the real John is standing side-on to it. Also notice that John nervously looks at the camera in this shot.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Sarah opens the skin and endo skull of the Terminator, you have a shot where you see the reflection of the Terminator, Sarah and John in the mirror. When the camera takes a shot from the back of the Terminator, you see the back of a puppet on which the real Sarah is performing the operation. In the reflection you see no camera, the real Terminator, and doubles of Sarah and John. Especially the moment Sarah puts down the screw driver, the reflecting screw driver is put down a fraction later than Sarah's.

Mistake Revealing: After the Terminator uses John Connor's switchblade to remove the skin on his forearm, the wires controlling the Terminator's prosthetic arm are visible underneath his shirt, at the top right of his torso.

Mistake Continuity: When the T-800 arrives between the tractor-trailers, you can see a bumper sticker (i.e. "Vehicle makes wide turns") on the back of the trailer when the sparking begins. When Arnie arrives in the bubble it "melts" out the back corner of the trailer, and the sticker is no longer there.

Mistake Other: When the Terminator blows his way into the lab, Dyson stops Sarah from going on, saying "the fire's set off the halon system," referring to the gas which starves the fire of oxygen. However, the subtitles on the DVD say "the fire's set off the halo system."

Mistake Factual error: During the Galleria shootout, Arnold fires seven rounds from his Winchester Model 1887/1901 shotgun without reloading. Winchesters can hold no more than six rounds at a time.
