Continuity: When Bruce is at Dr. Meridians place, Bruce receives a call from Alfred. Bruce moves his finger on the side of the communication device up. The next shot shows him doing it again. (Time)
Directed by Joel Schumacher, starring Chris O'Donnell, Jim Carrey, Tommy Lee Jones, Val Kilmer, Michael Gough
Continuity: When Bruce is at Dr. Meridians place, Bruce receives a call from Alfred. Bruce moves his finger on the side of the communication device up. The next shot shows him doing it again. (Time)
Revealing: When Two-Face crashes Nygma's party, Bruce escapes and slides down a ladder to his waiting car with Alfred. But if you look closely in slo-mo, it looks like Bruce's hands are not touching the ladder as he goes down it (it is as though he is maybe being led down by a wire or something). (Time)
Continuity: While retrieving the safe from the chopper, Batman tells the bank guard to "hang on." The guard holds on to the chain to which the safe is attached. But as the safe comes back into the vault, the bank guard is holding on to one of the tubular structures of the safe itself. (Time)
Continuity: In a childhood flashback, young Bruce Wayne runs away holding his dad's diary. As he falls into a pit, he lets the red book go, but he lands holding on to the diary. (Time)
Continuity: At the end of the movie, as Batman plummets to save Robin, the ropes around Robin's wrists change length! At first they're short and his wrists are within just a few inches of each other, and then the ropes are much longer, long enough in fact to allow him to swing his hands under his feet and above his head with no problem!
Continuity: When Bruce wakes up after getting shot in the head by Two-Face, there is a "BW" (Bruce Wayne) on his pillow next to his left ear. But after Alfred asks, "How are you, young man?", the "BW" is gone. (Time)
Continuity: After causing Two-Face to accidentally blow up a car that had a couple members of his gang in it, with his missile-launcher, Batman speeds by Two-Face with the Batmobile as he is being chased by other members of Two-Face's gang. In one shot the Batmobile is very close to Two-Face, but in the next shot the Batmobile is far away from Two-Face (when he tries to throw his missile-launcher at the Batmobile). (Time)
Continuity: When Bruce has just gotten shot by Two - Face and Riddler has just put the vowel riddle down, the riddle has a short stick with Bruce's head on the top to be a tennis ball. When they're taking Dr. Chase away, the bird's eye shot of Bruce laying shows no stick. Submitted by BigOLB
Continuity: In the scene in which Edward is first testing his "box", watch Ed's left shoulder. He goes to turn off the machine, then says his line "What a rush." The shot cuts to Ed's boss briefly. When the shot cuts back to Ed, his left shoulder strap, which was present in every other shot, is missing. He even reaches to take the strap off as he starts to say "A very surprising side effect." Apparently, he didn't even notice that it had fallen off.
Continuity: In the vault, just before Batman enters, we get a nice shot of the bank guard. He appears to be lying length-wise in the vault, his body flat and straight, and his head laying on the "step" toward the left side of the screen. When the scene cuts to Batman entering the vault, the guard is positioned differently, at much more of an angle, and his head is higher, closer to the second row of boxes from the bottom of the vault.
Continuity: When Dick Grayson grabs Two-Face's bomb in the circus, its timer reads 0:12, but about twenty seconds later in the movie, when Dick throws it away, the timer reads 0:07. (Time)
Revealing: When Dr. Meridian first drops out of the tube, her skirt flies up. However. When she is falling in the shaft, her skirt is down and barely moving. (Time)
Visible crew/equipment: To escape Two-Face's ambush, Batman tilts the batmobile onto its rear wheels, and thanks to the bat-hook, he's able to use the vertical facade of a building as an alternate route. As the batmobile rides up the building, if you look closely you can see what looks to be a wire behind the batmobile (probably helping the batmobile or a model of it travel smoothly up the building or a model of the building). (Time)
Continuity: In the part after The Riddler shows Two-Face the newspaper with the headline "Batman Survives Subway Sabotage," The Riddler pushes a glowing green cylinder into the monkey's mouth and the camera cuts to the screen so they can see Bruce Wayne's brain. When it cuts back to Two-Face and The Riddler, the cylinder isn't there. (Time)
Plot hole: Bruce Wayne didn't really need to suffer through those convoluted riddles to figure out who The Riddler really was. He could have simply asked around to find out who was making hundreds of neon question mark signs and laser beams, and it would have saved him a lot of trouble in the long run.
