Annie: So you're a cop, right?

Jack: That's right.

Annie: Well, I should probably tell you that I'm taking the bus because I had my driver's license revoked.

Jack: What for?

Annie: Speeding.

Trivia

The famous "Dukes of Hazzard" sequence was the filmmakers' wry commentary on the uncompleted state of Interstate 105, which had become a running joke among LA motorists. It was finally (and quite uncoincidentally) completed in late 1993 shortly before the film's release, years behind schedule. See more...

Mistake Continuity: In the scene before they jump the gap, they played the film in fast forward to make the bus appear to be going faster. If you watch the police on the truck in the background, they are moving in fast forward as well.

Mistake Revealing: If you look at the missing part of the bridge, and look at the shadow underneath, the shadow is of a full bridge.

Mistake Continuity: In the beginning, Jack shoots Harry in the left leg, yet later he limps on right leg, then left again.

Mistake Other: When the bus is about to jump the bridge, you can see that the bridge is flat, apart from the broken part, but when the bus jumps over the bridge, there's wood and stuff piled up at the end, making it "kick".

Mistake Revealing: When Jack and Annie are getting off the bus via the access panel on the floor you can see wheels on the bottom of it.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack tries to get on the bus on the highway, he hits the door window and breaks it with his elbow. Later, when he finally catches up with the bus and gets on from the moving car, the door window is intact. Several times later it is visible, no break. Then later, when the bus is on the freeway, the glass is shown broken again, but in a different pattern.

Mistake Continuity: After the first bus explosion when Jack answers the phone, he looks at his watch, which shows 8:05 a.m. If you look closely the watch is on alarm, not regular time.

Mistake Continuity: In one scene where Dennis Hopper is holding the phone with one hand, he very obvious snaps with the other one just a little bit off camera. The hand holding the phone has all of the fingers, but the off-camera one is missing a thumb. How can you snap without a thumb?

Mistake Continuity: When Dennis Hopper psyches the police chief out by making him think he's on the third floor, the elevator clicks one too many times. The camera shows the numbers: "5, click, 4, click" then it switches to the police chief, during which time you hear another click. It then switches back to the numbers: "3, click." Shouldn't it be on floor 2?

Mistake Factual error: When the bus is driving over the gap in the freeway, it jumps off at an angle. And when it lands, it lands close to perfection. If the bus landed at the same angle it jumped off on, the bus would either tip over or the 2 tyres would burst

Mistake Continuity: When they run onto the roof near the start, there's another trooper behind Harry running onto the roof (only visible in widescreen - in 4:3 it looks like a weird reflection). In the following shot of Keanu Reeves you can see the reflections of Harry and the other guy on the plastic covering the scaffolding. We're led to believe that Harry and Jack should be the only ones up there, as everyone else has a job to do. Aside from those two shots, this third trooper disappears once they start hooking the crane up.

Mistake Revealing: After the first bus is blown up, if you look closely there is a truck with a chain pulling the burning bus. (Not really visible on DVD - think it was cleaned up.)

Mistake Continuity: At the airport the black sign on the side of the bus disappears for one shot.

Mistake Audio problem: In the scene when Jack tells the bad guy he wants to get of the bus, he says "it’s not against the rules". The bad guy then says "All right, but I want you back real fast". Look at his mouth while he says the line. You can clearly see that the talking isn't similar to the moving mouth.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the police officers are attempting to rescue all the passengers on the bus while at the airport by driving up beside the bus, at one point you get a front camera angle shot showing the people jumping out of the bus onto the police vehicle. If you look closely, you can see the camera man sitting on his chair reflected in the window of the open bus door.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the bus is turning right off the freeway at the start of the film, one shot shows a camera mounted on the side of the bus.

Mistake Factual error: When Sam opens the door for Jack to get on he pulls the handle the wrong way. On GMC buses if you pull the handle back it opens the back door which activates the rear-interlock and that makes the bus come to a complete stop.

Mistake Character mistake: At the airport, when Jack is under the bus on the trolley being towed by the truck, an accident causes all the cable on the winch reel to pay out. At this point all that's holding the cable to the reel is a small metal clamp. Jack slews around under the bus for a while, in grave danger of being run over by the vehicle's rear wheels, and then the clamp gives way (in slow motion). The now-free cable shoots toward the bus, and Jack pulls himself off the trolley just as it goes under the rear wheel. If you look at the shot where the cable is flying toward the bus, you can see two SWAT guys standing on the back of the truck, on either side of the winch. Their posture is completely relaxed and casual. Considering that for the past several seconds, Jack has been sliding around under the bus, fighting for his life, wouldn't the SWAT guys be much more excited--moving around, trying to get a better look, giving instructions to the truck's driver?

Mistake Revealing: When the train is sliding along the ground near the end, there are sparks coming from the underneath (supposedly where the metal scrapes the pavement). Look more closely, and you can see that the sparks are coming from a bit of the train that's not touching the pavement anywhere.

Mistake Continuity: After Keanu commandeers the civilian's car, breaks off the door and jumps to the bus the civilian loses control and heads for the water barrels in front of the divider. Right before he hits you can already see water all over his windshield.

Mistake Revealing: During the rescue of the elevator passengers at the start of the movie, when coaxing the last woman out, there is a shot of the interior of the elevator where you can see the ground through the hole in the elevator floor, even though the elevator is still meant to be on the 22nd floor.

Mistake Plot hole: If Jack can speed the train up, why does he not try to slow it down? Even if it can't be stopped completely, using the speed lever to reduce it to the minimum possible would be a sensible course of action. There is nothing to suggest he wouldn't be able to do this as he is able to increase the speed without any trouble. If there was something to show that slowing down the train would be unworkable it would make sense, but seems to more serve as a plot device.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: The first bus explodes, and the traffic on the road mysteriously disappears. If you look down the road, there are construction barriers blocking off the entire road, which would not allow any cars to drive through.

Mistake Continuity: Towards the end when Dennis Hopper is on the subway train with Sandra Bullock, he has a gun in one hand and the detonator in the other. However, when the camera cuts to a close-up of him handcuffing Sandra to the pole, both hands are empty. If he took his hand off the detonator, the explosives attached to Sandra should've exploded, but they didn't. In the next shot, both items are back in his hand.

Mistake Factual error: In the scene where Keanu Reeves attempts to stop the subway train, he accelerates the train by pushing the handle forward. In the LA Transit System, the train is stopped by pushing the handle forward.

Mistake Revealing: At the end, when the empty bus rams the freight plane, the wire pulling the bus can be seen.

Mistake Continuity: At the start when Jack is trying to get on the runaway bus, he is seen passing the guy in the convertible Jaguar on the freeway entrance-ramp. He continues to overtake lines of stationary traffic in order to catch the bus, and then pulls alongside it. In the next shot he commandeers the Jaguar so he can use it to get onto the bus; however the Jaguar should still be waiting in the queues some way behind.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: During the scene where the bus takes the really sharp curve it kind of goes over on two wheels - if you look closely, you can see some sort of lift under the bus obviously causing it to tilt so far sideways.

Mistake Continuity: After the bus driver looks at the note "Bomb on Bus" he starts decreasing speed. So Keanu puts the Jaguar beside the bus and tells the bus driver to open the door for him to tell the driver to go at a speed of 50 miles per hour. Just before this you can see a camera shot in which the door is already open. This mistake is easily seen if you watch it in slow motion.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Payne is waiting for the money to be dropped into the bin, he looks through the blinds out onto the street. When he lifts up the blind with his 'bad' hand, you can see his fingers and thumb taped up out of the way.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Jack and Annie escape from beneath the bus via a trap door, the shot of them skidding across the runway shows a ring on Jack's left hand as it is wrapped around Annie. Jack is not married in the movie, but his stunt double must be.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Jack is taking off the handcuffs of the guy who shot Sam, you can see the top of a bald crew member's head with headphones on behind them.

Mistake Revealing: Just after the police close the roads in front of the news crews and the black police chopper lands in the road. There is a scene where the bus passes under a flyover with a police escort but the police car in front of the bus nearly stops, making the bus brake hard and nearly stop, bringing it well below 50 mph.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the bus is exiting the highway on that sharp curve there's a medium shot showing the bus from the driver side. Look closely at the driver, it's either a really ugly woman or that's a man in a wig driving the bus.

Mistake Factual error: When the terrorist's first target, the elevator, first has its cables blown, it goes into free-fall for about 7 floors before the brakes kick in. That is about a 100 foot free fall, and not one person even falls down afterward. Are we to believe that around 5 seconds of negative G does not even result in a single person ending up on their rear?

Mistake Continuity: When Jack and Mac are on the back of a truck with the red cart tied to the back of it, when Annie says "I have no idea", Jack and Mac both have their backs against the truck facing the camera, but in the following shot they are facing each other.

Mistake Continuity: When Annie drives onto the shoulder, after Jack has come out from investigating the bomb underneath, the bus crashes into a car on a tow truck. In the first shot the tow truck is well inside the white line on the road and it looks like it's half on the grass as well. In the following shot when the bus hits the car, the tow truck has moved to its left and is now on the white line on the road.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack is in "Tuneman's" car, driving alongside the bus, when Jack holds his badge up to the driver, he is holding it at the top, but in the following shot he is now holding it at the bottom.

Mistake Continuity: At the beginning, when the employees are getting into the elevator, there is a close view of the man at the front pushing the button with his finger, but when it cuts to a wider shot, he is taking his thumb away from the button, instead of his finger.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack and Harry are on the top of the building at the start, Jack climbs up a ladder and proceeds to walk along to the crane. In one shot he moves the big gun round to his back, and in the following shot the big gun is still in front of him.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Jack and Annie escape from the bus after they have gotten all the passengers off, when Annie is tying up the wheel, if you look closely, you can see that the gas gauge is at about 3/4 full. Isn't the gas tank supposed to be almost empty?

Mistake Audio problem: When Jack and Harry are running down the stairs to get to the elevator Harry radios his lieutenant and says "Mac we need more help up here now.", yet his mouth does not appear to be saying these words when it is visible.

Mistake Revealing: When Harry and Jack arrive at the building at the start in the police car, you can see the tire skidmarks on the road from previous takes.

Mistake Character mistake: When Jack introduces Annie to his boss after the explosion at the airport he names him'Leiutenant McMahon' but when the credits come up at the end of the film he is named as Captain McMahon

Mistake Continuity: After Jack shoots Harry in the leg, Denis Hopper runs out the door which is wide open. The explosion shot (seconds later) happens and we see the door completely shut.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the bus jumps the gap in the freeway, as the bus lands, the interior camera jerks down and we clearly see the cameraman's brown shoes.

Mistake Continuity: When the LAPD are making the money drop, one shot from Dennis Hopper's apartment shows a businessman walking past the garbage can with a silver briefcase (just as the garbage man comes), and the same man with the silver briefcase walks past about a minute later in another shot when Keanu Reeves is running towards the bin.

Mistake Continuity: When Annie is running for the bus, she passes notice boards as such, yet when it cuts to a side shot of Annie at the door to the bus, the massive notice boards have suddenly disappeared and all it is now is bushes and gardens.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Jack gets off the bus, before he gets the phone call from Payne, the back door of the bus is open. After convincing Payne that he has to get off, he goes to the back doors and pushes them open to get off the bus.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack and Annie arrive in the ambulance, as Jack leaves the ambulance he closes the side door. However, when Annie gets bored and gets up to leave the ambulance via the same exit that Jack did earlier, that door is now open.

Mistake Continuity: The bus hits many cars in the movie, yet there is virtually no damage sustained by the bus throughout.

Mistake Revealing: As the bus makes the impossible right turn at high speed, you can see the outrigger wheels underneath to stop the bus going over.

Mistake Factual error: The bomber demanded his money by 11 a.m., so the sun should be high in the sky toward the end of the bus situation. However, in many shots at the airport, there are long shadows, indicating either sunrise or sunset.

Mistake Audio problem: When Annie asks Jack what the plan is, he says something like, "Stay above 50," and we hear Annie reply, "Nice plan," but her lips don't move.

Mistake Continuity: Jeff Daniels' character gets shot in the thigh by his partner. Later, when he gets his award, it is the opposite leg that has a cast on it.

Mistake Other: During the scene where Jack and Annie escape from the bus using the hatch door on the bus floor, they lay on it sideways holding on to each other. If you had a chance to look at the bus from various other camera shots during the film the gap between the undercarriage and the runway was too small for them to do this, the rear bumper also seems to hang lower.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Howard Payne calls Jack in the bus and is saying he wants his money, etc, at the start of the next scene the bus can be seen with not only its front doors open, but the back doors open. A crewman is standing in the doorway of the backdoor, and it can't be Jack because when it cuts to him inside the bus he is standing next to Annie and he is telling her he is getting off the bus.

Mistake Continuity: When Howard Payne is in the elevator, he hears Jack and Harry doing something from above, and he reaches for his bomb trigger. In slow motion when he's picking it up, it has two buttons on it, yet when Howard pushes one of the buttons, the device now has three.

Mistake Continuity: At the beginning of the movie after Jack has hooked up the crane from outside to the lift, there is a shot of the crane outside, and the line going through the vent. If you look closely there is a pipe in front of the vent, yet when the crane goes through the vent, the pipe has vanished.

Mistake Continuity: At the very start of the movie, in the basement, you see a security officer walk past some numbered steel pillows, he walks past the pillow numbered "15" twice.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Close to the beginning of the film we see Jack in a coffee shop and his friend walks in. When they both leave and Jack goes to his car, a cameraman is reflected in the car window after the palm tree. Use slow motion if necessary.

Mistake Continuity: Just before the first bus explodes, Jack leaves the cafe and puts his coffee cup onto the top of his car. When he runs back to his car, the coffee cup is different as well as in a different position.

Mistake Revealing: After Jack has taken command of "Tuneman"s car, in the wide shots of them chasing the bus you can tell it's not Keanu Reeves driving. The stunt driver has slightly longer hair in a more squared crew cut.

Mistake Continuity: When Annie hits her head after jumping the gap on the road you can see a cut. The cut changes shape throughout the whole movie.

Mistake Continuity: When the subway carriage bursts out into the street, Annie's handcuffs slide off the broken pole and in slow motion you can see the pole is shorter than all others. Besides, all the other poles in the carriage are intact.

Mistake Continuity: When Harry is talking to a police woman at the station, about going through the police files, the woman's bangs are messed up. When the camera pans back to her, every hair is in place.

Mistake Continuity: When Annie swerves to avoid the schoolteacher and the kids, in the previous shot of the kids and the schoolteacher, they have already stepped out onto the road and are crossing, yet when the camera cuts to a view looking out the bus the schoolteacher and the kids are just stepping off the curb and walking across.

Mistake Revealing: When Howard Payne's house explodes, a wire is visible as it pulls back one of the police officers who gets "blown back" by the explosion.

Mistake Continuity: Just after the bus driver has been unloaded and Helen tries to get off, Annie shouts "No Helen" at which point Jack turns around and grabs her shoulder to stop her. The shot switches to Dennis Hopper watching TV and then back to the bus where Jack is no longer even close to Helen when the bomb detonates.

Mistake Continuity: When Keanu and Jeff are on their way to the building at the start of the film, their car flies over a hill and lands back on the road. The right hand front wheel takes a really nasty knock as it lands and looks ready to come off, and yet in the next shot they arrive safely with no apparent difficulty driving the car.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Jack is running beside the bus and breaks the window to get the drivers attention, you can see a reflection in the window of the bus of a cameraman running. In the next scene where the bus pulls ahead, the reflection of the camera is larger and more noticable.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Aside from the mysterious other trooper(s) reflected in the tarpaulin on the roof near the start, as Keanu Reeves runs past it, you can see the clear silhouette and red light of a cameraman filming the scene.

Mistake Continuity: In the shots before the bus blows up the Pacific Courier Freight plane, you can see that the vehicle towing it and the plane itself are no longer moving, as opposed to a couple of shots before this where the tow vehicle and plane are moving at a good pace. You also can no longer see the man who is supposed to be driving the tow vehicle (who might have run for it, but there's minimal time).

Mistake Revealing: In the scene right before the bus blows up the "Pacific Courier Freight" plane being towed, you can see the cables on the ground leading towards and underneath the plane, which are used to keep the bus going in a straight path. These cables are also visible in some previous shots before the plane blows up, most notably before the first view of the bomb's speed indicator showing it counting down the speed. If you go frame-by-frame on the close-up of the plane actually blowing up, you can see where it is physically attached to the bus, just behind the front bumper.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the Pacific Courier Freight plane gets blown up, you can see that it is being towed alongside another plane, and some people standing/walking around next to it. In the next shot, where we see the camera moving closer and closer to the plane from the bus's perspective, the runway the plane was just being towed on is gone, as is the plane it was going past a moment ago along with the people. There was no time between shots for the plane to have been moved so far away.

Mistake Continuity: Traven shoots Harry in the leg, and Harry is slumped against the wall next to the doorway. When Payne sets off the bomb, Harry is now no longer near the door, and is halfway down the corridor. Not enough time had passed between shots for this to have occurred.

Mistake Plot hole: When they get Sam the driver off the bus and onto the trailer, it's stressed how important it is to get him to hospital, but in all subsequent scenes, the trailer never leaves the side of the bus and no-one takes Sam off.

Mistake Continuity: Traven drives at high speed down the hard shoulder of the freeway to get to the bus to avoid the big traffic jam. When Traven cannot get on the bus, the black Jaguar XJS is now close at hand, which would have been impossible - it was way back in the traffic and couldn't have got to him that quickly.

Mistake Other: As Traven is about to slide under the bus on the small trolley, you can see his feet are only just going to get under the bus. Cut to a camera shot from the side, and now the front of the bus is significantly higher.

Mistake Continuity: In a camera shot from behind the bus, it shows Traven moving the Jaguar in front of the bus. In the next camera shot from the front, it shows Traven moving the Jaguar again in front of the bus. He'd already completed the move in the previous shot.

Mistake Revealing: When Traven is walking back to his car before the first bus explodes, as the bus drives past him, you can see from the shadow it casts that the bus isn't driving straight on. It turns the corner behind his car. Obviously a prop bus is further down the street and that is the one that blows up in its place.

Mistake Continuity: The bus hits a car and wrecks the driver's side indicator. Later on however, the indicator is fixed.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In several shots of Tuneman in the Jaguar, you can see camera lights reflected in his sunglasses.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: After Traven hits the glass door of the bus whilst trying to get on, it then cuts to his point of view, and in the glass you can see the reflection of a cameraman with a baseball cap on.

Mistake Audio problem: When the first bus blows up (the one that Bob was driving) you can hear the explosion before the bus actually blows up.

Mistake Factual error: When the bus jumps the gap in the freeway, the front wheels rise into the air while the rear wheels are still in contact with the roadway (that has a very slight upward slope). Since its trajectory is fairly flat in the movie (unlike the ramp used to actually film the stunt), the front of the bus would fall well short of the other side. Further, the impact of landing would render the bus unable to move (which is exactly what happened to the bus used to film the stunt).

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Sam is shot in the shoulder it shows a camera shot from the side of the bus going into a wall. In this camera shot you can see the shadow of the camera.

Mistake Factual error: When Payne blows the safety catch on the elevator it shows a shot of the floor level indicator going down from 29 to 25 in about 3 seconds. The camera cuts to inside for 5 seconds then the cable stopping the lift. This has taken approximately 8-10 seconds in total, but they are only on the 22 floor now. By the rate of which they were falling they should be on at least the 13th floor. Not taking into account that it would be accelerating as it goes down.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack slows down to break the door of the car, he comes to a complete stop but the very next shot, he is back at normal speed.

Mistake Continuity: When the bus hits the back of the car on the tow truck, it appears that the hit is hard enough to launch the car up the ramp and over the front of the truck, but there is no damage to the front of the bus.

Mistake Continuity: After the bus has left the freeway and enters the city for the first time, there is a scene where Annie is driving the wrong way down a street and Jack can be seen standing right next to her. She pulls the bus onto the right side of the road and Jack puts the cell phone to his ear. In the next shot, he repeats the same action.

Mistake Continuity: At the end of the film, the train flies off the track, through a wood-framed tunnel under construction, and then onto a city street. During the credits, as the shot is pulled back, there is no destroyed wood-framed tunnel. In fact, traffic is flowing normally in the background.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Jack is talking to Howard from the pay-phone, you can see the boom microphone's reflection in the phone in several shots.

Mistake Revealing: When Jack is fighting Dennis Hopper on the roof of the subway train, a peice of paper falls off one of them and then stays surprisingly still considering they're on a speeding subway train.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Jack has come back into the bus from being underneath it, he is talking to Annie about losing gas, if you watch closely he says "Mac" without pressing his button to call him first, then in another shot you see him press it when he starts talking to Mac.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Annie gets told by Jack to turn into the airport, she does so, and, if you watch closely, when she runs over the spikes, the back tire is seen to have run over one of the spikes. But if you slow it down, there is something in the next spike along causing the huge burst of dust and air. This can be seen if you use frame by frame.

Mistake Factual error: If you look at the loop Keanu hooks the crane onto on top of the lift you can see that it and its bracket have been recently welded on (by the black residue it leaves), obviously because the lift itself didn't have such a loop. Even if such a feature existed, it wouldn't be simply spot welded on the top as this one is, it would need to be part of the lift's structure if it were to serve any purpose in supporting it in an emergency.

Mistake Continuity: In the first part of the movie, it appears that the building is approximately 53 floors high, we can see this as when Keanu Reeves and Jeff Daniels go to the roof the label on the door is "ROOF/53". However, the service elevator seems to reach the top of the shaft after Dennis Hopper enters level 46 on the control panel. This is rather unfortunate, especially as the security console says that the elevator "serves floors GE-52". I wouldn't like to be in the elevator as it tries to go past level 46 to a higher floor such as 52.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the bus is jumping the gap in the bridge, if you look closely in one shot, Sandra Bullock is not driving. Instead it's a large man that appears to be wearing women's attire.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack is running across the street in downtown Los Angeles, in two different camera shots two different red cars are shown stopped in the same place to let him cross the street.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack is chasing the bus on the freeway in the Jaguar, an overhead shot is shown of the bus with three cars around it, but in the next shot of the traffic, the road is full of traffic which is surrounding the bus, which is highlighted by Jack having to to swerve around the cars.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: The side camera is visible when the bus has to make the tight right turn. After the bus returns all the wheels to the ground and before it smashes into the cop car, you can see the side camera.

Mistake Continuity: When Dennis Hopper's shooting the shotgun through the lift roof, the number of holes doesn't match the number of blasts. He shoots once and a hole appears. We then see a close up of him and he shoots twice more, but when we cut to the ceiling after the third shot overall, there are only two holes in it. Doesn't seem likely he'd miss the roof at a range of 2 feet.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Jack drives the car backwards so he can tear off the door, enabling him into the bus, he slams into a silver car. The very next shot, maybe two seconds later, there is another car driving behind him like nothing happened.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Jack is fighting Dennis Hopper on the roof of the subway train we see Jack lying on the top of the train getting punched by Dennis. We briefly cut away, and then back to Jack and the corrugations on the train roof have rotated through ninety degrees.

Mistake Continuity: Near the end of the film when Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper are wrestling on top of the subway, if you watch Keanu's left wrist you notice he is wearing a watch. Yet throughout the scene it is obvious that the stunt double has no watch, because in the extreme action scenes, there are no signs of it anywhere on his wrist.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack and Harry are pulling people out of the elevator there are two men offering to help the stubborn lady out of the elevator. 2 seconds later there is only one man jumping to get out.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where the plane is blown up at LAX, the intact plane is shown with no mountains in the background. However, the scene showing an exploding plane has a backdrop of desert mountains, presumably Antelope Valley California.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack is on the bus and is coming up to the construction site, if you look out of the bus to the left the scenery changes, from having grass on the left before the construction site, to having dirt between shots.

Mistake Continuity: When the bus jumps over the gap in the freeway, when they take off, Jack shields Annie with his own body, but when it shows an exterior shot of the bus when they have landed, Jack is gone, then he comes back again in a different shot.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene in the subway Denis Hopper has again used an explosive jacket like that used at the start of the film, which is detonated if the remote trigger is released. However when on the subway train, Denis takes the remote back from Sandra Bullock and it is seen that the trigger is quite obviously released and Denis pushes it back in.

Mistake Continuity: When Jack has caught up to the bus on the freeway then asks the driver to open up, the driver starts driving off, and Jack tries to catch it but fails. When he is standing on the freeway, look behind him, the red car with its passenger window down is driving past him, but in the following shot the red car is there again swerving to avoid him.

Mistake Continuity: When Howard Payne gets off the elevator with Harry held hostage, Jack walks off the elevator and there is a light on the wall that Jack passes twice and/or turns the small corner twice.

Mistake Audio problem: When Jack is under the bus trying to diffuse the bomb and the piece of rubber hits him he says "F*ck Me" but his lips don't move.

Mistake Continuity: When Keanu Reeves is on the payphone with Dennis Hopper, his lips appear increasingly redder throughout the scene.

Mistake Revealing: The Boeing 707 freighter that gets blown up by the bus bomb is obviously a "scrapped" plane (A plane that has lived out it's usefulness and is being readied to be scrapped). One good way of telling this is the plane's exterior shows heavy weathering wear from being stored a long time. But someone told me the way it looks could also be a hasty paint job using ordinary house paint. Either way, still something to look for.
