Logan

Factual error: After the Oklahoma City casino incident, it shows a brief scene where Pierce picks up Dr. Rice. The sign in the background says "Ada 15, Oklahoma City 90" on Highway 81. That highway in Oklahoma is, in fact, a real road but it is no where near Ada. The closest area that is 90 miles from OKC would be around Duncan, which is well over 50 miles from Ada. (01:06:20)

Factual error: Logan and Laura emerge from an urgent-care clinic in a small town, presumably somewhere in the Great Plains or eastern Rockies. Shortly after they emerge from this clinic, a Louisiana state highway sign is visible in the background. As the scene ends, the camera pulls back to show mountains in the background, indicating that they aren't in Louisiana.

Factual error: The climax of the movie is set near the US-Canadian border. However, the landscape is very arid and desert like, similar to the Southwestern US. No such landscapes exist anywhere near the border with Canada.

Factual error: When Logan and Laura are driving towards Canada, they are supposed to be somewhere in Oklahoma. However, there is a shot of a mountain range in the background. Those are the Sandia Mountains, which are in New Mexico.

Trivia: It was comedian Jerry Seinfeld of all people that gave Hugh Jackman the idea to retire from the role of Wolverine. Jackman was attending a diner party with Seinfeld and asked him how he knew when it was time to end his legendary sitcom. Seinfeld told him "You need to leave something in the tank. If you feel like, 'OK, I think we might have said everything but there is still a little bit left, ' then that's the time to go." Jackman took it to heart and decided to go out on a high note and make the best film he possibly could to end his tenure as Wolverine, and considers "Logan" to be the most personal of all of his portrayals of the character.

Question: This question and answer may contain spoilers. The film made it seem like once the mutant children cross the Canadian border, they would be safe. Dr. Rice (I believe it was him) even says they (the Reavers) need to hurry or they'll lose the children if they cross. My question is why? Did I miss something? Who was suppose to meet the children in Canada? Or is Dr. Rice saying they can't follow the children into Canada, and if so, why not? Alkali Lake was in Canada and it doesn't seem they have any regards for laws and borders. And surely if the children were that valuable, or the need to destroy them so important, why would Dr. Rice not send his army of Reavers to battle whoever was helping the children?

Chosen answer: It is subtly shown that Rice has a deal with the US government to conduct his business without conflict, something he won't have in Canada. There is also a strong theory that the people helping the children is Department H. The Canadian organization that started the super team, Alpha Flight.
