Continuity: Wendy walks into Mr. Ullman's office and the tree against the right wall is not the same one we saw there earlier in the movie when Jack had his interview. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Looking for his fire engine, Danny walks into the apartment as Jack sits on the bed and we can see the blue oval wall picture that hangs above their headboard. In the next shot of him sitting with Danny the picture is gone only to reappear later. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Jack sits on the side of the bed as Danny comes into the apartment to get his fire engine and a chair with a blue cushion on it is on the right of the screen in front of the radiator. This chair is in some shots and not in others and when Jack walks into the apartment with the axe there's a different chair in that spot. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As Wendy runs to Jack while he's having his nightmare the top of the typewriter carriage is extended all the way to the right. No one went near it but later in this scene Danny walks into the room and the typewriter has been retracted to its center position. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Wendy runs from the boiler room through the kitchen into The Colorado Lounge as she hears Jack screaming from the nightmare he's having. We distinctly see her pass two vending machines on her right but when we saw this spot before as Danny took his trike ride near the beginning of the movie, there were three vending machines across from the staircase. Continuity: As he screams from his nightmare, Jack is slumped at his desk and there's one box of paper to the right of the typewriter. In the next shot as Wendy runs in and wakes him another box appears right next to the ash tray on the left of the typewriter. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Wendy runs through the hallway of the kitchen's pantry as she looks for Danny and the movable shelves on the left have been straightened up and pushed against the wall. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Looking straight out of the front door of their apartment at the end of the hall is an exit lamp. It's shining brightly as Wendy brings Jack his breakfast but then it's blown out when Jack returns from looking for the old women in room 237. Then when Jack says his famous line, "Wendy I'm home" it's been repaired. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Lloyd asks Jack what he wants from the bar and he replies, "The hair of the dog that bit me" as two women walk by behind him. In the next shot the reflections of these two women do not appear in the mirror, and this isn't because they're ghosts as the reflections of other actors at the party do appear in the mirror as they walk by. Continuity: As Wendy and Jack talk about Danny there's a lamp on the left side of their bed. No one goes near it but as he storms out a few shots later, the lamp has disappeared. Submitted by ????

Continuity: During Mr. Ullman's tour we see a shot of their apartment door as they all walk in and there's no overhead light. After coming back from looking for the women in room 237 there's now a ceiling lamp in the hallway. Submitted by ????

Continuity: When he calls his friend Larry at Durkin's garage, Dick Hallorann has his blue scarf draped down in front of his jacket. He doesn't move his left hand from the phone or his right hand from his pocket, but his scarf is tucked under his coat behind his right hand in subsequent shots. Submitted by ????

Continuity: At the end of the movie Danny runs into the hedge maze entrance and the Overlook is missing on the left of the shot. It's there earlier in the movie during Mr. Ullman's tour when we see the exact same spot. There is no blinding snowstorm and as we see in the map and on the miniature of the hedge maze there's only one entrance. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As they talk about room 237, Wendy and Jack sit on their bed and he says, "You mean just, leave the hotel?" and a red magazine is on top of the pile under the nightstand. In the next shot of Wendy sitting alone crying, the magazine is gone. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As he chases Danny through the kitchen Jack walks right past the entrance to the storeroom where he was locked up earlier in the movie, and we see a large pot sitting on top of a three tier black metal shelf. After she locks him in the storeroom, Wendy was sitting in this exact spot and if you look behind her there's no black metal shelf with a pot on it. Submitted by ????

Continuity: After Wendy locks him in the storeroom Jack plows into some boxes as he runs for the door. When he gets up off the floor we're able to see the bottom of his shoes and the right one does not have the same black wad of gum stuck to it as it had earlier after Wendy hits him with the bat and he lays motionless at the bottom of the stairs. Continuity: Jack takes only one swing at Dick Hallorann and we can see that there's not much blood on his coat as he goes down. A couple of seconds later as Jack walks away there's a lot of blood all over the place, especially above the wound where it shouldn't be. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Near the end of the movie Danny hides from Jack in a metal kitchen cabinet. If you look at the right of the screen he runs past a clock that reads 5:15. Later when Jack runs in with the ax and Danny escapes the clock now reads 5:26. The problem is only four minutes of uninterrupted movie time have passed by whereas the clock shows 11 minutes of time has elapsed. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As Dick Halloran pulls up in the Snowcat the tree line to the right of the garage behind the large pile of pipes is not the same as we saw earlier in the movie when Danny and Wendy run out to explore the hedge maze. Submitted by ????

Continuity: There's a pine tree on the side of the building to the left of the garage. At first during Mr. Ullman's tour it was tall and slender, now as Dick Halloran drives past in the Snowcat that tree has been removed and the new one resembles a perfect Christmas tree. Submitted by ????
