Continuity: When Wendy first goes out to the Snow Cap she passes 1 lamppost on her left and when Dick Halloran pulls up he doesn't' even pass the lamppost on his left. . Later when Danny is hiding behind the Snow Cat we see 2 illuminated lampposts behind him (also when they turn the Snow Cat around). I know Mr. Kubric wanted to light the scene better but it's still a mistake.

Continuity: After Danny writes "Redrum" on the bathroom door we see the red lipstick in his right hand extending about one half an inch out of it's case. After Wendy wakes up and sees "Redrum" reflecting in the mirror we see the lipstick again and it's ground down flush with the metal. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Jack breaks down the front door of the apartment and an overhead lamp appears above his head that wasn't there earlier in the movie during Mr. Ullman's tour. Submitted by ????
Continuity: When Jack talks to Lloyd the bartender for the first time we see a glass ash tray next to Lloyd's left hand as he puts them down on the bar. The only time he moves is to get Jack's drink yet the ashtray disappears a few shots later. Submitted by ????
Continuity: As Larry at the garage speaks to Dick Hallorann at Stapleton Airport the blue and red rotor box rotates on Larry desk without him going near it. Submitted by ????
Continuity: In the first overhead shot of Danny sitting on the carpet playing with his toys we see nothing except the carpet, which extends three sections to the left and right of him. In the next shot a tan ceramic ashtray appears in front of the elevators less than two carpet sections to his left. Submitted by ????
Continuity: When Danny looks at the two girls at the beginning of the movie, the chairs around the card table closest to him move between shots. Submitted by ????
Continuity: After he turns the lights on Jack walks into The Gold Room and we see a standard phone against the wall near the light switch. When we saw this spot earlier in the movie during Mr. Ullman's tour there was a princess phone there. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Wendy passes a wooden statue on her right just before she turns the corner in the back of the lobby and sees Dick Halloran's body lying on the floor. In the next shot we see a close-up of her and the statue is gone. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Wendy looks at Dick Hallorann's body lying on the floor and we can make out some of the pictures on the wall behind the entrance to The Gold Room and they're not the same ones that we see there at the end of the movie as the camera zooms in for the final shot. Continuity: After Wendy looks at Jack's page in the typewriter she moves to her left and looks at the rest of his novel in the white box. If you look closely the top sheet is white but then in the next shot as she picks it up the top page is yellow. Submitted by ????
Continuity: As he speaks to Wendy, Jack pulls the piece of paper out of the typewriter and a new sheet appears in the typewriter between shots without it being touched. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Wendy walks in as Jack types in The Colorado Lounge and we see an orange lamp on his desk. This lamp is one of two lamps that were on tables in front of the desk when Mr. Ullman took them on the tour of the building. Now this lamp is on the table and the other one has disappeared for the rest of the movie. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Wendy walks into Mr. Ullman's office to call the forest rangers and the light switch on the right side of his door, that was there in Jack's interview under the two pictures, has been removed. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Wendy walks up to Jack as he's typing and there's an open book to the right of the typewriter that has articles and pictures in it. No one touches it but after she leaves we see this book again opened to a different page without any pictures. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Wendy walks up to Jack as he's typing and says, "Get a lot written today?" and the wood statue between Jack's desk and the grand piano, that has been there throughout the movie, has disappeared. Submitted by ????
Continuity: The color of Jack's Adler ("eagle") typewriter changes. In the beginning of the movie it's cream colored than as Wendy finds him slumped over the chair having his bad dream it's blue. There's also a blue sticker on the cream colored typewriter to the left of the name Adler, that isn't on the other typewriter. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Wendy walks up to Jack as he works in The Colorado Lounge and the sofa that was facing his desk earlier in the movie as he threw the tennis ball has now disappeared. Submitted by ????
Continuity: Danny goes up to the apartment to get his fire engine and Jack who's sitting on the bed turns to look at him. There's no flower on the bureau next to the drapes, but in the next shot a plastic flower appears there. Submitted by ????
