Continuity: Before he breaks it, Jack looks at the radio in Mr. Ullman's office and the drape on the right of the window has been moved between shots.

Continuity: Jack looks at the radio in Mr. Ullman's office before he breaks it. If you look closely as he walks into the office and stands in front of the radio the microphone is facing him, but in the next shot it's been moved and is no longer facing him.

Continuity: As Delbert Grady talks to him in the bathroom, the tip of the left collar on Jack's red flannel jacket points in different directions throughout the scene. Sometimes pointing upward and sometimes being flush with his jacket.

Audio problem: After Dick Hallorann talks to the forest ranger from his home in Florida he puts the phone down and taps the fingers of his right hand on the piece of paper underneath the phone. He does this six times with the first being the hardest but if you listen closely they only over-dub the sound five times leaving the first one out.

Continuity: After Delbert Grady spills the drink on Jack he picks the tray up again with three empty glasses and two small spots of the yellow Advocaat on it. When we see the tray again sitting on the sink in the bathroom the spill is much larger taking up almost half the tray.

Visible crew/equipment: Wendy runs to the door to let Jack in after he comes back from looking for the old women in room 237 and the shadow of the cameraman can be seen on the lower part of her sweater as she turns for the door.

Continuity: Jack looks at the radio in Mr. Ullman's office and the chair to the left of the radio disappears between shots.

Continuity: After she runs into his room, Wendy sits on Danny's bed and says his name as she holds him close. When we first see him the hallway light is lighting up the wall behind him well to the right of his bed. In the final shot of this scene when she hugs him the hallway light along with the shadow it casts on them, has been moved in the opposite direction.

Continuity: From his home in Florida Dick Hallorannn calls up the forest ranger's office. If you look closely you can see the ranger's cup rotate clockwise 45 degrees between shots even though he doesn't move from his spot holding the phone in one hand and a pencil in the other.

Continuity: Before he breaks it, Jack takes the top off the radio and we see nothing to the right of the radio except an ashtray. When he first walked into Mr. Ullman's office something else was next to the ashtray and has been removed without anyone going near it.

Continuity: As Jack sits at The Gold Room bar during the party, the balloons on the wall behind him on the left change from all red to red and silver in the various shots that we see them in.

Continuity: In their apartment Wendy is talking to herself trying to decide what she should do with Danny. Look closely at the shadow cast by the red lamp near the refrigerator. This lamp has tassels hanging off the bottom that makes it's shadow very distinctive, as we see in the scene when Jack comes back from looking for the old women in room 237. The shadow that we now see on the floor is from an entirely different lamp without tassels.

Continuity: Jack takes the top off the radio before he breaks it and moves the unit back slightly in doing so. In the next close-up shot the radio has been moved forward about an inch closer to the edge.

Continuity: As he sits at the bar Jack wants to know who's buying his drinks and Lloyd says, "orders from the house". Watch closely as the ice cube sitting on the right side of Jack's Bourbon slips into and then back out of his drink again between shots.

Continuity: After coming back from looking for the old women in room 237 Wendy lets Jack in and he doesn't lock the deadbolt on the front door. Later as he storms out he unlocks the deadbolt first then opens the door.

Continuity: At the party in The Gold Room as Jack walks away from Lloyd the bartender he carries his drink past the edge of the bar twice. The first time his right index finger is pointing at Lloyd and the second time is isn't.

Continuity: As Delbert Grady takes Jack into the restroom he puts his tray down between the second and third sinks on the right. In the next shot the tray is between the third and fourth sinks.

Continuity: As Jack talks to Wendy on the edge of their bed about Danny and room 237 her sweater is in the light in the wide shots and in a shadow in the close ups.

Continuity: After he storms out on Wendy, Jack runs through the hallway of the kitchen's pantry and knocks a bunch of metal pots and utensils onto the floor. No one goes through this area again but later in the movie we see this area again as Wendy runs through the hallway looking for Danny and there are many more pots on the floor and the utensils on the brown shelf on the right in front of the large coffee pot have been moved also.

Continuity: Jack has his arms fully outstretched as Delbert Grady wipes off the Advocaat and tells him his name. In the next shot Jack's arms are bent nearer to his sides.
