Continuity: After coming back from room 237 Jack sits Wendy down on the bed and there's a pack of cigarettes on the right of the ashtray on the night table. No one goes near it but later the pack of cigarettes is gone.

Continuity: After he writes "Redrum" on the bathroom door, Danny walks over to Wendy as she sleeps carrying the knife with the blade facing him. In the next shot as he wakes her up the blade is facing the opposite direction.

Continuity: After Danny writes "Redrum" on the bathroom door we see Wendy's ash tray and it has a cigarette resting on it. In the next shot all the cigarettes are inside the ashtray.

Continuity: After Danny writes "Redrum" on the bathroom door there's a green toy tank on top of a book underneath Wendy's lamp. In the next shot the tank doesn't move but the book underneath it does.

Visible crew/equipment: After Wendy hits Jack with the bat and he falls down the steps, you can see it is actually a stunt double who has a different hairline than Jack.

Continuity: Wendy drags Jack on the floor to the storeroom and we see four knives in their holder. Later Wendy grabs one of these and the order of the knives in the holder is different.

Continuity: The way Wendy holds the bat changes from one shot to the next. First she is holding it one-third up the neck. When the camera angle changes from looking at her to looking from behind her she's holding the bat from the bottom.

Continuity: Wendy drags Jack on the floor to the storeroom so she can lock him up. At first she grabs the door latch with one hand and the handle with the other, but in the next shot both hands are on the handle with her right hand over her left.

Continuity: In The Colorado Lounge there's a brown chair behind Wendy on the right of the bookcase. When Jack says, "What should be done with him?" it is in shot again but the chair has been moved one foot to the left (it now casts a shadow on the wall).

Continuity: As Wendy looks at Jack's typewritten pages the top ones are crumpled by her. In the next shot he walks over to the same pages and thumbs through them himself, and it's a different pile as none of them are crumpled.

Continuity: As Wendy runs out of the storeroom Jack grabs her leg with his left hand. In the next shot he's not touching her leg with his left hand.

Visible crew/equipment: Wendy walks with her bat from the back of The Colorado Lounge over to the typewriter. If you look closely she walks through an equipment shadow on her right that shouldn't be there. The camera films her walking towards Jack's desk from in front of the two large support columns behind it, therefore there's nothing between her and the window and there should be no shadow on her at all.

Revealing: Dick Hallorann calls Durkin's garage and as Larry walks in the front door we see a few flakes of snow on his leather jacket and blue cap. The snowflakes are all artificial as they do not melt or change at all throughout the scene.

Continuity: As Dick Hallorann at Stapleton Airport speaks to Larry at Dirkin's garage there's a small yellow NAPA tractor parts sign in the background behind Larry's left arm. It's playfully turned upside down in the scene without anyone going near it.

Continuity: As Larry at the garage speaks to Dick Hallorann at Stapleton Airport watch the receipt in the cash register on the bottom left of the screen. In some shots it's sticking up while in others it's flattened down, and no one goes near it.

Continuity: Dick Hallorann calls Larry at the garage looking for a Snowcat. Just about all the papers on Larry's desk move between shots. Most notable is one yellow receipt in front of the credit card machine. As a small white piece of paper appears next to it the next time we see it.

Continuity: As she walks to the back of The Colorado Lounge we see the piece of paper in the typewriter from the side and it's not protruding over the top of the machine. Three shots later the camera films her from underneath the back of the typewriter and now even though she hasn't touched it yet, the piece of paper is protruding upward and over the rear of the machine.

Continuity: Dick Hallorann calls Larry at the garage and between shots of Larry and him at the pay phone, the adding machine and the television set behind him along with their wires move several inches to the left without anyone going near them.

Continuity: Larry at Dirkin's garage speaks to Dick Hallorann at Stapleton Airport and his gloves are by his right hand. The gloves disappear and Larry doesn't move as he speaks to Dick Hallorann, but later in a scene they appear again under his left elbow, only to disappear again in the last shot.

Continuity: In The Colorado Lounge, Wendy looks at Jack's page in the typewriter and they film her from underneath the back of the machine. If you look closely the way her turtleneck is tucked under her shirt, and how her hair is combed change in the two shots that are filmed this way.
