Mickey: Oh come on Randy, with all due respect, the killer obvious patterned himself after two serial killers who were immortalized on film.
Guy 2: Thank you!
Film Teacher: So, you're saying that someone is trying to make a real life sequel?
Randy: Stab 2? Why would anyone want to do that? Sequels suck!

Factual error: If the glass in the cop car is weak enough for the killer to smash it without hurting his hand, shouldn't it be weak enough to break when he throws the cop against another window hard enough to draw blood?
Continuity: When Sidney and her friend get into the police car to be taken to protection, Sidney sits on the driver's side. When the car crashes, she is on the passenger side.
Revealing: In the opening scene when Phil gets stabbed in the head, watch carefully and you can see the retractable blade popping back out when he pulls his head away.

Revealing: When the killer attacks Sid's bodyguards, the younger one has blood on his throat before the killer slashes it.
Audio problem: When Dewey is being stabbed up against the soundproof glass, you see a shot of Gail shouting "No." You can see a reflection of the killer in the glass standing motionless, but you can hear Dewey being stabbed.
Revealing: When Cici is stabbed in the sorority house, her shirt is bloody, but there is not a hole in the material.
Continuity: When Gale kisses Dewey she has no more lipstick on her mouth, then in the next shot she has lipstick on.

Other: When the killer is stabbing Randy, you can see his reflection in the side mirrors. He stabs him many times. The same amount of blood is on the knife every time he lifts it up.
Continuity: In the opening scene - the premiere of Stab - when the girl is about to go back into the theater, you see the door into the theater. In the next clip, when she enters - the door is much wider.
Plot hole: It is highly unlikely that the murderer knew Phil was going to put his ear to the stall when he heard music. It is even more unlikely that the murderer is going to get him on the first stab.
Revealing: When Randy, Gail, Dewey and Joel are sitting on a bench in the school grounds, Gail is smoking; but no smoke comes out of her mouth when she takes a drag, nor does the cigarette have any smoke coming off it.
Continuity: When Sydney is about to get in the car with the policemen, she has a rather large noticeable blemish on her chin. In the following scenes, it is gone.
Revealing: Towards the beginning, when Gail Weathers is talking to the sheriff who is standing at a podium, you see Mickey filming her with a hand-held camera. A panning shot going right following Mickey with some friends walking sideways reveals him looking at the camera twice. This is because he was waiting for his cue to stop.
Revealing: When Mickey draws the gun at the end of the movie, a hammer is heard being pulled back. Yet the gun that Mickey is using is hammerless.
Continuity: During the last stabbing of Maureen Evans, the killer puts his right arm around her and stabs her with his left; but from the back view, his left arm is around her, and he is stabbing her with his right.
Continuity: When Dewey enters the sound studio where Gale is, when he is sliding down the glass after being stabbed we see Gale's reaction from behind. In the shot of Gale you see ghostface looking down holding Dewey, yet 3 seconds later ghostface is standing looking at Gale and Dewey seems to have disappeared when he is supposed to still be against the glass.
Continuity: Shortly after the scene in which the killer pulls Randy into the van, Gale and Dewey run to the van and see the blood. Right before they open the door, there is a camera shot from inside the van through the window. You can see that the window is not broken: it is obvious that there is some sort of white fabric over it.
Continuity: When Cici is thrown from the balcony there is debris from the window all around her (glass & window pane fragments), but if you watch when she is thrown through the window in the first place, it is only a bit of debris went that far away, not nearly as much as it is shown around her.
Continuity: When the killer attacks Sidney and the bodyguards in the car, he smashes through the driver's side window, leaving some of the glass still around the edges. When the killer drives off, these fragments have dissapeared and the window is totally gone.
Continuity: When Debbie Salt is holding the knife on Sydney, the knife changes positions from time to time.
Continuity: When Phil and Maureen get inside the cinema and sit down, Maureen removes her bag from her shoulders. But in a following shot of
her, you can see the bag straps back on her shoulders.
Continuity: After Sidney slaps Gale on the face, Gale's hair changes its appearance / position between the two reaction shots.
Revealing: When the killer is attacking Cici on the balcony, you can see blood on Cici's back before she is even stabbed and both times she is stabbed, the knife that comes out of her back has no blood on it.
Continuity: Hallie takes the remote control off the top of the TV to turn it on. But later when they return in front of the TV to watch the news report, the remote is back on the top of the set. Also, the position of the video console which is also on top of the TV has changed, the position of the clothing on the chair next to the television has repositioned and lastly, the items on the windowsill behind the TV set have completely changed.
Continuity: When Sidney is doing her theatre performance, when she lifts up her red veil she wraps it around her shoulders twice between shots.
Continuity: When Sidney and Dewey are talking under the gazebo, before Dewey walks off, Sidney is leaning against one of the support beams of the gazebo. In the next shot she is standing at the centre of the staircase, away from the beam.
Continuity: When Sidney wakes up and answers the phone, the position of the watch on the desk, beside the caller ID, changes between shots.
Continuity: When Cici is running away from the killer, when they reach the second floor of the sorority house the distance between them greatly increases between shots.
Continuity: In the opening scene, the position of the bag straps and tee-shirt straps on Maureen's shoulders keep on changing.
Continuity: When Sidney leaves her dorm room to head for the shower and Hallie follows, you can see the open wardrobe by the dorm door,
and there is a jumper visible hanging from the wardrobe door. But when they walk back into the room to look at the news on TV, the
jumper has moved and now there is a bag visible in front of it as well.
Continuity: After the accident - when the car is seen from behind - you can't see the killer (it's before Sid crawls over him).
Continuity: When the girl - during the Stab film - touches her boyfriend's jacket and gets blood on her hands - in the second clip there is much more blood on her hands than in the first clip.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Cici is killed, just before the killer throws her off the balcony there is a visible member of crew/stunt's head.
Continuity: In the beginning where Jada Pinkett Smith is stabbed in the back, you see a white girl to her right look down at her arm as Jada's blood lands on her. If you watch the background closely as Jad is dying and stumbling around, the same girl is still looking around, as if it just happened.
Continuity: During the scene where Gale is underlining the names with the connection to Woodsboro on the board, she underlines 'Stevens' with the camera behind her and the line reaches across the whole name. In the next shot, the underline is just reaching up to the 'n'.
Continuity: When Gale is in the theatre and gets shot and falls from the stage, she has blood stain on her left breast (above the place where the shot wound appears). Yet later, when she climbs back to the stage, she has no blood stain, only the shot wound.
Continuity: When Phil Stevens is in the bathroom at the beginning of the movie, his watch switches from his left hand to his right hand.
Continuity: In the beginning of the movie, Jada Pinkett orders a popcorn and a small Pepsi from the concession stand. As she walks back in to the theatre she clearly has a jumbo sized large.
Continuity: When Dewey and Gail are in the classroom and as they are making out, when they realise that they are being filmed, Dewey has one side of his jacket off below his shoulder and in the other camera angle it shows that he has it perfectly on.
Continuity: When Phil and Maureen enter the cinema, Phil puts his arm around Maureen's shoulder. But in the next shot his hand is placed on
her back instead.
Audio problem: When Gail and Dewy are watching the tape of their conversation in the park, the sound of their conversation is way too clear taking into account their distance from the camera and the microphone, and there is no ambient noise at all.
Factual error: During the scene in which they are all arguing whether or not film sequels are better than the original or not, someone says Sigourney Weaver's classic line from the movie Aliens: "Get away from her you bitch", and Randy makes a smart comeback and tries to correct him by saying "I think the correct line was 'stay away from her you bitch'. This is a film class, right?" Wrong - the first guy was right. This line is truly unconvincing for the Randy character, being a big movie buff and all.
Continuity: When Dewey is being stabbed in front of Gail in the soundproof room, there is already blood on his his shirt. But you have to look very closely.
Revealing: At the start when Phil Stephens is being stabbed, when the killer draws back the knife you can see there is already blood on the knife. Its only there for a second so you have to look carefully.
Continuity: In her room at the start, Sid's hair is a little bit over her eye. She talks to her roomate and walks out of the room. The next shot her hair is perfectly behind her ear, but she didn't have time to put it back.
