Continuity: In Rocky, Micky mentions to Rocky that he is 76 years old. When Micky dies in Rocky III, his tombstone says 76 years. Rocky III takes place at least 3 years after Rocky.

Mr. T was chosen for this role by Stallone himself - he spotted Mr. T in a "world's toughest bouncer" contest (which Mr. T won). What sold Stallone was Mr. T's snazzy dressing, no-nonsense attitude and spectacular lingo. Apparently, the line that solidified him on the idea of hiring T was Mr. T's answer to the question "how do you handle potential troublemakers?". Mr. T had his head shaved bald at the time, and his answer was "I tell dem fools that mah patience is as long as the hair on mah head." He was hired almost instantly. Visible crew/equipment: Just before the second fight with Clubber and just after the pre-fight brawl, when the camera switches to the shot of Rocky and Apollo you can see a director's chair at the top right of the screen with "Mr. T" written on it.
Revealing: When Mr. T and Rocky are about to fight for the second time, the camera shows a view of the crowd, if you look closely in the top left hand corner there is a billboard with Rocky and Apollo with superfight 2 on it. This is a scene from Rocky 2.
Deliberate "mistake": In one fight scene, the word "Clubber" that is written on Mr. T's shorts is reversed. It is a flipped shot.
Continuity: In the second fight with Clubber Lang, just after Apollo Creed and crew scuffle with Clubber's corner, and just after Rocky and Apollo say, "I thought you said to be cool." "That *was* cool!", Rocky takes off his robe. As he takes it off, notice his towel is around his neck, covering his chest. It then pans wide to get an overhead view of the ring - Rocky's towel is missing. The very next shot shows Rocky continuing to take his robe off and magically, the towel re-appears.
