Revealing: In the final showdown, when Gail points the gun at Wade who is standing in the water, the raft isn't moving altough the current is pretty fast and the raft didn't get stuck anywhere as the cable is up in the air again. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: Later into the morning of the second day of the trip, after Wade and Terry have shown Gail and Tom the rapids they were afraid of, you see a silhouette shot of the whole group against a beautiful evening sky. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: Gail, Tom and Rourke get tied up when they take off with Wade and Terry. However, when they take a food and pee break they leave the raft apparently untied, with no evidence of anyone untying them. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: Gail skinny dips at night, facing the river bank where Maggie is waiting. Then Maggie starts barking, Gail turns around and sees Wade watching her. As Wade was in her field of vision already she wouldn't have to turn back to see him. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Plot hole: When Tom rescues Wade he knocks him out not to get pulled under himself, and Wade visibly turns limp under water. The moment they emerge Wade has regained full consciousness and is able to pull himself into the raft. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: On the second day of the trip, after Wade and Terry have killed their guide, they wait for Gail to guide them down the river. They walk up the steep riverside to have a look at the rapids, and there is one shot where you see that the rapids are much wilder, and the water flows into the opposite direction. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Tom sets up the trap with the cable across the river the water is calm and almost stagnant. When the raft arrives the water is choppy and flowing fast. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Wade tries to shoot Maggie, Rourke chases her up the hills, running after her. When Wade comes to scold him he is standing right on the riverside. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: Wade and Terry are supposed to follow Gail's raft through the rapids keeping to the extreme right. In this scene their position on the river varies a number of times, but there are many a shots where they are sticking to the extreme right as they should, but Gail screams that they are on the wrong side. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: After they have passed the first rapid where Tom fell into the water Gail is rowing and the river is flowing quite fast. In between is a brief cut to Rourke where the boat is not moving and the water is totally still. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Tom escapes he climbs up the steep rocks on the riverside. The height at which he is shown varies dramatically depending on the camera angle, and when he finally falls down into the water (unharmed, after bouncing from rock to rock.) he would actually have landed on the bank which was shown in the shot before. Plot hole: If you consider how fast the river is and how high and impassable the rocks on both sides of the river are, it is obvious that it was absolutely impossible for Tom to overtake the raft and arrive at the gauntlet well in time to set up the sophisicated trap with which he finally flips over the raft. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: In the scene where Wade almost drowns he is seen in the middle of a huge stretch of white water. When Tom comes to his rescue the water is clear and only slightly choppy. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Tom tells Gail he won't take part in the rafting trip and she sits down on the bed, her hair changes several times between tucked behind the ears and hanging straight in alternating shots. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Other: After the encounter with Gail's old Buddy, Ranger Johnny, Johnny paddles off without noticing the situation Gail and her family is in. Terry starts yelling and beating up Tom for drawing a SOS sign in the sand when Johnny still is not even around the next bend and still well within hearing distance. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Wade shows Rourke his gun the river is either wide and calm or narrow and choppy, depending on the camera angle. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Gail appears with Rourke's birthday cake he looks up to her and follows her with his eyes while he walks around the fire. Next we see a close-up of him, and he looks up to her again. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: On the first evening of their trip Gail talks to Tom about his work. You see her resting her chin in her hand, but when the camera angle changes her hands are down. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
