Continuity: In the second last scene of the film Nicholas Cage jumps onto a very long train pulled by southern Pacific Railway locomotives. In the last scene a pan shows a train rolling into the distance some hours later (the sun has come up) and the train is now very short and pulled by a Montana Rail-link locomotive. Either the train has seriously changed since we last saw our hero, or the director just took a pan of any old train in a setting he liked.

Continuity: In the scene where Michael and Suzanne are in the bar after having escaped from Lyle, there's a shot of Michael taking a drink of a beer, and then putting it down on the table. In the next shot, which is of Suzanne, we can just see Michael's arm, and he's putting the beer down again, without ever picking it up.
Continuity: In the scene where Nicholas Cage is driving Dennis Hopper's Cadillac Eldorado, Cage and Hopper are in the front, with J.T. Walsh and Lara Flynn Boyle in the back seat. The conversation scene moves from the front to the back, but when we see Cage or Hopper talking, Walsh and Boyle have mysteriously disappeared. When they talk, they have reappeared.
