Trivia

The wrestling organisation that is in this film(WCW) thought it would get good publicity to put their major title (the WCW Heavyweight championship) on the star of this film, David Arquette. Sure enough he won the title in a tag team match, but quickly lost it a few weeks later, in a triple cage match (an idea from this film). Shortly after this happened, WCW went out of business. Mistake Continuity: At the beginning of the match Shawn comes down and gets set on fire. Straight afterwards and during the match there are no scorch marks, but at the end of the match, when King grabs the belt, there are.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene with the last match between DDP and Jimmy King, when Jimmy King is on top of the cage and grabs the belt, he is holding it up. It shows the belt has a nameplate on it saying Jimmy King. If DDP was the champ, wouldn't the nameplate read DDP, or Diamond Dallas Page?

Mistake Continuity: In the scene with the truck wreck, they show the truck sliding at the wreck. When you see the naked ladies on the grill, the truck has a hood, but in the long views, the truck is a cab-over (no hood).

Mistake Continuity: In the final cage match when Gordy enters in his cop outfit, he spears King's son and Goldberg compliments him on his spear. At that moment Gordy takes off his glasses and puts them in his shirt pocket. Moments later when Gordy goes to talk to Shawn, he does the same thing.

Mistake Continuity: When the Shop and Stop guy throws the first bike the handle bars are on the left. But when the bike lands they are on the right.

Mistake Continuity: In Jimmy King's match with Diamond Dallas Page in the beginning of the movie, DDP tosses Jimmy out of the ring through a table. From the ceiling shot of Jimmy going over the top rope, we can see that there is nothing on the table, but when Jimmy goes through the table, there's a bunch of papers and coffee cups on there as if someone was sitting there.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Gordy & Shawn are eating their burgers, just before Shawn shows off his wrist strap, Shawn's sleeves are rolled then unrolled in different shots.

Mistake Continuity: Near the end, during the triple cage battle between DDP and King, right before King grabs the belt he powerslams DDP through the top tier of the cage. As DDP is falling, there is one shot where he is almost completely vertical, seeming that if he continued on this he would drop squarely on his neck and/or top of the shoulders. But not 2 seconds later he hits the mat and he is completely horizontal, showing that he was most likely dropped from about 1 foot above the camera.

Mistake Continuity: When Gordie and Sean are talking to King through the motor home window, the King's hand switches from left to right a couple of times during the scene.

Mistake Other: During the scene where Shawn and Gordy are in the van with the nuns, watch Shawn's hands closely, he's not actually playing in time with the sound of the guitar.

Mistake Continuity: When Gordy and Sean are sitting down eating burgers Gordy has some food on his face - in the next camera shot it has gone.
