Continuity: When Owen is sitting at the bar, and the TV has him featured as "Loser of the Week," the same woman in a blue top, carrying a handbag and blue cardigan walks past him twice.
Continuity: In the beginning of the movie when the main character is watching ESPN. The footage of the Dallas game, where the referee (Cuba Gooding) messes up the coin toss, you clearly see the sky right over the crowd in the stadium. The ESPN people say it was in Dallas. In Dallas, the Cowboys play in a dome. The hole of the dome is in the center of the roof and the sky would not have been shot so easily. Also the dome has artificial grass. The footage showed natural grass.
Factual error: When it shows Cuba Gooding Jr.'s botched coin flip call, he is wearing a black hat with white stripes. This hat is only for Line Judges, Back Judges, and Umpires in football. If he is doing the coin flip, he should she be wearing a white hat to signify that he is the referee. The referee wears the white hat in every level of football, from high school all the way to the pros.
Continuity: As the woman slips at the top of the stairs, she has a handbag in her hand, however as she is rolling down the stairs, she doesn’t, and even if she let go of it it isn’t on the stairs anywhere.
Visible crew/equipment: When the lady trips on the glass and rolls down the stairs, you can see the ankle pads she’s wearing.
Plot hole: After the woman falls down the stairs, the lawyer asked what happened and a lady says she “tripped over that glass.” How could she of seen this if she was down at the bottom of the stairs?
Visible crew/equipment: In practically every scene throughout the movie the reflection of blue screens and reflectors are visibly reflected in Vera's glasses.
Continuity: When Merrill and Vera meet for the first time in the hotel, they sit down, and Merrill puts her black handbag down on the table in front of her. It disappears in the next shot.
Continuity: When Vera and Merrill first meet, they sit down and Merrill puts her handbag on the table so that the side with the little pink flower at the top faces Vera. In the next shot it faces Merrill.
Continuity: When Randy and the family enter the hotel room, they put the bags down and go round to the boudoir area. In the next shot the position of the bags by the door has changed.
Continuity: When Jason and Kimberley are jumping on the beds, the bolster on one of the beds falls off in one shot, but is back on in the next.
Continuity: When Nick and his friend are talking in the hotel lobby about breaking rules, the extras in the background change in every shot, some passing twice, some jumping location, others appearing and disappearing.
Audio problem: When Nick is talking to his friend in the casino lobby, in a side view his friend says "...not one quarter..." but you can clearly see his mouth doesn't move.
Revealing: When Owen is using the machine, the golden coin drops down, however the slot machine is still spinning and hasn't yet stopped.
Visible crew/equipment: As Nick puts his coin into the machine to gamble, you can see the crewmembers arms pushing equipment along, reflected in the golden edges of the casino machines.
Continuity: In the conference / buffet room, Blaine looks at the reflection of his tounge in a small shiny, silver dish. Between shots he changes from holding the dish landscape to portait and then back again.
Continuity: When Donald Sinclair rolls the die across the table, it rolls well past Blaine, but in the next shot it is right in front of him.
Continuity: In the scene where everybody is racing downstairs, as they all fall in the corner you can see Vera is wearing high heels. Later on in the film, especially noticeable at the rocket car scene, she now has flat shoes on. What, did they take a trip to the shoe shop during their frantic race to Silver City?
Visible crew/equipment: As everyone is leaving the casino and are starting the race, as Vera and Merrill walk out the double doors you can see a crewmember and the camera, which is pulling backwards, reflected in the other closed door.
