Continuity: At the big dinner, the Grandma tries to show the Chinese man some pictures and he shakes his head as he eats his green soup. A minute later, they serve the green soup.

Continuity: During the beach party, when Mandy Moore's character is singing, her friends, who are supposed to be her backup singers, don't sing along with her. They somehow manage to sing the whole song without moving their mouths.

Continuity: Just before the Princess goes to smash her ice cream cone into the cheerleader's chest, she takes a bite off the top of the ice cream, but when she pushes it towards the camera you can see that it hasn't been eaten at all.

Revealing: When Mia is playing softball in gym class, and the ball she hits at Josh hits him in the groin, he actually gets hit in the stomach.

Continuity: When Mia at the end hits the ball and it hits Josh, there are two shots in which he is kneeled over in pain with the ball nowhere in sight. then, as she jumps over him, the ball suddenly appears a foot away from him.

Continuity: When Mia is going to see Michael about her "baby", the band finishes and the main singer walks off, followed by two girls carrying equipment. In the next shot, the guy is standing back where they performed, having just finished singing, talking to the girls.

Other: At the end of the movie, when Mia is observing her new palace, the Genovian flag is fluttering on its top. But as the plane circles, the angle of the flag should change, but it doesn't. Obviously a CGI error.

Continuity: Right at the start of the movie, when Mia is shown opening her window blinds, there are some books on a shelf to the left. The lowermost is Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice", which her grandmother will first give her much later in the movie, together with a rather large book ("The Vanderbilt Complete Book of Etiquette"), in which Mia has already been reading in the immediately preceding scene.

Continuity: When Mia and Michael are talking and Michael asks Mia to come and see his band, keep your eye on the background. You see Lily running to catch up with them and she passes in between two people and doesn't even look at them, then in the next shot she passes them again, points at the boy who has stepped to the side and says "Not you, I don't even know you."

Continuity: When Josh is finished making his speech, everyone starts cheering; you can see in the background the guy banging on the drum is beating it much faster than he is when the camera gets a close-up of him.

Continuity: In the beginning when the princess girl is taking to trash out she hits her neighbors trashcan. You can see an R from the neighbors side view and then they cut to a further shot and the trashcan is turned opposite because the name is on the other side.

Continuity: Mia is eating an ice cream cone in the canteen with something brown on the top. Later, when she smashes it into Lana's shirt, there are rainbow "hundreds and thousands" on it.

Continuity: When Mia is eating her grapes during the dinner sequence, the grapes are red, but when we see a close-up of her using her knife and fork to cut the grapes, some of them have changed to a green color.

Continuity: In the beginning of the movie Mia slides down the pole to get to the main floor. The next shot is her mom coming down a ladder to the ground floor talking to Mia, but you can see the top of Mia's head in the foreground as she walks down the staircase. Supposedly she's already on the ground floor via the pole.

Continuity: At the very beginning of the film, when they show the 'Mia and Fat Louis' sign, the blinds are opened by a hand near the top. When they show Mia inside, she opens the blind near the middle again.

Other: Before Mia bends over and breaks the finger off the statue, you can clearly see that the finger is just dangling on the statue in the first place.

Continuity: When Mia is leaving right after she starts dance lessons with Joe, you see her running out of the shot and in the next shot she already has her backpack on. It seems impossible for her to have grabbed it and put it on while continually running in such a little time span.

Continuity: When Mia is sitting with Jeremiah, Lana says "Sunglasses, girls!" and she and the other two girls put on their glasses. But when Lana stands up and faces Mia, her glasses have disappeared.

Continuity: When Mia is in her room preparing to run away, there is a shot of Fat Louie in his carrier, and there is a white spot around his eye. In the rest of the movie he doesn't have a spot on his eye. This is because in the making of the movie there were 4 different cats used to portray Fat Louie. Still a mistake though.

Continuity: When Mia and her grandmother enter in the ballroom together at the end. Mia's mom and her date are clearly standing in front of the band, but when Mia is looking for someone to dance with, they are standing beside what looks like curtains. Then as Mia and Michael start dancing you see her mom back in front of the band.

Continuity: When Mia and Queen Clarisse are careening down the hill in Mia's Mustang, you see she hits the trolley on the green part and puts a HUGE dent in the side of it. Later in a different shot, you see the trolley and the green part has no dent, and the car is much to low to have hit the trolley in the green part in the first place.

Continuity: At the end of the movie, when Mia and Michael are walking outside, Michael puts one arm behind his back. But in the close-up shot, his arm is at his side.

She goes from sitting casually to looking like she's enjoying the fact that he's taking off his shirt, and back to casual again. It's right when Lana is talking about how Josh is her man. Once Josh sits down, Fontana is looking at Josh in the same sort of way.

Continuity: Kinda near the start of the film when the cheerleaders are sitting with their boyfriends they had already sat down, then it shows the back of them when Mia is walking past, and they are just about to sit down.
