In the scene where Mia slips and falls on the bleachers, Anne Hathaway actually did fall. The director thought it was so funny that he decided to leave it in there. Notice how Mia and Lilly fall out of character and start laughing, but in the next shot they're immediately serious again as if nothing happened. See more...

Continuity: In the beginning when the princess girl is taking to trash out she hits her neighbors trashcan. You can see an R from the neighbors side view and then they cut to a further shot and the trashcan is turned opposite because the name is on the other side.
Continuity: In the beginning of the movie Mia slides down the pole to get to the main floor. The next shot is her mom coming down a ladder to the ground floor talking to Mia, but you can see the top of Mia's head in the foreground as she walks down the staircase. Supposedly she's already on the ground floor via the pole.
