Continuity: When Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are getting ready to bring back Nicole Kidman's jerk boyfriend from the dead, they are going to put him on a counter that has towels and other stuff on it. The camera shows them picking him up and putting him on the counter, and when they do, the towels and stuff are all gone, without them clearing it off.

Practical Magic (1998) - 21 mistakes
These mistakes are currently being ordered by time. Entries without times will appear at the end.
starring Aidan Quinn, Dianne Wiest, Evan Rachel Wood, Goran Visnjic, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Stockard Channing (add more)
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene with Nicole Kidman's exorcism, the camera pans to the area above the mantle, where previously the girls had been removing pictures. You can see a section of the wall, about the size of a picture, opening and banging back into the wall. It appears that they intended to hang a picture there and have it banging during the scene, but forgot to hang it up.
Continuity: When they do the spell on Nicole's boyfriend, Nicole cuts his top, then in the next scene, it's a different, buttoned up top, not the one that Nicole cut in the first scene.
Continuity: When Aidan Quinn is questioning Sandra, as he is coming out of the herb house, he pulls out the letter that Sandra wrote Gillian. In one shot his hand and the envelope is facing one direction, in the next shot, they are facing a different direction.
Continuity: When Aidan Quinn leaves Sandra Bullock's shop, she follows him out and folds her arms. Aidan folds his arms too. In the next shot of him, his arms are unfolded and at his side.
Revealing: When Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman drag her sister's "dead" husband/fiancé into a room, the door hits him on the head and his eyes move.
Continuity: When Sandra just goes to her shop after staying in bed for a few days she places a bottle on the shelf, but in the next scene it's gone.
Continuity: When Jillian is running away with her boyfriend for the first time, when they are getting ready to exchange blood for bonding, the camera cuts to her boyfriend on the ground below the deck. Right as Jillian says "honey", he begins taking out his pocket knife. When Jillian says "need your pocket knife", he has already thrown it up to them.
Continuity: Just before Sally and Aidian kiss for the first time, (in the bedroom) they are talking about the disappearance of Gillian's boyfriend. There's one shot where Sally tucks some of her hair behind her right ear. She leaves a clump of it in front of her ear. A shot or so later, a lot less hair is in front of her ear. Just before they kiss, the large clump is back.
Continuity: Aunt Jet picks up a broom after Sally and Gillian banish Jimmy's spirit from Gillian's body. In the next shot, where the spirit is swirling near the ceiling, she is not holding the broom but has it again in the shot following.
Continuity: When Sally and Aiden are talking, Sally takes his badge. It's in her hand in one shot as she's explaining about it's symbolism and in the next, he's holding it.
Factual error: When Sally is leaving to rescue Gilly from her boyfriend she asks the Aunts to look after her children. The Aunts then say that they will take the children with them to the solstice celebration. A few days later when the cop is interviewing Sally he gives the date as March 8th. There are two solstices each year, one in December and one in June. Since this film takes place in early March, the Aunts could not have been going to a solstice celebration.
Continuity: When they have just swept the ashes from the boyfriend onto the grass, Gillian and Sally grab the boiling pot with pot holders. They keep them on top, but use bare hands to help pour it.
Continuity: Hallet takes his jacket off twice when he's in his room with Sally.
Other: In the end credits, the filmmakers misspell the name of the town they wish to thank. They spell it "Coupville", but it's actually spelled "Coupeville."
Continuity: When all of the women come to form the coven to drive the ghost out of Nicole Kidman, all of the women are standing holding the brooms. When Nicole gets up and rushes at them, all of the brooms are on the floor, and the women are standing back from them. Next scene, they are holding them again.
Continuity: Gilly is on the floor inside the circle formed by the other women to prevent her from escaping. Sally falls on her knees to be close to her sister. When the camera shows Gilly from Sally's position her head is turned right, when they are both in the shot Gilly's head is turned left
Continuity: In an early scene where the young Sally and Gillian are walking up to the aunts' house, the girls shown are the ones that play Sally's daughters and they're wearing velvet dresses. When they reach the aunts, the film shows the young girls that are actually playing young Sally and Gillian and they're wearing sailor type school girl uniforms.
Continuity: During the Phone Tree meeting Sally places a spell on a woman that's talking trash about Gillian. When the woman flinches from what sounds like a whack on her hand, you can see Nicole Kidman's hair pushed back behind her ears, when they show a close up of her and Sandra Bullock right afterwards, Nicole's hair isn't behind her ears and looks like it never was.
Continuity: When Aidan Quinn is showing the letter to Sandra Bullock as he leaves the herb garden, the first shot is him tucking the envelope into his inner pocket in his jacket. The next shot, his hands are on his hips. The third shot, he's still tucking it away before he puts his hands on his hips.
