Continuity mistake: Lotte barges in the pizza place and carves her name onto Shaggy and Scooby with her sharp nails. LOTT on Shaggy's shirt, and the E in Scooby's fur. They run out the door and then come back to pay for their food. Suddenly the rips in Shaggy's shirt and the scraped off fur on Scooby's chest have vanished. (00:23:45)
Continuity mistake: When Emma finishes her performance after the big car chase, she jumps off the star and slides on her knees to the edge of the stage. It cuts to a much further back shot, and suddenly she is quite a ways away from the edge of the stage, back next to the star. (01:06:55)
Continuity mistake: In the Mystery Machine, Fred swerves around a car at an intersection and passes it. He then looks back to see if Dewey is following them, and the car they just passed vanishes. (01:03:15)
Continuity mistake: Velma goes into the sound room to investigate Brick. She finds the microphone still on and taps it. Between shots, the mic's receiver part changes from being a sphere to a cylinder. (00:54:25)
Continuity mistake: Before the pizza is brought out, Shaggy and Scooby are sitting at a long table. The center of the table has the usual stuff, salt and pepper shakers, napkins, etc. But when the gigantic pizza is brought out, this stuff suddenly vanishes. (00:21:15)
Continuity mistake: When The Great Pauldini introduces himself to Velma, he is wearing gloves. As he makes an egg appear, thinking it's his business card, he presents it to her, and suddenly in this shot he is not wearing gloves. But in the next shot and the rest of that part, his gloves are back on. (00:15:15)
Continuity mistake: When Velma goes to Hotel Canard, she is walking towards the reception desk and the hotel's logo is part of the floor's tiling. Velma is walking and steps on the logo as she reaches it. The camera cuts to a reverse angle and suddenly she hasn't reached the logo yet, and the logo also becomes smaller. (00:14:00)
Continuity mistake: Before doing their tie breaker performance, Fred and Daphne get up on stage and are introduced by Brick. It cuts to a close up and suddenly Brick is standing right next to them. (01:10:15)
Continuity mistake: After Emma finishes her performance, Brick comes out on stage and gives the conclusion so she can leave. When he comes out, he stops and she is standing still on his right side. Camera cuts to a far shot and suddenly she is on his left side, and then turns to walk off stage. (01:07:00)
Continuity mistake: Dewey gets in his car and starts chasing the gang. In one part, his car is completely on the sidewalk. It cuts to an aerial view and the car is suddenly halfway off the sidewalk. (00:01:40)
Factual error: Dewey corners the gang in the wrecked Mystery Machine and pulls out his duster, which a blade pops out of. There is no way that blade could have fit in the duster. The blade is much thicker than the handle of the duster, and it is longer than the handle and the feathers combined. (01:04:55)
Continuity mistake: In the sewers under the Opera House, a bunch of rats rush out of a duct at the gang and it startles Shaggy. He backs up into the guard rail and knocks a large chunk of it loose, which falls away, leaving a large gap in the railing. Scooby quickly grabs Shaggy and pulls him away. Then the gap is shown again, and it is suddenly only about half the size it was in the previous shot. (00:44:30)
Continuity mistake: When the gang try to set a trap for the Phantom in their dressing room, it doesn't go right and Shaggy runs to the couch scared. There is a conventional clock behind him on the wall, the hands showing 1:10. It cuts to a view from inside the closet and suddenly it shows 1:15, the minute hand jumping from the 2 to the 3. Continuity mistake: While Emma is on stage giving her violin performance, Daphne, Fed, Velma, and Emma's parents are off stage watching. It cuts to a close up and suddenly Emma's dad's hand is on her mom's shoulder. (00:34:35)
Revealing mistake: As the gang is watching The Phantom on the security monitors, he turns around and takes off down a hall. The only lights in the hallway are suspended from the ceiling in the center. Yet the Phantom's shadow is cast to his right on the wall, when there are no lights to his left. (00:10:50)
Continuity mistake: As the Gang is walking up to the opera house where Talent Star is being held, the floor above the stairs is a solid shiny piece from the back angle. But when it cuts to an overhead view, there are suddenly tiles. (00:05:55)
Continuity mistake: When the Phantom knocks down the Talent Star logo, Dewey is standing on the right side of the star point that is broken. But when the Phantom grabs the rope and swings down at Dewey, he is suddenly on the left side of the broken star point. (00:01:15)
Continuity mistake: While dusting off the stage podium, Dewey sees some men walk by leaving a trail of dirty footprints on the stage. He gripes at them and bends down and begins whipping at one of the foot prints. As he does, another guy goes guy wheeling something along that leaves a dirty trail of wheel prints as well as his own footprints between the two lines. This new set is beside the other set of footprints Dewey is already cleaning. It then cuts to an overhead view, and suddenly the first set of footprints vanishes, and Dewey is suddenly in the same position, but cleaning a footprint in the second trail. (00:00:35)
Continuity mistake: As Dewey is standing at the podium on the stage, watching the crew prep the stage for the show, there is a girl standing next to him writing on a clipboard. At first, she is facing towards him and appears to be about level with him if not standing slightly in front. It cuts to a different angle and suddenly she is facing away from him and is about behind him. (00:00:20)
Continuity mistake: As the movie starts, the camera zooms in on the Talent Star building, showing the sign for Talent Star displayed at the top. The large stars on the sign are complete, having all their points. But when it cuts to a close up, suddenly the point of the center star at the top is cut off. The stars also seem to be further apart and the stars on the right and left become a little smaller. (00:00:10)
