Continuity mistake: When Haymitch is talking to the head peacekeeper, the cut on the peacekeeper's forehead disappears in some shots and reappears in others. (00:36:10)
Continuity mistake: When the spool of wire snags, the cable is running from the left hand (screen right) side of the spool. Camera changes and now the wire is running from the right hand (screen left) side of the spool. Despite the fact the wire is stuck and won't move. (02:00:35)
Continuity mistake: When Peeta hands Katniss the pearl, the amount of sand on his hand increases drastically instantly. (01:42:50)
Other mistake: When Cinna is attacked before Katniss is lifted into the arena, she screams out "Peeta!" two separate times, instead of "Cinna!"
Continuity mistake: When Joanna hands Katniss a drink on the beach, Joanna has sand on her knee protectors. When the camera changes, she doesn't. (01:53:05)
Continuity mistake: When we see Finnick on the beach standing off against the monkeys we see he has his spear lowered in the long shots and raised in the close ups. (01:41:20)
Continuity mistake: When Cesar is introducing the show on the eve of the games, he says "And unfortunately..." and raises a pointed finger above his shoulder level, then says."say good bye to all but one" however the camera has changed angle and his hand should be visible but is not. (01:06:40)
Continuity mistake: When Peeta is given the pink drink at the mansion, he is holding the glass by the stem, camera changes to a long shot and he's now holding the glass much higher. (00:27:15)
