In the final shot where Merida and Elinor riding their horses before we see the whips one last time, the lords' ships are seen in the background distance, but not Fergus and his dogs. [Because Fergus had already retrieved the triplets and was back in the harbor. There is no indication that Merida and Elinor riding the horses occurred immediately after the ships left the shore.]|
