In later episodes, we learn that Chandler, Monica and Rachel knew each other in high school. Even Chandler kissed Rachel once, and since Chandler always says that he hasn't kissed many women, he should have perfectly remembered Rachel, and Monica should have known that the two of them knew each other. [Actually, Chandler did not go to Lincoln High. He was with Ross in college. Yes, he met Rachel before, but Monica not remembering that is an understandable minor character mistake, not a movie mistake.]
