Mistakes

Frodo is getting ready to leave Bag End - Gandalf says "Travel by day, and stay off the road" and hands Frodo his walking stick. The black grip on the walking stick that Gandalf hands to Frodo is close to the top of the stick. In the next shot, the walking stick that Frodo takes hold of has a black grip that is way lower from the top of the stick. Each actor filmed individually. See more...

Trivia

I really liked the subtlety of this and thought I'd share it - there's a part in the book, 'The Fellowship of the Ring', just after Frodo has been grabbed by the Watcher in the water outside the gates of Moria. Gandalf thinks, but does not say, that 'whatever it was that dwelt in the lake, it had seized on Frodo first among all the Company' ie. the implication being that the ring draws attack and evil from all around. This happens in the film too - the first Ringwraith is able to separate Frodo from the other three hobbits, when they're running for the Bucklebury Ferry, the Watcher grabs him, as in the book, and even the Cave Troll singles him out. The entry you are changing the wording of is:

Title The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Original entry When Pippin says "What about second breakfast?" he's crouched over by the pony, a bit away from Merry. Aragorn says a line and the camera goes back to the Hobbits. Now Pippin is further from the pony standing right by Merry, not crouched at all. He couldn't have moved that far during Aragorn's line and be standing so naturally.
