Why Internet Explorer sucks
While trying Google's new browser recently (Chrome - give it a go) I was reminded of two tests - Acid2 and Acid3. They're strict web design tests but based on all the standards which browsers should stick to, and demonstrate how well browsers render web pages. You'd expect browsers to pass them, or at least be readable, but as the results for IE show, it just spews out an appalling mess of unreadable aaaaaaargh. Acid2 isn't new either - was designed over 3 years ago, and yet IE still can't make it work? The results are in the image below - I realise it's poor quality, but it's just a quickly knocked-together thing to prove a point:

This is why everyone should use Opera (download), or failing that, Chrome (download), or failing THAT, Firefox (download). But not Internet Explorer. NEVER Internet Explorer. Using it means you won't see things properly, and you're also leaving yourself open to all manner of nasty security holes. Take 2 minutes out of your day to download any other browser...
