Rank Title Mistake
SpongeBob SquarePants Ep 3-21 Spongebob Meets The Strangler / Pranks A Lot: When the invisible Spongebob and Patrick scare Sandy, they are using a sheet to appear as "ghosts". However, the form of the sheet reveals that they don't have their helmet bowls on. How could they survive in the treedome that time? They sounded fine, not dehydrated.
Full House In this episode, Jesse goes to his high school reunion and then in the flashback, he rides his motorcycle into the gym and says to his girlfriend, 'I'm graduating tomorrow, what are they gonna do, expel me?' indicating that he graduated. But in season 6 in Educating Jesse, Jesse says he's a high school drop-out.
Friends During this episode, Chandler is having major problems slipping people dollar bills. He asks Monica if Richard (her ex) use to slip people notes. But in Series 2 there was an episode where Chandler and Joey were doing impressions of Richard; they impersonate him by slipping money to each other with no problems. So not only has Chandler forgotten that Richard used to slip money, he's also lost the ability to slip money himself.
Mr. Bean In the swimming pool scene, we see the female lifeguard swapping places with the male lifeguard on a raised seat by the pool. However, shortly afterwards, he tells everyone to leave the pool and is not on the platform. (Why would he go up to the platform in the first place if everyone was getting out shortly anyway?)
The Fairly OddParents When Timmy is turned into a girl by a supposed wish, shouldn't he/she? still wear the pink hat? (Note: In "Secret Origin..." we know the pink hat was a girl hat.)
Passions During the party where it was revealed that Ethan is not a Crane and Theresa knew he wasn't, Gwen accidentally reveals she also knew. Even though he is upset with Theresa for keeping it a secret, Ethan says he can forgive her because he thinks she kept it a secret to protect him and that she never would have revealed the information to the tabloid. But Gwen says 'then why did she save the document on her lap top?' How did Gwen know the information was on Theresa's lap top? When she says that, it reveals that not only did she know that Ethan was not a Crane but that she knew Theresa knew, and that she was probably the one that sent the info to the tabloid.
Desperate Housewives It says on Mary-Alice's tomb stone that she died on September 26th 2004, which was a Sunday, yet in the first episode, she says that she died on a Thursday.
Days of Our Lives When Lucas pretended to be the killer on 12/16/03, he said that he wanted to give Sami a scare after becoming suspicious of her when he followed her to his mother's hotel suite. But if he was following her, then how did he get to the bedroom before Sami to jump out at her? And where did he get the cloak and mask on the spur of the moment?
Charmed In episode 7-11: "Ordinary Witches," the innocent who gets Piper's powers uses them to freeze Piper and Phoebe. But even though Piper and Phoebe no longer have their unique powers, they are still good witches; they were still able to scry, and we have encountered good witches on the show in the past who had no powers at all. And by the rules of magic within the show, good witches do not freeze.
Dawson's Creek Jack and Joey are desperate to get the tank pump fixed so they can put the lobsters back in. However, once the customer tells them how to fix it, they then stop for a chat, check his table for tips, read a poem, share a moment, and start cleaning counters - with no attempt to re-house the lobsters.
The Simpsons Nelson Mutz is one of the person banned for life by the comic book seller. If so, why he is seen later during Tom Savini's presentation?
Frasier Why can Niles hear what Frasier has said when he is inside the sensory deprivation tank? The whole point of these are that you cannot hear anything happening outside, so Frasier's ranting shouldn't have been heard inside. Similarly, why did the writers even have this scene with Frasier trying to talk to "Maris" when she was supposed to be inside it? Clearly they didn't quite know how soundproof they are.
Lilo & Stitch: The Series When Nani, Jumba, Pleakley and Stitch are turned into babies, Pleakley says he did oops in his pants, but it is well known that Pleakly doesn't where pants, so why does he say that when it's not true?
Will & Grace Ellen and Rob wear wedding rings, yet their wedding is not announced until "An Affair to Forget" in the second season.
24 When Kim sees Gary she runs into the master bedroom, hides her bags, goes into the closet and up to the attic - all in the time it takes Gary to run five yards to the bedroom door. And considering how much noise the attic door made he should have heard her. Plus, how did she manage to get the door hatch closed when she had gone up?
Tru Calling Throughout the series, auxiliary characters are always far too willing to give all kinds of information to Tru. Doctors and registrars constantly give her privileged information about patients and students. Tru is often able to retrieve information like addresses and phone numbers from people's service and utility companies, when normally you must verify your own information before they will even talk to you about your account. Of course there can't be an episode if Tru doesn't quickly find the person who asked for her help, even though she doesn't usually know much more than their name, but it's still a bit conspicuous.
CSI: Miami The photographer who found the dead guy (Stalkerazzi) told Horatio that he was chasing a black Cadillac Escalade that was chasing the Stalkerazzi's car. He also said that he got stuck behind a truck and that when he finally caught up the Stalkerazzi was dead and there was no sign of the black Escalade. Throughout the rest of the episode nobody does any looking into the black Escalade, asks suspects if they own one or even mention it again. No investigation of the truck that the photographer got stuck behind was shown either. In the same episode Speed tells a cop, while in a tree looking into someone's yard, that they go in through windows if need be to close a case. This is totally inconsistent with the rest of the show and the law. They are always careful about getting search warrants and doing things by the book.
Xena: Warrior Princess Xena is posing as a guard outside of Caesar's office. She knocks out the 2nd guard and throws him on the ground. Moments later, about 10 guards walk by, but no one notices the passed-out guard on the floor.
Futurama How is it that Fry, Leela, and Bender all went downward several feet when they fell through the pipe, yet were still level with the fake slurm factory that they were in before they fell?
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Up until about Green With Evil, we can see the Rangers fighting Super Putties, which didn't come into the Series until after Green With Evil.
Red Dwarf In the episode 'Backwards' most of the things that happen on 'Backwards Earth' are correct, except, of course, in reverse. But there is an exception: in the scene in the Cafe, when the waitress comes to 'dirty' the table, she tips a box of trash on the table. If you play this scene backwards, the trash leaps from the table into the box. Even on a 'backwards earth' I can't believe that trash spontaneously leaps about...
ER There are always family members right in the room while the doctors are literally cutting into the patients. The family is always creating a fuss or whatever, until someone asks for them to escorted out. A real hospital would never let family members into the room while they are cracking open their loved one's chest.
The Dick Van Dyke Show Sally Rogers appears on the Stevie Parsons show which is a late night talk show, the next morning she receives letters from as far away as Hawaii... the US mail isn't that fast.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer The First (as Drusilla) touches and moves Spike's hair, However it is made very well clear later in the season that The First is not corporeal, which means it is unable to physically touch anything.
Blackadder The timing in the episode "Head" is completely muddled up. They decide to move Lord Farrow's execution to Monday from Wednesday to give them the middle of the week off. On the Monday, just after they have established that he is dead (although, of course, it turns out they killed Lord Ponsonby instead) Lady Farrow turns up and says, "He dies tomorrow" which ought to make it Tuesday. The writers have very definitely forgotten about one day of the week.
Forever Knight When the two henchmen who break into Nick's loft to kill Lisa are captured, the case is closed. But the two thugs were reporting back to a boss who wasn't caught, and who surely would have sent more hitmen after Lisa. So the case shouldn't have been closed.
Family Matters The Winslows' younger daughter, Judy, disappeared from the show in 1993 (halfway through the series' run) with no explanation.
Dallas In the first season, Lucy Ewing had an affair with Ray, the farm hand at South Fork. Several years later, it was revealed that Ray was actually Jock Ewing's illegitimate son, making him Lucy's uncle. However, the subject of their affair was never raised, even though they surely would have been at least somewhat traumatized upon learning of the accidental incest.
Alias In 'Phase One' Sydney tells Will during the day to "Get Francie and get out of town" because she realises there's someone after her. Later that night Francie is shot at her restaurant and replaced by Allison (the clone), but Will was supposed to have taken her away already. There's no question of him not finding her - the restaurant would be the first place he'd look for her.
King of the Hill In this episode, Hank meets his paternal half brother. They look alike. However, we saw in an earlier episode that Hank's facial structure takes after his mother, not his father. Since they are paternal half brothers, then the Japanese brother cannot look like Hank since he has a different mother.
