Continuity mistake: Many times in the movie, Romit's hair changes from one shot to another. It goes from very short on the sides to long then back again.
Continuity mistake: When the landlady shows Judy to her "luxury apartment" note the position of the vertical deadbolt lock affixed to the front door and jamb, but the next morning when Judy leaves for the ZPD, as she unlocks the door the deadbolt lock has moved higher up on the door and jamb (note wallpaper). Additionally, just as Judy opens the door we can see that although the interior deadbolt is affixed higher, its key cylinder on the exterior side is much lower, which makes no sense, but then the deadbolt is back to normal.
Factual error: At the start Bruce Wayne runs into a massive dust cloud formed from the falling building. In the scenes that follow he and the other people have very little or no dust on them at all - they should be completely covered and choking on it.
Factual error: When the new president talks to the world on shortwave radio, some kids are adjusting a TV antenna in one shot. Shortwave radios wouldn't work with TV antennas, they use two significantly different frequencies. Shortwave is a much longer wavelength and would require larger antennas to work.
Plot hole: In multiple scenes in the movie the starship is in a gentle rotation which allows 1G gravity on the ship. When the power to the propellant is cut the rotation stops and gravity is lost. Such a design for a starship doesn't make sense as the entire structure could be put in a continuous motion, as is indeed done with many probes today without requiring the continuous addition of power. Even if this design was chosen with part of the structure fixed and party of it moving around it still seems unlikely that the rotating part would come to a grinding halt within seconds (if it did, the friction of the structure would be huge, requiring enormous levels of energy to keep it moving) The only reason the movie chooses this unlikely design is to integrate the crucial shot of Aurora floating out of the pool when power is first lost.
Plot hole: When Kirk and Jay-lah appear on the bike they are already travelling at speed. This is impossible, as they would have had to enter the transporter room at speed, not possible with the Franklin's transporter.
Continuity mistake: Strange is at home, looking for help on a video chat, then throws a tantrum by throwing everything on the table to the floor. Christine enters with food, and the reverse shot shows all the items and computer back on the table.
Continuity mistake: While travelling with the novelties salesman, a passing car's occupants yell about the bag of groceries on top of the car. As the camera faces the salesman's car, he puts up the window advertising the fake bag gag. As the camera faces out towards the passing car, the window goes up again. Later, a truck passes by, and the salesman does the same thing, but the message is now in Spanish, without the man stopping to change it. A moment later, the window advertisement (seen from inside) appears to be in English during the same scene.
Continuity mistake: When April changes into a school girl's outfit to distract Dr. Stockman's assistant, she grabs a miniskirt and ties it around the skirt that she's already wearing. But we never see her take this particular skirt off. It just magically disappears. She is also wearing pantyhose which suddenly changes to over the knee stockings.
Continuity mistake: The small wound below Jack's left eye increases and decreases size through the film.
Other mistake: When Alice's ship is being chased, she orders her crew heel to port (turn left). Instead, it turns heel to starboard (right).
Factual error: When Apocalypse touches the television in Cairo and says he is "Learning", the next shot shows the rooftops with many smallish satellite dishes in view. This is set in the early eighties when satellite dishes for TV were much larger.
Continuity mistake: When Jasper takes Tulip to meet her family, Tulip gives Jasper her iPhone so he can take a video of her. After Tulip hesitates to ring the doorbell and walks away, Jasper still has her iPhone since she never took it back from him. However, after Tulip finds Junior in Hunter's trap, she uses her iPhone to order and return a package.
Continuity mistake: At breakfast in the BFG cave the bottle of frobscottle is taken from the table by the big bad giant when he says "I is taking this", only to show up again when Sophie clambers out the shnozcumber.
New this month Continuity mistake: At the start when Andoor meets Tivik, Tivik's coat over his shoulders keeps moving between shots - on both shoulders, then on one, then both, etc.
Factual error: Virtually all of the CGI animals in this film are rendered at about 150% of their natural size. Additionally, even a small gorilla could tear the strongest human limb-from-limb, so Tarzan wouldn't have lasted two seconds in a hand-to-hand combat with an alpha male gorilla.
Continuity mistake: In an early scene with the Scrat on board the alien space ship, he accidentally increases the artificial gravity, and there is a control panel indicator with the word "GRAVITY" in English. In a later scene when the ship is out of control and a danger warning flashes in front of him, it's written in an alien language.
Visible crew/equipment: When the duo discover the bird, you can see what looks like a crew member moving behind a tree trying to get out of shot.
Continuity mistake: When Pete and Elliott return to their hideout after the ordeal on the truck is over, it is dark. Moments later when Bryce Dallas Howard arrives, there is a lot more light coming in through the trees and the scene looks brighter. This is in the space of five minutes or less.
New this month Continuity mistake: In the first scene, the old alien man comes to pick up his spaceship and Ratchet instructs him to "Now, let's fire up that mag booster." The old alien pushes the switch forward to start the mag booster. Later in the movie, Ratchet flips the switch backwards to "engage mag booster" as Clank commands.
New this month Continuity mistake: The wounds that Juda got on his face from the fall from the horse at the beginning of the film, disappear the very same day.
New this month Continuity mistake: As Moana lands her boat on the island's shore, Hei Hei the chicken falls onto the sand and starts to walk into the water. An ocean wave pushes him back toward the shore. In the long shot, several people are approaching the boat but the chicken has vanished.
