Plot hole: The snakes escape from the locked box stored in the cargo hold when a small explosive bolt detonates and opens the lid. Post 9/11 all luggage placed in the cargo hold of an airliner would be tested for explosives, and anything larger than half a match head would be detected. The chances of getting an explosive bolt on board - nil. None whatever. You can also think of it this way - if the bad guys could somehow smuggle explosives on board, why bother with such an elaborate and flawed plan as letting snakes loose on the plane? Why not just smuggle a bomb on board? Pan Am 103 - the so-called Lockerbie flight - was brought down with a bomb that fit inside a small cassette player.
Plot hole: There are six metal bars mounted around the circumference of the water wheel's axle. In the wheel's interior, when Jack frees himself he lands on his feet, begins to run and promptly hits his head on one of those mounted axle bars, then falls out. Moments later, when Jack returns and runs in the wheel, he is shorter (way more than a foot) than all six of the mounted axle bars spinning with the water wheel, which would make that previous shot impossible, however humorous it is. Plot hole: When the ship has turned on its side for the brief moment, it cuts to inside the ship where a hallway explodes, causing the ship to submerge. The only problem is the people are standing on the ceiling, but if the ship's on its side, they'd be on the wall, not ceiling.
Plot hole: Where did Cross get the blood on his hands? The gloves were clean of blood after he looked at the teeth and removed the gloves, so where did it come from?
Plot hole: When Kate went to the aid of the man lying in the street, she was very upset about his death. Would she not have got his name being that she works in a hospital? Also she could have easily Googled him in 2006 to find out where he was or that he had died already. It seemed an obvious ending that she would save his life to change history.
Plot hole: The whole plot of the first "Brother Bear" was that Kenai had to go to that mountain to become human. But at the end of this movie, the spirits were about to change Kenai back into a human in the middle of a cliff, which makes the entire first movie completely pointless.
Plot hole: Not far into the movie, Starla decides to check out the basement to see what Grant's been up to. As soon as the door is opened she reels from the stench and we discover that it's full of rotting meat and dead animals. In reality, the whole house would have smelt like an abattoir for days before hand and the stench would have permeated out into the neighbourhood. A non-airtight wooden door would not have kept that kind of smell located to the basement only.
Plot hole: When Magneto lands the bridge between San Francisco and Alcatraz, only the ends of the bridge are on land, with the rest still suspended in the air despite having nothing to keep it there. Magneto could arguably be using his powers to keep it supported, but at the moment he loses his powers it still does not collapse at the center.
Plot hole: At the end of the movie, when the water drains away, there would be no way for a) the amount of water to drain away that did and b) for the mammoths that came through to be completely dry. (01:16:20)
Plot hole: Contrary to the realism of developing a video game Alex should have had external files such as character models, stage maps and coding on his laptop which he could have used as evidence that JP stole his game, It would be impossible to keep all of the games files on one disc especially if he wanted to change something in the game because if you want to modify a DVD-RW you have to erase the disc data and reburn it.
Plot hole: When John is painting the doll's face he looks down at a photo printout of Amanda, you will notice the bruising/scratches on the side of her face in the picture. Please take note of her hair, shirt and overall demeanor. Now think back to the first Saw when Danny Glover had Amanda in the interview room. The picture that John Kramer is looking at is a picture taken of her in "that exact" interview, this is strange however considering that the interview took place after she escaped the jaw splinter, so how does John have a picture of her from the future? Plot hole: It would have taken much longer to build the 54 acres of homes than the animals hibernated, so there's no way they couldn't have known what was going on around them.
Plot hole: When Ashima's brother calls up Ashoke to inform him about the demise of Ashima's father, his head is shown as shaven. It is just the following day after the death of the father, as he himself declares. However according to Bengali customs, the hair is not shaven off until the thirteenth day after the death of a father.
Plot hole: When the Black & Tans are shown driving through the village, a blue house is visible behind them. The house has modern PVC windows.
Plot hole: If the gasoline in fuel lines and tanks is reaching flash point and exploding, there should not be so many cars just sitting around. Surely all of those vehicles' tanks are not dry.
Plot hole: After the puppies have trapped Denning and Grim in the stall, the goat tells them to go find their parents, when the puppies never told it that they were looking for their parents.
Plot hole: Spoiler Alert: Bruno gets through to the 1 million Euro question on the French version of "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" (WWTBAM) and gets stuck on a question. He decides to call Francois as his Phone-A-Friend. However, Francois is sitting at home watching the drama unfold on TV. The basic premise of WWTBAM is that it is recorded to ensure that a friend who is called could *not* simply use the internet to research a response.
Plot hole: When Farley is preparing to rescue Simon by towing him up with the rope attached to his van, he drops his "cigarette" into his crotch, causing him to floor the gas pedal. His back wheels begin to spin. This is impossible because the vehicle is still in Park. There is even a camera shot of the "PRNDL" proving this. I guess this goof is employed by the filmmaker to increase the dramatic effect of him subsequently slamming the Dodge into drive a second later and careening through the fence. (01:07:35)
Suggested correction: They wanted to make it look like an accident. If the snakes had done their job fully, plane crashes and no-one is the wiser. If the plane blew up halfway it would have screamed foul play. As it was in the movie it was just a terrible accident, a bunch of snakes being shipped got loose.
That doesn't correct the posting. The error is that they could not have smuggled a package equipped with an explosive bolt onto the airliner in the first place. It would have been detected and the package removed from the airliner and either defused or safely detonated. As for nobody being the wiser after the plane crashes, what were all those dead snakes doing scattered about the wreckage?
