Continuity mistake: The yellow getaway car crashes on the waste land then rolls over. After it has come to rest, the mounds of earth used to roll the car have disappeared. Also, the car's windscreen disappears. Just before the crash, on an inside shot, it is there, but on the outside shots it has disappeared.
Visible crew/equipment: Towards the end of the film when Billy runs at the top of the screen towards the exit of the jail, you can see the film crew at the bottom of the screen.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bette Davis has lost her shawl there is a shot of her and Maggie Smith from far away. They talk about the time and in the background Angela Lansbury is drinking. She puts down her glass and leans her head on her hand. Then the shot changes to a close-up of Bette Davis and Maggie Smith and you can see Angela Lansbury in the background, with the glass in her hand, just about to take a drink. (00:55:05)
Revealing mistake: In the warehouse when Billy kicks one of the black-suited bikers off his bike into the stack of empty tin cans, black wires pulling the bad guy up off the bike and into the cans are visible.
Continuity mistake: When Ryan is proving his skills with the orange Mercedes, the driver's door mirror is missing before it strikes the water valve, yet is back moments later. (00:36:25)
Continuity mistake: When Clouseau and Cato are trying to get into "Le Club Foot" they go crashing through the window of a bakery. A little later on, they go through the same hole again, yet this time there is a large undamaged wedding cake sitting there for Cato to land in. The cake couldn't have survived the first accident.
Other mistake: After David Warner kills a man with his long thin sword, he pulls the sword out and puts it back in its scabbard, but there's no blood on the sword or anywhere.
Revealing mistake: A car is driven off a dock into a body of water. Before the car hits the water, special effects shoot up about 10 different blasts of water.
Other mistake: As the police lift the body of the 'dead' hotel clerk from behind the desk, you can see his eyes look around a bit.
Continuity mistake: Though Fausto Zoppi and Jean-Claude Moleno are to have contributed to the 'World's Most Fabulous Meal' for the Queen, neither of them ever shows up in the kitchen during the preparation of the dinner. They don't even appear until much later in the film.
