There's no way the tip of a mast is strong enough to support an entire swinging ship, even if the latter on is a lot smaller.

In the scene when the opera singer arrives in Morocco, she claims it's the first time she's visited the Third World. In actuality, the term "Third World" wasn't coined until the Cold War which didn't start until a few years after the source material for this movie was written.

When Oz is talking to Mia outside near the start, she puts her hands on her shoulders when she says "that's so cute!" In the next shot they're lowered, and she puts them on his shoulders again.

In the scene in Stuttgart, we see a "reserved parking" sign written as "Reservierten Parken". In correct German it would be written "Reservierter Parkplatz".

Throughout the film, Tony Stark's chest ring can be seen glowing through his shirt except for two occasions when it's suddenly off - after Loki escapes from the helicarrier, and when Loki and Tony Stark are talking in Stark tower.

The USS Missouri is a 68-year-old museum ship. Only a few museum ships are still able to sail under their own power. The USS Missouri, however, is not one of them, and could never have left port. There is no fuel on board, corrosion has done serious damage to the rotor blades and controls, and if one was to try and refire the boilers, they would surely explode. Also, there is no ammunition on board, plus all controls have been stripped, and all tubes and barrels blocked to prevent dirt from damaging them. Therefore, it cannot ever fire a shot again. Though it was renovated in 2010, it was mostly to prevent it from rusting away and sinking.

The first few projectiles fired on the destroyers by the aliens are taken out by a phalanx CIWS. However these systems use radar to track their targets, and the aliens have jammed all radar, so it shouldn't be working.

When a global map is shown, the location of Toronto is incorrect. What is labelled as Toronto is actually the location of Montreal.

When a global map is shown, Barcelona appears as the capital city of Spain, instead of Madrid.

At the end of the movie when the girl and guy are boarding the submarine, the camera switches to a view where you can see an apartment complex in the background. If you look towards the top you can see someone standing at the balcony and then they move off towards the balcony door. In the next shot the person is gone.

In the very last scene, Martin and Erika get into a Taxi and head off. This is on Bastugatan in Stockholm and they head west. Bastugatan is a one way road and you can only go east (Go to Bastugatan 14, Stockholm, Sverige and look west, the scene is very distinctive, as is the do not enter sign).

Several scenes show cast members talking on telephones with modular cord plugs connecting the phone to the handsets. These modular plugs were not yet invented.

In the scene where Skeeter is on the phone with the lady who is interested in the book, she has an ashtray with a lit cigarette in it. In the next shot it is gone and the cigarette is in her hand, the next time it shows her the ashtray is back in its original position.

When the car in which EB is a passenger pulls up at the mall and parks, the window in EB's door is completely raised. Then the driver gets out and the window is a couple of inches down from the top. Then EB climbs out of the window - without winding it down - and the window is now about six inches down in the door.

When the kids are reading the book about cinema, Hugo's right hand appears / disappears randomly next to the book between shots.

There is a scene where Hugo is on the station and sees a key down on the tracks. There are two seperate shots of the key and both times it is buried in the stones next to a sleeper. Then Hugo jumps down onto the tracks to pick it up and its now quite sat on the middle of the sleeper when he picks it up.

During the scene when Katniss is looking for Peeta, Katniss wades across the river. When she steps out she is wet up to her thighs. When the camera changes directions, and she sees the blood, her bottom half is dry, even though she was just in water.

Before Peeta throws the big metal ball in the training room, Marvel, Clove, and Cato are watching him. But after Peeta throws the ball, the camera shows Marvel, Glimmer, and Cato. Clove and Glimmer have switched places.

When Stephen sees the video playing on a computer, the bar moving along suddenly jumps backwards between angles despite the video being played forward.

*SPOILER* When Stephen finds Molly dead, her position on the floor and the scarf on the bed change positions between shots.

In the shot where Hyperion is walking through the ranks of his army it first shows his army holding their swords with their left hands, but as the shot changes to the front all the troops are holding their swords with their right hands but in exactly the same combat stance.

When Sylvia shoots Timekeeper Leon, the S&W 945 in her hand has a magazine inserted into it. But in the next shot where she quivers and rushes over, the magazine is gone.

In the scene where the time keeper walks in to the room where Mr. Weiss is calling the other "banks". He makes a phone call using a phone from Bang & Olufson but he uses it the wrong way around. The speaker is facing outwards so he won't be able to hear the person on the phone.

In the first close-up shot when the Prince's aide is complaining about the salmon-pink clothes the Queen has given him to wear, his collar is buttoned closed. In the next close-up shot it is open with silver hook and eyes visible. In the third close-up shot it is buttoned closed again.

During the sandstorm, when Ethan is run over by the car, its left side mirror breaks, but appears fixed in the brief opposite angle.

Early in the film, Ethan is talking with Jane in the back of the van after they have dropped off the Russian. There is a silver flexible arm lamp hanging down that is visible when the camera is on Jane, when the camera cuts to Ethan and back to Jane it is no longer visible. A few camera shots later and it has reappeared in the original location.

In the scene where Billy is trading away players with Pete watching, his coffee cup moves back and forth from right to left without him touching it.

When Brad Pitt is showing Jonah Hill the offer from the Red Sox at the end, his head is resting on his hand in shots from behind, but not from the front.

The last surviving gangster is walked out of the apartment building with the police at the end of movie. He is covered with blood on his hands, face, and clothes, but his white tennis shoes are immaculately clean.

In the scene where the two men are carrying the coffin with the cross on it down to the crypt, the coffin is being held with the cross pointing towards the last man. But in the next shot the cross is pointing towards the first man, as the coffin has been turned around. Then in the next shot the coffin is in its original position, with the cross pointing towards the last man. There is not enough time for the coffin to rotate this many times between the two men carrying it.

The nuns (including Mother Superior, Sister Mary-Mengele and Sister Rosemary) don't age despite the fact during the course of the movie about 25+ years pass.

When Jack comes to the first class door for the first time in his tux, you can see a cameraman in the glass door before he enters.

When Rose and Jack run through the dining room with Cal shooting them, notice that the floor is tilted to reflect the ship sinking. In the next scene when they run down the stairs, the floor is now perfectly level. There is no tilt to the floor. Notice how the water tumbles out of the door - it falls on a flat surface and disperses evenly with no angle to it.

Until 1916, British soldiers were not permitted by regulations to shave their upper lips. That included officers (even generals). Almost all the 1914 cavalrymen should therefore have moustaches. Many don't.

Major Stewart addresses the Indian NCO as "Sergeant Major" and he is so described in the credits. There was no such rank in the British Indian Army. Indian cavalry sergeants were known as Daffadars. More senior Indian cavalry officers held VCO ranks (Jemadar, Risaldar and Risaldar Major) which had no British equivalent. Given the importance of rank and protocol, it is highly unlikely that a British commissioned officer would be unaware of this.
